    The USA team would need bars with at least 6.0 in difficulty. Eventually, Simone, Suni, Shi and Zoe can reach the landmark. Skye's bars routine is close and clean.

      It’s still early in the season and if there wasn’t a little bit of rust and some cobwebs to clean off I’d be concerned. Rest assured Simone is probably cleaning her routines and looking at upgrading where she can. If she was falling a bunch I’d be more concerned.

I just felt terrible for some of the awful leg positions that happened. One in particular, made me gasp, "Oh no. They need to fix that." But otherwise the nerves will calm with experience.

      @bloodrainicorn6193 Yes, she has nice little arches and good extension in her knees. His reaction is really making me so uncomfortable, and the way he walked away before her dismount and didn't turn around to even see what happened. This is disturbing. I think she should maybe move on to a better training program. Maybe one also that would maximize her difficulty and execution for her body type. 😔❤️

    Some of these girls are just about an inch too short, and that's causing them real, and needless problems. Their coaches are pushing them too hard, too soon, (generally) too young. There needs to be a minimum height requirement to qualify for competing in this competition. For the shorter girls, the bars need to be about 3 inches closer together horizontally speaking, and about 1 inch lower, as well. Anything less than these standards is *CHILD ABUSE.*

    • @AEB72112
      @AEB72112 Год назад

      Oh, honey.... That's not child abuse, lol. These girls CHOSE this sport and knew well enough what they were signing up for. Gums have standard equipment for all athletes to use. Now, that old pedo gym doctor, Nazzar whatever??? THAT was child abuse!!!

    • @cocoroni1031

      @@cocoroni1031 I'm not saying I agree with this person but the logic of "if Simone can, then everyone should" is not very solid.
      While I think it would be nice for girls to get the apparatusses adjusted for their needs, that would be a logistics disaster and dangerous if something goes wrong during adjustment. Both in competition and in practice.
      Ultimately having a natural advantages and disadvantages because of the body you have is in the nature of every sport ever. Either you can make it work or you don't. Sometimes it won't work even if you try your hardest. Also, pretty much the entire sport of gymnastics could be considered child abuse if you take into account how much they put their body through. The human body was not meant to do a million flips in the air.

    • @cocoroni1031
      @cocoroni1031 Год назад +7

      @@jodavitow "There needs to be a minimum height requirement to qualify for competing in this competition" is an attempt to exclude great gymnasts like Simone. Not only we can't see great gymnastics, but the exclusion is also DISCRIMINATION against short gymnasts. Also, there is NO CHILD ABUSE just for doing gymnastics. Child abuse happens when some evil subjects like Nassar are involved.

    • @captainbryce1

      I think your comment is way off base. First of all, if you want to know what child abuse looks like, then look at what China and North Korea has been doing for the past 30 years. Here's a routine from the 1992 Olympics. Kim Gwang-Suk is 4'4" tall and 60 lbs.
      ruclips.net/video/wrPyqCyhz24/видео.html
      They list her age at 17, but she's obviously no older than 12. The reason she never smiles is because she's missing her two front teeth (possibly because they haven't come in yet). That is child abuse! However, she's 4 inches shorter than Simone Biles, and she has no problem going from bar to bar (albiet with different skills). Here's another routine from a gymnast who is less than 5 feet tall (and probably also underage).
      ruclips.net/video/mw9W_tFnjDc/видео.html
      There is no one competing in this event is under 16 years old, and when you look at the top 6 finishers in this field - their ages are: Melanie (23), Zoe (18), Skye (18), Simone (26), Nola (17), Jordan (22). The second oldest gymnast outscored everyone, and the oldest gymnast was top 3. Jade, Jordan, and Suni all came back after going to college. The point is, gymnasts peak at a later age now. It's no longer a "young girl's" sport anymore and you don't see 14 year old's like Nadia Comaneci winning anything anymore. It's not child abuse when the top performers are of legal age! They can quit anytime they want. The only time the girls suffered known abuse was back in the days of the Karolyi camps (prior to 2017). Most of these women were not competing then. Simone is the only survivor of that era here.
