Have you tried using Topaz Video AI? It's capable of slowing down videos, so you could potentially shoot at 4k24, then slow it down to half speed or beyond using Topaz after the fact. The benefit of that is that (a) it takes up less memory card space, and (b) you can get away with shooting at 1/50 rather than 1/120, so it lets a lot more light in and you get a cleaner image with a lower ISO (in low-light environments). And another added bonus is that you can record at 4k24 with no crop on the A7IV and the A7RV, so it could save you a ton of money by using them instead of going for the A1ii (if uncropped 4k60 is the main deciding factor in pushing you to the A1ii)
It’s for sure interesting. I’d rather do it correctly in camera for a wedding though. It’s also an efficiency thing to just be able to send footage to my editor the night of the wedding and they can start on it the next day. Can’t shoot 1/50 either since I’m doing photography as well
I run 2x a7iv for hybrid weddings and the 4k60 crop is so annoying lol I’ve been shooting 4k30 aperture prio just letting shutter crank and then slowing by 20% in a 24p timeline kinda brings it back to less digital feeling. There’s a few moments where I’ll shoot 1080/120 if I know I need slowmo
I second that notion. But it will be to a loved home with no hate. We adore Sony color science and small factor and grip. Even if the updates don’t come or is introduced in a new camera. I will be grateful for Sony to be in my hands. For the right price. 😂
Get in on the Black Friday deal here before it's gone! www.taylorjacksoncourses.com/black-friday-2024
28-70 with 135 on a second body. 16-25 as backup...done
Taylor, when switching to video, do you adjust the shutter speed for 180° shutter angel?
Nope. I just hit record button. If it looks glitchy I use ReelSmart Motion Blur
Do you turn ON or OFF Live view display when you use third-party Flash???
Yah. I have a custom button set to it.
@@TaylorJacksonPhoto I am asking do you turn off or ON when you use Profoto and godox third-party flashes???
What kept you from using the A1 mk1?
No fully articulating screen
What about flashes Taylor what flashes do you use?
Profoto a10
Isn't that flash and controller the price of a nice camera😬

Tamron 70-180...?
That’s a nice lens too. The 35-150 does that job for me though
No Nikon :-(
Would be weird to include my Nikon kit in a Sony kit video haha. I hope Nikon will start allowing dual slot video recording soon
Shoot I’ll take that A93 off you hands. Jk jk. I can’t afford to take it off you hands for a fair price.
