      No question about it. As one commentator stated at last year's Worlds, among WAG Simone is PEERLESS. Not only that, she is the most dominant female athlete in the world if not the most dominant athlete period and she has been that for some time now.

    Am I wrong or is this the first time Simone has scored top both in the all around AND individually??? Incredible. Shout out to Skye as well! She is fast becoming a strong contender for Paris.

      unBILEvable isn't it? I firmly believe in 2028 if all our lives are spared and she is still healthy and fit, Simone will still be able to do a floor routine that will outscore every other WAG.

    Does anyone know if Jordan has upgrades coming for trials?

    • @lb7617
      @lb7617 8 месяцев назад +4

      i don’t think so… i think her routines that she performed at nationals are as difficult as she’s capable of. i know that she is able to perform a second vault, the “lopez”, at trials if she’s hoping to show that she can perform two vaults

      @JoshuaBaldwin-rh5lk I've been really hoping for a Jordan Cheng all year. Her Lopez is a thing of absolute beauty, it's always seemed hard to believe that she can't turn into a successful Cheng.

  • @drew-ih7bx
    @drew-ih7bx 8 месяцев назад +2

    Now that Skye has a higher scoring Cheng than Carey, we really only need a floor specialist and if Kaliya can score 14.3+, she must be taken to Paris

    • @erinm9445
      @erinm9445 8 месяцев назад +1

      I love Kaliya's floor so much. But if the team is Simone/Shi/Skye/Suni as a lot of people think it will be (Skye and Suni both still need to show consistency at trials to earn their spot though) then that's a lot of of people on one team with asterisks by their name. Simone had twisties, Shi has her shoulder thing, Skye has never performed well internationally, and Suni has her health issues that could flare. If they bring that team they need a rock-solid vet for the fifth spot, someone with a strong AA who can go on any event if needed, plus an exceptional floor. That's Jade or Jordan to my mind. Numerically Jade would probably be on the higher scoring team (once she brings floor upgrades), but Jordan is barely below her and also has a killer bars in case of issues with Shilese's shoulder, and is so good for team morale. It would be hard to choose!

      Kayla is currently a stronger all around option than either Jade or Jordan.

    I love Simone but Jordan's bar routine was better. Did she have an error on day 1 that put Simone's score higher for both days? Because otherwise, Jordan's bar routine was better, more difficulty, and she should have won the gold.

    The tumbling is spectacular, but do judges still take deductions for flexed feet, leg separations, missed handstands, sloppy turns and bad dance? I know they used to.

    • @cantfindbianca
      @cantfindbianca 8 месяцев назад +2

      of course they still do that’s where all the deductions come from. flexed feet, leg separations, handstands, bad dance, and bad turns are where judges take big deductions from

    • @erinm9445
      @erinm9445 8 месяцев назад +2

      I mean, you saw that most of the winning E scores were in the low 8s, right? Where do you think all those deductions come from? The domestic judging is certainly too lenient, with beam and vault being maybe extra egregious, but they're still taking a lot of form and artistry deductions.

  • @urabagofcells2228
    @urabagofcells2228 8 месяцев назад +4

    Love watching Simone now that its confirmed she hates learning floor routines (I assume for the dancing elements). Its almost comical now, and makes you think, yeah why all the arm flailing and leg swirling? I get the leaps and wolf turns but i mean all the other fluffy stuff.

      I understand what you’re saying….. Simone is so far on another level, it makes the others look “mediocre” & they really aren’t. But she is winning by 6 points! WHEN has that ever happened before. That is the equivalent of the 2nd place winner falling 6 times!! (She even won Gold on the Uneven bars, which she hates)

    • @aliciamcdonald7105
      @aliciamcdonald7105 8 месяцев назад +3

      *Some of these scores wont hold up in Paris* No domestic competition scores hold up internationally to be fair. A matter of fact, Simone is the ONLY gymnast for me who suffers a *negligible* downgrade in scores internationally as oppose to domestic while others are way harsher. Case in point, last year the Chinese were crediting Zhang Qingying's ATTEMPTED Yurchenko loop but most times at Worlds it was counted as a fall and she at no time got the big score(s) she got from domestic judges.
      Domestic scoring all over the world is always inflated to varying degrees but if I were competing I would always shave at least 3tenths off of what they gave me to get a better sense of what I will score internationally.

    When you compare these beam routines to the beam routines Shawn Johnson, Dominic mouchiano, Kerry strugg, did they don’t come close. Simone Biles is over rated and her beam work isn’t nearly as clean.
