Such an informative video brother! I was able to learn a lot about the great history and technological accomplishments of Harley Davidson as a company and the Vrod in such a short time! Can’t wait for the upcoming videos and the Body Kit reveal!! 🔥🔥
I love Vrods. I’ve had 6 over the last 19 years and currently have two. My first was an 04B that I got early in 05. In the lineup of Vrods over the years included two Nightrod Specials. One of my current Vrods is a 2008 Nightrod, the last year of the original Nightrods. It is hands down my favorite Vrod and the one I should have gotten many years ago. Not counting the drag strip only Destroyer model, the 08D is the fastest Vrod that they made. That’s if you compare them strictly by the numbers. It got all the 2008 upgrades including the bigger 1250cc motor that they put on the newer Vrods to compensate for the larger 240 rear tire, however the 08D kept the lighter narrow 180. Also off all the factory wheels, the 08D has the lightest wheels. So it basically comes down to a horsepower to weight ratio race, and the 08D wins. One of my favorite features is the mid controls and forward highway pegs. This makes it the most comfortable in my opinion. Anyway, you sir have an awesome bike and welcome to club Vrod. Thank you for making more Vrod content.
Thank you for the great comment brother. This is my first Harley so it's great to learn the experience of veterans like you. I got a 260 rear wheel and the smaller 1130cc motor, it's still plenty fast! But I'd love to experience the faster setups. Based on my research you can't do much to gain power unless going with forced induction. Have you done any performance mods?... And I definitely wish mid-controls with highway pegs were a standard feature on all VRODs!
@@ataexpo3886 That’s one of my favorite features of the Vrod, they come with tons of performance off the rip compared to any other Harley. I’ve had two turbo Vrods hitting just over 160 ponies. I’d like to do a super charger one day and I’m thinking about a big bore for my Nightrod. But after talking to one of my Vrod buds, he has me seriously considering just doing a stage two. I’ve got everything already but the cams and that will get me closer to a 150hp than not and keep ride and reliability. If you want a cheaper performance mod that you can really feel in the seat, get the 26 tooth front pulley. You’ll lose a little off the top end, but your 0-100 will be balls fast, off the line, or light to light is intense. I’ve put it on my last three Vrods. Check out Fitzgerald’s Motorsports. Scott there is the man when it comes to Vrod performance. That front pulley isn’t crazy expensive either. Maybe $200 I think. Definitely worth it though. Cheers.
Outside of the liter bikes, in the power cruiser category there isn’t much that can compete with the Vrod. The M109 try’s to put up a fight, and the Vmax is basically a monster version of a naked R1. The Rocket III has an extra cylinder and still doesn’t really walk away from the Vrod. At a minimal Harley has always had a better fit and finish than any other manufacturer out there. Harley has lots of bikes on the tracks, and huge motor builds. There are a few of us Harley riders that like performance. We just like it with some style too.

@@bothetinman772Man you're the VRod master! Thank you I will look into the mods for sure.
Vrod will be like picasso. Best HD ever made. 🤘🖤🤘
First to be here! Brruuh! That sounds sexy AF 🔥
Thank you!
to sell a product you must understand your customer, Harley riders don't care too much about speed. if they did, they wouldn't be Harley riders.
Very true. Many of the competitors offer speed at much lower cost
