Modeling a microphone in 3DS Max Note that the new Array modifier can be used to create the pattern quickly and easily. Watch the video on making a chain link fence for more information.
so im sitting here watching this tutorial and I'm like "man this guy is good, theres only so many good tutorials I've found in 3ds max. I remember Paul neale and his DVDs i use to watch on rigging" And i scroll down and BOOM THERE YOU ARE!! HAH!
@@paulneale you're truly amazing. You taught me all of my rigging knowledge back in the early 2000's. thank you so much. One day I hope I can work on something with you, I don't know where or how but I feel like I'd come away with more massive knowledge!
@@iatethecrayons well thanks. It would be fun but these days I don't do a lot of production work. I'm a full time professor and only work on select projects here and there.

When you creating spline net you were using orthographic view and i think beginner will prefer prospective view
Why on earth would you say that? Ortho give you a flat view that is often needed.
How long have you been studying and working with 3D modeling, mister?
25 years
