    Can we just give Suni Lee some serious credit for putting on that performance with less than 2 months of only light training due to health issues. I mean, a silver on balance beam while cutting big chunks of her difficulty out because she wasn't 'in shape?' Yeesh.

    My only critique is the American ladies gotta get their leaps and splits to 180. When you watch the Chinese ladies, you can see the difference in splits and leaps. The international judges will critique splits that are not 180 horizontal especially when the Chinese ladies go past horizontal.

    Kidney disease can be fatal. I am so sorry that Suni is dealing with this but she must take care of her vital organs before anything else. My sister has 3rd stage kidney disease, potassium levels are super high, chest pains, multiple hospitalizations and each time she’s discharged only those of us close to her know how serious her disease is. Her philosophy is that she’s not going to stop living until she drops dead. The difference is Suni is very young and should take however long it takes to get better, my sister is 68 so she really doesn’t care. I can see in Suni’s face even with all the makeup that she’s not well and I hope she puts her health over elite gymnastics. She’s a cute, sweet, talented gymnast. Her coach puts too much on her bar’s routine as she will never beat Nina from the Netherlands. Suni, I love you but don’t play with your vital organs. I’m surprised they are even letting her compete knowing rxs contain many substances. So sorry. She did really good but if she were my child she would not be doing this type of sport.

    • @alisont.6940
      @alisont.6940 Год назад +4

      Yes because she'll have to qualify to trials. She would probably do at least Classic and nationals next year if she's serious.

    • @kiraalldredge48
      @kiraalldredge48 Год назад

      The way qualifications work this quad is you have to compete at least two events at classics and receive a minimum score of 13.2 average for two events and a 50.5 (I think) for the all around to qualify to nationals. (If you only compete two events at classics you have to petition to compete the all around). Then you have to qualify to trials with even better scores than that. The world's team from 2023 this year will qualify automatically to nationals in 2024.
