In the United States, the ingredient may use the modifiers ‘organic’ or ‘natural’ as long as the components meet the federal requirements for those terms.” Also: “2,4-Dithiapentane is an organosulfur compound.” So gross! Me and my mom make coleslaw by adding mayonnaise, ranch, salt and pepper and onion powder. It’s actually really good!! We don’t make a whole lot when we do make it and we don’t add much mayo and ranch but I make a mean slaw 😊
"About as edible as astroglide"
Man, I miss Anthony Bourdain's sense of humour!!...He will be sorely missed... :'(
As a chef, takeaway has literally saved my life more than once.
Not "literally ". Figuratively, perhaps.
Chicken and pasta in restaurants because its often over cooked and over priced.
Never ask for recommendations and be careful with the specials because most of the time its the over ordered food that the restaurant wants to get rid of
This should be called "Meals that food snobs won't eat"
Many soups get better "on the second take" though. Nevertheless, when it comes to restaurants the soup du jour bit was sound advice.
chili and spaghetti sauce are better after they are made and refrigerated and reheated the next day
Cajun/Creole gumbo fits this description. I know. I'm Creole.
"by the time you find something on Netflix"..... You underestimate my Netflix scrolling powers.
I hate lentils but only because it’s basically the only thing they gave us in kindergarten for lunch.
4:48 if it's over 2 inches long, I break into a cold sweat. 😂😂
I think that's a Cucumber
ramsey had truffle oil fries at his “cow” restaurant in los angeles... whats up with that
Bobby Flay hates lentils

Bangladesh is a toilet
@@mypointofview1111 Hey I don't want anyone who hates my country. If you are in Bangladesh get out. Every country is the best country.
Digiorno rising crust spinach mushroom & garlic pizza is incredible. I imagine all their rising crust pizza are. For frozen pizzas they really are delicious. They cost me $5.00 even at Wal-Mart.
The Freschetta one is super good too.
mayo is delicious and has a good texture
and im talking about store bought
Some bachelors survive on ramen. I survive on frozen pizza. At least frozen pizzas fill me up.
Ok. I was on board until they bad mouthed mayo. I'm not making mayo from scratch to use in my macaroni salad or my chicken salad. To me, that's the height of snobbery.
I don't think it's snobbery it's maybe a serious preference but mayo from stores is kinda gross. I'm a chef and it isn't so hard to make at home. But it's everyone's personal choice. Truffles are delicious on their own I don't understand why put it in an oil and there is much research it is fake couple times I went to buy it and read the ingredients and I said I'm that's a 👎. Anything imitation is a definite NO 4 me.
Yeah,pretentious twats
Mayonnaise is a very basic, cheap, easy, quick condiment to make. It's also far superior when scratch-,made. It's actually a perfect candidate for DIY'ing when doable.
We aren't talking about mozzarella or beer
@@cheriedancingtree920 - That's your opinion and you're entitled to it. I don't in the least find Hellman's mayo gross nor do millions of others, since its been marketed since 1905.
@atomic3939 Dukes is only available in the American South - most people on this forum don't know what you are talking about. Dukes is so VERY good. Imagine how much these snob celebrity chefs would hate it, just for being delicious and southern? hahaha
Listen. I'm a pro chef. Not to brag but I can cook some pretty amazing things. But I gotta have my totinos parts pizzas.
I make an awesome pizza with homemade sauce, great ingredients, homemade dough, the works - even woodfire it. I still love my Totino's Party Pizzas!
Yummy
Ah yes, the timeless American classic 'yoghurt parfait'
Wikipedia:
“Many truffle oils are not made from truffles, but instead use manufactured aromatic compounds including 2,4-dithiapentane (one of many aroma active compounds that can be found in some truffle varietals) with an oil base. There are no regulations regarding the labeling of 2,4-dithiapentane and it can legally be called truffle aroma, truffle flavor, truffle concentrate or other similar terms, even though it is not extracted from truffles. In the United States, the ingredient may use the modifiers ‘organic’ or ‘natural’ as long as the components meet the federal requirements for those terms.”
Also:
“2,4-Dithiapentane is an organosulfur compound.”
So gross! I had no idea, now I’m definitely never going to eat any of those truffle fries they sell at burger joints. Really grateful to know more about this.
Gordon did actually use Truffle Oil in his caviar episode, so I guess he had second thoughts on it.
J.P. Balas there’s different levels of quality, the cheapest being synthetic but there are truffle oils that use real truffles that are much higher quality and $$
My Mom wouldn't let me leave the table until I ate my Lima beans. I swallowed them like pills. To this day, I hate Lima beans.
The only thing Martha Stewart truly avoids is paying taxes.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
ooooohhh shit
Oh snap!👍
Ramsey's a mayonnaise lover. He puts that (sheeesh) on everything 🤣🤣🤣
If I had the salary of a celebrity chef and had access to/could afford real truffles, then maybe I wouldn't resort to truffle oil. But if you can't afford real ones, know the oil is fake and still enjoy the taste, I don't see the issue.
Nikita Parmar: I think the issue is, the strange synthetic ingredients, and the persistent aftertaste, but of course, eat what you like!!!
Nikita Parmar truffle oil is gross.the taste is gross.
Awsome Video
What is it with mayonnaise being a controversial food? I choose it over ketchup or mustard any day. Yeah, homemade is better, but store-bought is still good!
Agreed, I guess Rachel ain’t never dipped her fries is some good old Mayonnaise, it doesn’t get better.
Hellman’s or homemade for me.
Y’all dip your fries in WHAT?!
@@Livlocalmartian Discovered that trick, when my family moved to Belgium, in '76. Making it is super easy, anyway, so you can have some fab variations on the jarred stuff.
@@carjis Seriously, try it. Use homemade, or Hellman's. Garlic Mayo, or a spicy one, are fabulous.
Ina never said she doesn’t like all breakfast foods- she literally eats oatmeal every day. Plus I have seen her eat French toast for brunch with friends. Lol.
Yeah I'd def pipe too
Yeah she has breakfast, brunch, elevensies, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, supper, plus a midnight snack. Every day.
Oatmeal is one of the worst things a diabetic (like me) could eat for breakfast. A donut would be worse. The carbs would send glucose levels into the stratosphere! Not great for anyone else either.
Incorrect to make the generalisation that everyone keeps frozen pizza in their freezer. It's one of the worst foods to keep there. Better off having some flat bread in the freezer & some grated cheese, sauce etc & quickly make your own pizza. It doesn't have to resemble bought pizzas, just be something you enjoy, yourself.
As a chef, he should know that freezing foods at home using a slow home freezer messes up the texture of foods and is nowhere near the same as flash freezing which is used in store bought pizzas and preserves the texture of foods
Idk most times soup actually tastes better the next day? 🤷🏼♀️
Jacque: That’s true if it was fresh, yesterday. Not if it’s the “soupe de mois” all month long!
Yep, if it's out of the sludge bucket, that's pretty disgusting.
Although of course if you use today's quality unsold ingredients in tomorrow's soup, that's not a bad thing.
My home made soups always taste better the next day.
j freed it’s never today’s ingredients. Any ‘special’ or soup of the day uses the junk they should throw out but they reckon they can make a bucks off it still.
And stews too may be cause all the flavours not ingredients marry n infuse
I'm waiting for a photo from a neighbor catching Chef Ramsay making pizza rolls at 2 am.
I don’t respect people who make extremely broad generalizing statements about stuff like all frozen pizzas being filled with the lowest ingredients, preservatives, and being bad for you
I would venture to guess that most michelin star chefs aren't going to agree on the hatred of carrots. I can't think of a root vegetable that isn't delicious when prepared correctly...
I love mayonnaise, but can’t eat the stuff with raw eggs.
You should check out Cooking With Jack. He is the mayonnaise meister .... that and diarrhea 😄🤣😄🤣
I like Blue Plate! 🍽 that's the best brand. Hellman's is okay of the major brands. Dukes is popular in the 🇺🇸 south.
ALL mayonnaise starts out with raw eggs, sorry to break your heart. Just get over it.
”once it gets over 2 inches long I break into a sweat" that's what she said last night.
Lentils are delicious 🤤
I rather eat lentils than freekah. At least lentils doesn't have a foul stench that cooked freekah has.
@De St it's hard to describe. It's one of the most offensive odours , I've ever smelled in my life. I feel so disgusted of it. It's so bad enough to peel your wallpapers. Lol
@De St it's green durum wheat. Unlike bulgur, it has a strong odor similar to quinoa but much more offensive.
I've made a frozen pizza one time in my 4 years of university. I cook fresh everyday and if i am ever too tired to cook, I'd rather eat out or order a good pizza.
I allways have hated FROZEN PIZZA it’s just gross to me
Crescentpaws5000Wolfpaws so you make fresh pizza every time you have pizza, or you order every time?
Not gonna lie, salted oatmeal would be on the list for me. Or in fact any oatmeal that was prepared with water instead of dairy. It just tastes like a failed attempt at being a soup to me and if all I want is some grains, I'm gonna stick with bread. Though to be fair, I'm german so I have a very good variety of bread on offer that might not be as common in other places.
Oh so this is what Jarvis Johnson was talking about
I say that just as there is variance among the fineness of olive oil, there is fineness of truffle oil too. Both sides of the aisle are sideswiped, know this.
6:20 - I am supposed to take dietary advice from an obese person? That seems like a bad idea. 🤷♂️
BatCaveOz - Exactly!
Most people don’t eat this way because they want to. If everyone was rich we’d all want the best foods but people can’t afford it. Allen would definitely eat a frozen pizza if he was broke, just like we’d all eat a fillet mignon if we were rich
I have never heard of truffle oil! Soup of the day? The same mayonnaise the whole world eats? This is jerks being snobs. I expected to hear things like Brussel sprouts. I want those 4 minutes of my life back. I couldn't go any farther into this video. Who cares what these snobs hate? They look down on anything that doesn't make them seem "special". Booooo
@Paper Please You are just being a baiter. Sheesh
Gordon dealt with a "soup of the month" on multiple Kitchen Nightmares episodes. One of the owners (Prohibition Grille) didn't even know what "Soup de jour" meant. She thought it was just "The soup that they had" and didn't think it needed to rotate every day.
As someone who relies on lentils, Bobby's hatred sounds super privileged.
I've relied on lentils when poor and I admit it's trash food. It is what it is.
@@vOddy75 I'm an Indian vegetarian, and that shit is good, especially when cooked properly with the right spices and served with the right medium and vegetables.
Gautam Sarathy yeah I don’t know where the hate for that comes from, lentils are pretty healthy and they are used in a lot of Indian food
@@LeMuDX I mean, who doesn't like a good dhal, for example?
Gautam Sarathy yeah, usually it tastes great and it’s a decent source of protein and there’s no ethical concerns behind them so Bobby Flay should just take the L because he’s being petty, there are good reasons to not eat stuff like allergies or being sick of them but Flay is American and most Americans don’t eat lentils very often
Vodka.and ice cream, sounds good.
id rather make a pizza at home than to buy one 😕

or just buy a books to read about it.
what is the good way??
”It’s synthetic it’s fake”

As long as it's been in the fridge, soup is usually way better the second day anyway. Same as most 'one pot' dishes, curry, chilli, etc! I see no problem, as long as it's been stored properly....In fact, if a restaurant asked would you like todays soup, made an hour ago, or yesterdays soup, made 24 hours ago...Id have yesterdays!
How about the whole month ?? ?
@@willdpe1256 if its been in the freezer
So she's okay with baby carrots but not the big ones? As a chef, you would think she would know that baby carrots don't actually exist. They are milled down from full grown carrots like toothpicks from a larger piece of wood.
Have you seriously never either bought or seen baby carrots in a shop? They are most certainly real...though that does not discount the possibility that someone somewhere has done what you claim.
Truffle
My mind:GORDON HATES TRUFFLE?
Truffle oil*
My mind:oh relief,do me a favour and throw out every bottle of truffle oil u have,ITS A NIGHTMARE!
i like gordon ramsay, he is a nice guy from heart... but there are a few things about him i simply cannot stand.
even if the food is indeed not pleasing, you at any cost, must not call it names.
forget calling names, throwing the plate across the room is the most uncivilized for a human to do.
what he calls names, there are people out in the world who have to eat that for a living.
yet people out there, during any sort interaction with him, laugh it off..as if its humorous....when in reality i personally beleive they do it out of fear, that he is a notable personalty and that if they raise their voice against him, as he might have the power to end their career. and some just dont think for themselves and follow what and how others react.
I remember back when I worked in a hotel restaurant, the soup de jour could last 3-4 days. On my shift, I used to throw it out! They hated me for it...
Too true! You made someone actually have to think of something good- and then make it! How dare you! lol.
Anyone that knows soup knows it's better the next day.
In much the same way that tea leaves and coffee grounds don't develop their true flavour until they've been used 5 or 6 times.
If I were a food celebrity I would say:
“I don’t really like oil that much, but your food overall is pretty good.”
5:49 HOLD UP! 7 DOLLARS FOR A FROZEN PIZZA??? Here in Spain the most expensive ones are like...not even 4€ and the normal ones cost about 1.80€
Edit: Wait wait...8 DOLLARS! JESUS
2:56 the old bat can take my shift while i make a home-cooked meal. Ffs. 😂😂
I can't stand mayonnaise myself.
Dont care what anybody says but pizza is also going to be good frozen or not. I also prefer some frozen pizzas over fresh pizza.
"everyone keeps a few frozen pizzas in the fridge"
"Edible as Astroglide." LOL I miss Anthony Bourdain.
Not a mayo fan love mustard
Warrent Goins try and find yourself English mustard and mix it with mayo, might sound disgusting, but worth a try lol. Wouldn’t recommend American mustard to mix though, completely different
Chefs that don’t use Mayo have never had Dukes brand.
Seriously, why do people waste money on frozen pizza,I rather eat ramen noodles.
I agree
Degirnos 🍕 is good. I'd eat that & Stoffers frozen french bread pizza. ✅
Truffle oil "Tastes like Astroglide and is made from the same stuff." LMAO....... God I miss Anthony Bourdain!
