Music’s become more accessible, but it’s lost the “it” factor of dropping music video, getting requests on radio, etc.

Sing for the moment, Mockingbird, and Toy Soldiers are the most iconic slow ballad/serious Eminem songs. Also, KIM- it is eminem's #1 most memorable song, just not social media friendly
Fun fact: The lyrics were toned down a bit in the official videoclip. They were only allowed one swear word.. Which eminem uses immidiately. Especially the 2nd situations had some different lines.
It’s crazy. Your reactions is exactly how I reacted when I first heard the album when I was young and I’m 39 today smh you take me back flashbacks to my youth SMH you make me feel old lol
Here's a fact few people know about this song: The hook of "guilty conscience" (these voices..these voices..) is based on the hook from a 1963 tune called "I Will Follow Him" performed by Peggy March. The sample used from Ronald Stein's "pigs go home" , fits perfectly with those vocals.
This censored version is the version of the song that I heard first back in the day on TV or the radio. There was no RUclips back then, and I never bought the CD(compact disc for all the kiddies that don't know). So, every time I hear the uncensored version nowadays, I start to sing the chorus(voices, these voices...), and then I get reminded every time that in the uncensored version, there's no chorus, just verses. It trips me up every time.
I always liked the music video announcer with the chorus but of course the uncensored version there’s someone who made the mashup on RUclips buts it’s not perfect but it’s the best we got
There was a dude that wrote to him and told him he was his idol and he too wanted to be a rap artist. Slim actually met with him and even allowed him to come to his house where he told the guy that he enjoyed chilling with him and that he doesn’t know how to relate with other wealthy people and how it was cool and felt more normal to hang with a more down to earth person like him. Em said he’d be in touch and they could hang out again. But after Em went to Cali to do some work with Dre and when a couple weeks went by and the guy didn’t hear from Em, he sent a letter threatening to kill his daughter….said he’d snatch her from school and chain her up in the garage and bash her teeth out so dental records couldn’t identify her. He’s got a ton of crazies as well as fans to pull real life inspiration from.
This reaction just reminds me of how lucky I was to be young when Em came out! It’s why people my age can’t stand rap now. lol! This is only the 2nd video of yours I saw. Have you listened to “Just The Two of Us” on this album yet? You also have to check out “Kim” on the Marshall Mathers LP. That’s just beyond. There’s even an interview with Dre being in the studio when Em recorded Kim. Thank you for giving Em a chance! 💯❤️
I love this whole series haha - gives me some nostalgia mixed with some recognition of why i was so hype on Em ... hes gotta be one of if not THE best lyricist.
@@VERTICILE Bro , i'm fro ma 3rd world country , we dont use Credit cards like that , so honestly i cant pay for anything on the internet ( no patreon for me ma N) 😅
One of my favorites is Warrior Part 2 a collab of Lloyd Banks, Nate Dogg, Eminem and 50 Cent. It's a little different from his other songs and it would be fun to see your reaction.
I remember writing my MUM from Prison doing a 2 yr sentence when i was 15 in 1999 and asking for a copy of this on cassette man. I got it too. Man I'm old.
shady was truly something else but i think it really works for this song like it’s shocking but it happens people listen to their bad side sometimes. Love how simple the song is and the beat and how it’s just shady vs Dre
Got an Eminem recommendation - Infinite. It's from 1996, before he was signed to Dr Dre, before Slim Shady. Very different style (people at the time thought he sounded too much like Nas) but the lyricism is there. Infinite is the title track from the album and it's a genuine banger. There's some other good ones too, all young, raw Eminem before he discovered the Slim Shady persona.
I'm glad you appreciate his early work. Imagine when we were your age and this shit came out. That's why he is still so popular today. And yes, please do Tupac. You'll be blown away.
React to “BUSINESS” next, please 🙏 the way he flows over the Batman beat is insane, he’s referring to him saving Gotham ,and Gotham is the rap game 🔥🔥🔥
"Can he out that in song??". "Sure why not?" Watching your reactions to this... I'm now realizing why some of us are the way we are 😂 I didn't think this was crazy at all. You should've seen adult swim... That also probably explains us lol
You NEED to react to Infinite, his debut album, lyrically incredible but a totally different style to his later stuff, 313 and infinite are masterpieces
Please please listen to Bad Meets Evil I don’t even listen to this man’s music anymore for personal reasons, but I really enjoy seeing your reaction to his music because how you feel about it is how much joy I used to get from listening.
You got to listen to Marshall Mathers, and Im Back, make sure you have the uncensored aka banned version of Im back since i think some uncensored version's are still censored for a line.
You heard of the joe rogan bump and what it does for comedians and podcasters. This is the Marshall bump u owe 10 percent every week now pay your tithe
I remember getting very upset with one of my co-workers for playing this song while we were at work. Then he explained to me that it's not meant to glorify what Shady is saying. It's meant to glorify self control. Totally changed my view. (To be fair, we worked in an art room at the news paper so no one heard it but us...lol)
90% of Dre’s verses were written by the featured artist. Everything he did with Em was written by Em. Songs with Snoop, written by Snoop. And yes, California Love with Pac, written by Pac. Listen closely. Not taking anything from Dre, he was smart. He knew what the song needed. He produced the beat, and if it needed a counterpart he has the LYRICIST write the lyrics for him.
Oh and I had to leave a second comment for you I know I already said something to you about checking out RA the rugged man because he's as lyrically dope as Eminem is honest to God but you also need to check out Yelawolf and Caskey together on an album called Black sheep the whole album is straight fire you'll love it I guarantee it
Ay yo, love your videos, love the energy. Remember that Slim Shady represents intrusive, hateful thoughts. That for M. Mathers, everything Shady believes is the worst parts of himself, and he hates Shady. Think about how 100% against Slim's advice you are for two verses, but how much you *agree* with his third. The third isn't less terrible, it isn't the only time he was right. Slim Shady is a great introspection device. When you find yourself agreeing with him, take a moment and ask yourself why.
Yes, idk if he's came to the realization or understands there is a difference between Eminem and Slim Shady, yet? Slim Shady is the psychotic, evil, alter ego who raps in the higher voice. It's like all of Eminem's evil thoughts.
Hi! I know that maybe my comment has nothing to do with your reaction, but I would like to recommend for future reactions that you react to K-pop, I don't know if you already know what it is, but they are Korean groups that make music, dance, sing, rap, and many compose, produce, and write their songs! You can find anything, hip-hop, pop, rock, phonk, whatever! If you ever do it, I recommend you react to these 3 in particular: Xikers, Straykids and ATEEZ.
Whenever i hear anything from slim shady lp i always think about how i was only 12 when i got this album and really shouldn't have been listening to this at that age, lol. The original uncensored version of this song was a little different, i think this is the tv/radio edited version.
You know... I find it interesting that Eminem got to say all of the stuff he said in his tracks... ...and he said A LOT... NWA we're arrested and shut down for singing F.. the police... I wonder if Eminem would've had the same response if he was rapping his stuff at the time.. ...let's face it.. Eminem and NWA sang about the troubles the encountered in their area

Man, "Notorious BIG - Gimme the loot" is another family-friendly cheerful song you should listen to
This song is 🔥
Hear me out: 10 Cr*ck commandments
So family friendly it should be a nursery rhyme.
Expecting to hear your reaction to Eminems verse on Yelawolf ft. Eminem - Best friend, imo one of the best Em verses ever. And im a seasoned veteran!
Here's a fact few people know about this song:
The hook of "guilty conscience" (these voices..these voices..) is based on the hook from a 1963 tune called "I Will Follow Him" performed by Peggy March.
The sample used from Ronald Stein's "pigs go home" , fits perfectly with those vocals.
"Free range to kill in my opinion" earned you a like and a subscription... Spit soda all over my screen lol. You ain't wrong.
It trips me up every time.
complete opposite for me. this version sounds so fucking weird with that chorus. the announcer dude is a different voice too
Ya, this is the version that didn't get you into legal trouble back then 🤣
I always liked the music video announcer with the chorus but of course the uncensored version there’s someone who made the mashup on RUclips buts it’s not perfect but it’s the best we got
I love watching people discover Shady.
2:50 didn't you just hear him rapping on Forgot about Dre last week..?
This is from before that.
I think he forgot about Dre lol
1:33 Lmao😂
3:25 AYO😳
Cleaning out my closet!!! As an OG Eminem fan, trust me... We were raised on this shit lol
OG Eminem fan here. Superman, Stan, Lose yourself, Cleaning out my closet. Check it out, it will blow your mind
“Never heard Dr Dre before”
Lawt baby geezus
Pure shock value = quintessential slim shady haha
I love this whole series haha - gives me some nostalgia mixed with some recognition of why i was so hype on Em ... hes gotta be one of if not THE best lyricist.
bro said good ending ahahahahjajahahahahahaha
Bro needs to do Hit Em Up (2pac) then Quitter (Eminem)
Those are diss tracks. Each one needs to have it's whole storyline told.
I agree with this 100%....do it, kid!
He knows Hit Em Up. He played it twice during his 23 hour livestream last week
He definitely needs to listen to Pac
we want Eminem - Business
@@khalilousma the whole “the eminem show” album is out in full now on my patreon bro
He’s playing the devil on the guys shoulder. And dre is the angel
He came a time portal it's A.I. from 2002 now into 2024. Em is G.O.A.T a lyrical genius
2pac- still ballin, hit’em up, changes, California love
I went on 3 week vacation and when I came I saw like 10 new vids love ya VERTI the goat
i havent heard this one in time loved this chune growing up
I remember writing my MUM from Prison doing a 2 yr sentence when i was 15 in 1999 and asking for a copy of this on cassette man. I got it too. Man I'm old.
Recently discovered you and now your one of my fave Reactors, just amazing
This dude was speechless for like 27 seconds
As someone that grew up in Detroit south em has always been God. Your reactions are top-notch NEVER change
Put it all out man. I'm reliving my youth watching you spazz just like I did
Im on a binge watching your videos to Eminem 😭😭and why is it im on the 6th and each and every one you ARE MOANING
This is canonically the sane Stan as the song Stan
4:25 it’s not shock value man it’s real life … real look into someone’s conscience
Yeah this is one of the coldest beats of all time
There was a saying back in the day...."Grass on the field, play ball"🤷♂
shady was truly something else but i think it really works for this song like it’s shocking but it happens people listen to their bad side sometimes. Love how simple the song is and the beat and how it’s just shady vs Dre
The birth of a STAN
Em is literally playing the devil figuratively
Got an Eminem recommendation - Infinite.
It's from 1996, before he was signed to Dr Dre, before Slim Shady. Very different style (people at the time thought he sounded too much like Nas) but the lyricism is there. Infinite is the title track from the album and it's a genuine banger. There's some other good ones too, all young, raw Eminem before he discovered the Slim Shady persona.
I'm glad you appreciate his early work. Imagine when we were your age and this shit came out. That's why he is still so popular today.
And yes, please do Tupac. You'll be blown away.
Proclaming murder...! "I say that shit just clownin', dawg, come on, how fucked up is you?"
Glad these are trickling to RUclips!
And btw if you haven't seen Ren's most recent post, take a look. Shit's going down next week.
Quality content glad i found this channel
Bro I think it’s time you heard his best verse ever, one that’ll give you chills! “Medicine Man” you gonna lose your f’ing mind!
Already up another 2k subs!
Listen to these 2 in this order.
Fast lane
Caterpillar
And pretty much anything after that with these 2 together
React to “BUSINESS” next, please 🙏 the way he flows over the Batman beat is insane, he’s referring to him saving Gotham ,and Gotham is the rap game 🔥🔥🔥
His words are hard, but he’s not the one up on charges, or with oceans of rumors swirling around him.
Now you see why he's the lyrical goat
I was 11 and heard all this. Shock value and funny but yet just great music. Btw your reactions are very fun to watch. 🎉😂
“No way he put that in a song” yes yes he did.
"Can he out that in song??".
"Sure why not?"
Watching your reactions to this... I'm now realizing why some of us are the way we are 😂
I didn't think this was crazy at all. You should've seen adult swim... That also probably explains us lol
You NEED to react to Infinite, his debut album, lyrically incredible but a totally different style to his later stuff, 313 and infinite are masterpieces
Please please listen to Bad Meets Evil
I don’t even listen to this man’s music anymore for personal reasons, but I really enjoy seeing your reaction to his music because how you feel about it is how much joy I used to get from listening.
OMG!!! Telepathy is real. I was just thinking yesterday how you should do a reaction to this song and *Forgot about Dre*
You should react “Till I collapse “ this song on my gym soundtrack list more than 20 years and never gets old!
You got to listen to Marshall Mathers, and Im Back, make sure you have the uncensored aka banned version of Im back since i think some uncensored version's are still censored for a line.
Bruv you gotta listen to the song 'Kim' that Em made. Lowkey the most emotional track I've ever heard
😂 (even though this isn't the original song) your reaction is too funny xx
As the saying went "if she's old enough to bleed then she's old enough to breed, and she's old enough to pee then she's old enough for me"
Fire video I remember watching it live
Loved it!
"That's pure shock value"... nah! That was the 90's!!!
Dude check out his song “go to sleep” off the cradle 2 the grave soundtrack it’s my favorite Em song. Also check out his stuff with D12 it’s wild.
Wait till he hears "bad influence" 😅
why did i know he was gonna go “whats up eddie!”
You should def check Dr Dre ... super underrated as a rapper
Your reactios are really cool. Like - 5 years ago The Third Ernest - really cool.
Ah yes new gen reactions to Eminem is alwasy good
(Random fact) If you didn’t notice Dre and Em have the same clothes as the person they are telling to do
LISTEN TO SAY WHAT YOU SAY ITS THE BEST DUET
You should do as the world turns its fire🙏🗣️🗣️
The yap god himself verti put some respek on his name
bro bro bro ..... i couldn't stop laughing at you watching this it was awesome hahahahahaha
I'm still waiting on his reaction to "FACK"
This guy!! 😂😂😂😂this is what entertainment is about!
was waiting for a vidddd
Whenever i hear anything from slim shady lp i always think about how i was only 12 when i got this album and really shouldn't have been listening to this at that age, lol.
The original uncensored version of this song was a little different, i think this is the tv/radio edited version.
It is
If you thought that was unfiltered shock value then you need to hear the second verse of X is Coming by DMX.
