In fairness, I don't think many people would've foreseen Alice D'Amato winning the beam title. It was a wonderful surprise and so well deserved!

Alice D’mato didn’t even make the list! But in all honesty her taking gold there was a (pleasant) surprise. I think most of us thought she would get a bronze medal on uneven bars, she surprised most of us and probably herself.
