I use to be a gymnast. Before going to a gymastics club, I had self taught myself a lot.. Flip flops, back flips, and I was very flexible. I then finally went to a club, and was taught the proper way to do what I had taught myself, which the head coach was impressed that I had even been able to teach myself what I did, so after working hard for 4 1/2 years, He had put together a team to qualify for the Olympics. Unfortunately a year into preparing I had a serious knee injury from the beam. Which took me out of gymnastics for life. It took 3 surgeries just to fix the injury. However, I STILL love watching these girls do things that take a lot of hard work, precision, and dedication. Kinda jealous that I can't even do a backbend now. LOL. I admire these women. Urara beautiful & calm on BB. Love Shafer's unitards cool! Zhang Quingying had a fall she was way over scored with a 13.100! I guess, execution only matters for certain gymnasts? Totally dominant performance from Queen, Simone on BB. Biles was boss of the BB here blowing away the competition. Zhou Yaqin well done. Sanne Wevers, such a beautiful artist on bb. A Queen of the beam her turns--masterful just a few wobbles. Sanne is Amazing age 32 love it! Face plant from Shilese, aww she will learn from it. Andrade strong performance w/a few wobbles. Andrade and Simone came back with a vengeance. Excellent BB final.
What an incredible display of talent and dedication! Simone and Rebeca truly shone during this competition, with both of them showing why they're among the best in the world. Simone’s return is nothing short of extraordinary, and Rebeca’s artistry on the beam was breathtaking. Zhou's routine was also stunning-such precision and elegance. It’s amazing to see how these athletes push the boundaries of the sport. Kudos to all the gymnasts for delivering such unforgettable performances!
She still is, anyone who makes a worlds final is amazing. She has really taken good care of herself, she looks healthy. I've seen so many retired gymnasts who end up looking years older than their age by 30, probably as a consequence of so many years of overstressing their bodies.
@@craighill216luck plays a huge role in every single sport throughout the Olympic Games. She capitalized on Simone making a mistake and won a well deserved gold medal for it. Your attempt to downplay her achievement is not only petty it’s pathetic and laughable.
@ you don’t seem to understand your own words, try actually reading them first. By saying “she got lucky” you downplayed her achievement. You sound like the type who has never accomplished anything of any value or merit in life whatsoever, who has to degrade the achievements of those who reach the pinnacle just to attempt to build yourself up. Nice try but you have failed miserably. Enjoy meaninglessness.
Yes, she did a great set but, that fall was very uncharacteristic of her, from what I've seen. Although, I'm sure these athletes get sooooo tired bc they have done so much gymnastics over the course of these worlds. I'd say she was exhausted!
@@ajimenez1719ify Shilese said after the US Championships that she is only 75- 80% fit and I saw evidence of that at the championships. She would wear a back brace before her routines and if you watched her feet before she dismount they were shaking which told me that she was fatigued. As such, I was not surprised that she did not have a good dismount afterwards.
Going back here again, Zhou's front acrobatic series was so good that she was able to perform her jumps immediately. She really landed that acro perfect and no balance checks. Beautiful.
@@caitlyngraham8480Totally agree. She showed COMPLETE MASTERY of the apparatus by being fluent while performing some of the most difficult acro skills on that four inch wide heart (sometimes ankles, shins, knees and definitely pride) breaker. She hit all her leaps and required elements so I am not sure what else the judges were looking for that she did not do that warranted such low execution marks. Someone suggested (jokingly I believe) that the judges in this tournament wanted to give the impression that the competition to the US and Simone in particular is closer than it really is.
The most interesting thing about this video is that Biles has 4 gold medals in Beam at Worlds, but Wevers has none. As for the Olympic gold medal, Wevers has one gold and Biles has two bronze medals. So we can see how bizarre Beam is. Biles is always on the Beam podium, but the Olympic gold is missing, which I really believe will come in 2024! Cheering!
It seems that Zhou Yaquin had some problems, without these problems, her D score would have been higher (around 6.8). Her candle mount was not correct at all, and could not have been counted or devalued (maybe to B or C), also perhaps the connection after her side tucked full twist jump was not counted since she had a small balance check after this jump.
Ms Biles has set the new standard of all around gymnastics. She is flawless and had great execution on all the equipments. So happy the she has melanin. When people with melanin e cell at sport they set the bar for all others to chase. Can’t catch the GOAT.
Anyone know who the commentator is? I've enjoyed his commentary very much, and I enjoy the time taken to appreciate and understand the routines instead of constantly focusing on deductions. I'll never go back to NBC.
The judges deducted Zhang Qingying for a fall on her Yurchenko loop in the team final, but for some reason they didn't here despite her making the same mistake. That decision ended up costing China a team medal.
@@eimardgomes1128She performed a solid routine in the team final but scored a mark lower than her qualifying score because the judges considered her awkward landing of the Yurchenko loop as a fall on the apparatus. But in the event final she scores the same again despite this time having two falls. The switch ring was a definite fall, no question about that, but that means the judges didn't count her awkward landing on the Yurchenko loop as a fall this time despite her making the same error. If they had counted it as a fall her score would have been a 12.1 instead.
@@Gazmeizster_Wongatronyeah I noticed that. In event finals, the yurchenko landing actually looked like a fall this time since she had to adjust herself to get back up properly. I feel like they should have counted it in team finals and should have just deducted her for it instead. As much as I miss seeing the skill, I don't think it's a good fit for routines in the current code unless it's really consistent
The thing of it was, the stumble on the beam was only a half mark- she didn’t actually hit the ground but stayed on the beam. It was considered grabbing the beam (in it’s own sense, same as Pauline). The E score actually represents that they counted it as a fall again. Other than those two things most of the rest was super clean, unlike in qualifying where there were a couple of hesitations on jumps and such.
Does anyone else think it’s strange that the stadium commentator is giving the play-by-play and pointing out errors to the audience after each routine while the judges are still coming up with the scores?
That's what Sports Commentators *do* though, and have done, for decades! Believe it or not, not every athlete comes from a country where everybody has a television. They listen to the radio to find out what's happening. That's how a *LOT* of people get their Sports Entertainment, still. I listen to boxing and MMA because I don't wish to buy the PPV.
Also it's funny how Zhou Yaqin and Sanne did not commemorate their medal positions, thought they deserved more... 😅. I'm not a fan of Simone's beam routine but she trully deserved the gold. Have no complains about the podium, although Zhou Qin and Sanne were my favorites. Judges were fair.
Agree..why doesnt Andrade have a more difficult dismount than the standard pike double tuck? Sannes one handed backhandspring seemed harder than any tumbling move Rebeca did and felt she should get the bronze instead.
Idk I kinda feel like the dutch girl was robbed of bronze..... Her routine was way more creative and difficult than Rebecca's, and both had good execution.
The double pike dismount of Rebecca is not difficult ans done so often. Simone only did it at Tokyo because of the twisties and said she hadnt done a double pike dismount since she was 12 years old. Just wondering why Rebeca doesnt have a harder dismount?
That's bc she never quit practicing, she was only off from competing. Yes she took a little time off from practice but not enough to mess her gymnastics up.
Of course she never quit being in the gym but that does not equate to SERIOUS training. She admitted that she would go to the gym but only started to SERIOUSLY train about after her wedding. For some this might seem hard to do and accomplish but Simone has been doing this routine (except the mount) for YEARS. These moves are definitely etched in the memory of her muscles and so all that was needed was the concentrated practice to get back to competitive level. One could tell that Simone was NOT practicing for a long time because of how winded she was after her floor routines every time and she said so. When she has been back at training for some more months, we will see a fully fit Simone who will perform an upgraded floor routine with not as much heavy breathing that this downgraded one elicited.
Rebeca deu entrevista dizendo que odeia ser a ultima à competir e foi a ultima no pior aparelho dela a trave e acho que nem ela acreditava em uma medalha.
She had more difficulty tunbling than Rebeca with that one habded backhandspring..Rebeca routine and tumbling dudnt appear difficult and her double pike dismount is so basic..i think Sanne should have gotten bronze
Kind of a shame that the picture of this clip sitting in RUclips showed the podium results before anyone even had a chance to click and watch. Oh well. And interesting how the slow-mo footage of the second Chinese gymnast skipped over her bobble on her full jump turn. (Did they think if they didn't show it we would forget?)

I may be American but I’m pulling for Rebeca to win all around gold in Paris
Nothing wrong with that. Btw, I am NOT an American but I am most certainly pulling for Simone to win all around in Paris if life spares.
E ela ganhou 1 ouro 1 bronze e 2 pratas, você deu sorte para ela 😅😅😅
Zhou had a stunning routine!
MY GIRL SIMONE DID IT♥️SO PROUD OF HER!
Wow amazing finals! Im si proud of everyone, they are giving everything they got at this point and its amazing
Incredible routine by Simone Biles, the greatest! Breathtaking, deserved to win. Gold for the queen. 😍💞👑🥇
Sanne was a fabulous beam worker. #Rio2016
She still is, anyone who makes a worlds final is amazing. She has really taken good care of herself, she looks healthy. I've seen so many retired gymnasts who end up looking years older than their age by 30, probably as a consequence of so many years of overstressing their bodies.
She was just lucky simone fall 2016 😂
@@craighill216luck plays a huge role in every single sport throughout the Olympic Games. She capitalized on Simone making a mistake and won a well deserved gold medal for it. Your attempt to downplay her achievement is not only petty it’s pathetic and laughable.
@@saragrant9749 am not downplaying her achievement she was lucky the end
@ you don’t seem to understand your own words, try actually reading them first. By saying “she got lucky” you downplayed her achievement. You sound like the type who has never accomplished anything of any value or merit in life whatsoever, who has to degrade the achievements of those who reach the pinnacle just to attempt to build yourself up. Nice try but you have failed miserably. Enjoy meaninglessness.
Rebeca, atleta maravilhosa, flutua com seu jeito carismático e concentrada❤😊🎉
When the commentator says 'Dear oh Dear' 😂😂😂
Shilese, that was a great routine, just the landing.
She might have medaled had it not been for the fall. Either way I'm still proud of her and what's she accomplished.
Beautiful.
Simone did a PERFECT routine 😍
Simone’s routine was wobble-free. She was SO solid, and made the wolf turns look good, unlike so many other gymnasts. Why such a low execution score?
I agree. She totally owned that beam! Complete command!
Yeah her arm movements on that wolf turn was very satisfying and the most elegant arm movements on a wolf turn that I’ve ever seen
The judges are tired of Simone winning everything, unfortunately
@@KeryOnly Nah, not the judges just coaches and FANS of different WAGs.
Rebeca and Simone: 2 Queens 🖤
Rebecca looked good in that yellow leotard. Don't usually see yellow leotards.
Wow Ashikawa was fantastic!
Wow at Sanne's elegance.
This year, really entertaining. Wild skill come back
The most interesting thing about this video is that Biles has 4 gold medals in Beam at Worlds, but Wevers has none. As for the Olympic gold medal, Wevers has one gold and Biles has two bronze medals.
So we can see how bizarre Beam is. Biles is always on the Beam podium, but the Olympic gold is missing, which I really believe will come in 2024! Cheering!
Simone you are freaking amazing ❤
It seems that Zhou Yaquin had some problems, without these problems, her D score would have been higher (around 6.8). Her candle mount was not correct at all, and could not have been counted or devalued (maybe to B or C), also perhaps the connection after her side tucked full twist jump was not counted since she had a small balance check after this jump.
Rebeca fez a prova da vida dela! 👏🏻❤️
No one can top Simone, love her❤she’s earned every bit of her greatness♥️🥰♥️🙏🏼♥️❣️
No one can stop Simone, because she's a *dopinguist.* What *methylphenidate* and *Adderall* do! Simone is the Queen of *DOPING.* 💉💊👎
These athletes are incredible!!!!!!
The 2nd place Chinese athlete was Beautiful to watch. All of them were actually.
Essa trave da simone não tem defeitos, melhor que já vi
Simone and Rebeca 😍❤️🇧🇷
Zhou yaqin definitely deserves first place.
Alright Simone! The best performance of the day. ❤
I like how Rebecca Andrade goes fast and keeps things moving.
22:00 Sanne Wevers my favorite
Ms Biles has set the new standard of all around gymnastics. She is flawless and had great execution on all the equipments. So happy the she has melanin. When people with melanin e cell at sport they set the bar for all others to chase. Can’t catch the GOAT.
Loved the Chinese gymnast after Simone! GORGEOUS.
Rebeca lands the dismount with the chest so up high
Soon she will be doing the full twisting double back in competitions I hope
Anyone know who the commentator is? I've enjoyed his commentary very much, and I enjoy the time taken to appreciate and understand the routines instead of constantly focusing on deductions. I'll never go back to NBC.
Olly Hogben.
The judges deducted Zhang Qingying for a fall on her Yurchenko loop in the team final, but for some reason they didn't here despite her making the same mistake. That decision ended up costing China a team medal.
how do you know?
Also, the critiques give the casual viewer the chance to see WHY the judges might score as they do. It's Professional!
I love them both, but Sonne is just my favorite
Rebeca have more D (Dificulty) than Sanne. Rebeca had 6.0 x Sanne 5.9.
The double pike dismount of Rebecca is not difficult ans done so often. Simone only did it at Tokyo because of the twisties and said she hadnt done a double pike dismount since she was 12 years old. Just wondering why Rebeca doesnt have a harder dismount?
Get it Simone!!! You are amazing!
Bile did the beams as though it was a piece of cake.Gifted gymnast.
Omg Simone was so happy for Rebeca be on the podium
So glad to see that Germany has opted for modest dress. I've always wondered why female gymnasts had to wear such immodest attire.
Why the thumbnail? You spoiled the results.
I thought it was beautiful and no i didn't spoil the result it's already spoiled if you missed the livestream
The speed, balance and power of Simon Biles and the gracefulness and elegance of Zhou Yaqin🤩🤩🤩
Rebeca deu entrevista dizendo que odeia ser a ultima à competir e foi a ultima no pior aparelho dela a trave e acho que nem ela acreditava em uma medalha.
I love that the announcers didn't criticize every move made during the routines.
i loveee what paulina was wearing, it lowkey looks like a mugler bodysuit🤩
LOVE ME SOME SIMONE BILES! GOAT!!!
Love Germanys suit
Zhou's routine was the most pleasant one to watch. I wish the scoring would put her routine at first place.
I'm sorry, but that Dutch girl DESERVED a medal. Sanne was cheated.
She had more difficulty tunbling than Rebeca with that one habded backhandspring..Rebeca routine and tumbling dudnt appear difficult and her double pike dismount is so basic..i think Sanne should have gotten bronze
Gorgeous the long trousers, so much more aestetical! Simone Biles so so wonderful!
