I’m very hyped for the 1.5s. I have zero complaints about the 1.0s, although I do have hyper vs for bench so I think having one pair of shoes for all three lifts will be nice. Plus I really like the new look. Probably just end up using the 1.0s for daily drivers.
hoping they actually restock a reasonable amount. these look promising but im not gonna hold out for this company anymore after what they did last time
@@johnmh9264 my guess is he feels like it was a personal attack against him that on the company’s first release of shoes ever, they didn’t have enough inventory for every single person that wanted them. I think he is probably right.
@@BrazosValleyStrength I obviously don't feel like it was a personal attack and perhaps my phrasing was a bit strong, but basically they ran out in about 10 minutes. I know its a new company but that definitely didn't give me much hope. Regardless I'm gonna try to get these today because they look awesome.
I’m glad you are willing to try again. But I do hear that as a criticism of Avancus a lot and I just don’t understand it. Like they are deliberately selling less than they could be somehow benefits them. I promise they are doing everything they can to stock as many as possible but demand has been incredibly high.
Hey I know this is not the video for it but since it's your latest one: When I'm hinging I have to choose between feeling my glutes or hamstrings, I feel like when I focus on the hamstrings there's a point I no longer feel the glutes, but focusing on the glutes "feels better" but I don't feel deep stretch in the hamstrings Is there any video you could suggest that you touch on it? I'm doing a rewatch on all your videos
You're probably right, is just that I hurt my lower back in the past with deadlifts and saw your videos on Hinge stating that people generally don't know what to feel, But thanks for the wake up call felt like Charlie from IASAP with texts and diagrams through the whole wall LOL!@@BrazosValleyStrength Thank you for answering I love the channel!
@@BrazosValleyStrength I did contakt them on email and facebook but no response need sizing help as wel I have us 10-10,5 in nike so 28-28,5 cm. It kinda have to be right the first time I live in sweden so sending them back is not a option
Their sizing seems to be a bit off, mine fit like clown shoes. Wear a 10.5 Romaleos so I ordered a 10-10.5 Avancus and they are 1 or 2 sizes too big. Apparently they don't refund initial shipping or return shipping, so be warned. They really need an actual inch/cm size chart.
For what it’s worth, I recommend sizing a half size down in my original review of the shoe. It also could be that many of the shoes you tend to wear are more narrow, making a wider shoe feel a lot bigger. I wear 11 in Nikes and 10-10.5 is perfect for me in these.
@BrazosValleyStrength it's definitely a length issue and not a width issue. Romaleos are pretty wide themselves. Didn't mention it, but all my running shoes are 10.5 as well. Usually can't squeeze into 10's in any shoe, so I was already concerned with the size being listed as 10-10.5 since it seemed like potentially a half size down. Wish I would have caught your recommendation on sizing down. Kinda expected a lifting shoe to be designed to fit snug even if the toe box is widened like these or Olympic lifting shoes.
They are still very much in business. They just sell through inventory very quickly. So if you want a pair I would highly recommend following them, or me, for launch announcements because they always sell through in a couple of hours.
Hey Dave, thanks again for posting your programs as always! For the recent 5-day splits you've been running, is that 5 days straight or with a rest day in-between?
My only complaints so far are that I do wish they had half sizes as I feel like my toe is probably too close to the end with the 11-11.5 size, but I worry I'd be swimming in the 12-12.5 size and the laces are already so so long They'd probably be on the ground with another full size up. I feel like my foot slides forward a bit with activity after I've already tied them tight (and maybe that's part of the length issue, or feeling like even my wide feet shift back in forth in them at times) but IDK if that's just because I'm failing at lacing/tying my shoe or something? They do what they promised though: I feel like the rubber soles are glued in place when I used those to bench or deadlift. The same for squats when I used them for two blocks. The problem I was encountering with squats was the soles wouldn't budge but my foot could slide within the shoe into the outer side wall, similar to how my foot could slide forward a bit during bench when using leg drive. I tried re-tightening the laces from the bottom up in my last deadlift session and it seemed to help with the 'foot sliding inside the shoe while the shoe stays in place' issue but I'll have to see how it holds up. I still stopped using them for squats though; my foot felt flat and fairly stable and all, but it felt super unsupported and I've found I like feeling a snugger supportive feeling around my mid foot/arch when squatting so I'm back in Metcon 6s, which are a little tight in the toe-box but are grippy as shit even on polished wood and always feel snug/supportive. (though I'm considering buying some TYR cross trainers when I replace them). Other than that, the white fabric material picks ups dirt, smudges, and scuffs *extremely* quickly, but I feel like that's a "you knew the risks" aspect of buying a white colorway. The sizing tags have already fallen off the inside of the shoe's tongues, which doesn't seem like a great sign, but doesn't matter for performance.
They look like they might be the best powerlifting shoe on the market but the site always seems to be password protected so it seems difficult to actually get a hold of them.

I like the non-colored logo on these new ones. Looks cleaner IMO
I agree
Honestly have no complaints about the V1, but the red color looks fireeee
I wish it was available for the V1
used your code, thanks for putting me on
Thank you!
Have an alarm tomorrow to buy, been waiting for a long time! Great reminder to use your code tomorrow
Please restock the size 41 in black
Thanks for the video and the discount code definitely going for the red ones
Thanks for the review, wanted the all black but my size sold out so had to settle for all white 😁
The all whites will likely be my main one! Those and the red. I think they look great.
I will let you know as soon as mine arrive. I tried getting my hands on the 1.0s since they were released, but those sold like hot cakes....
Just ordered whew!
Did ur order got cancelled?
no, did yours?@@instaXnct
Serious Player One+ insoles that are midsoles out, r1 basketball shoe rn. Has better traction. Has laces all the way.
I don’t understand what this means at all

Yea I think we really want to learn what to feel at first and have a good concept of the movement, but at a certain point, we gotta just move.

The next two or three weeks.

@jonphillips2514 yea I don’t like the guesswork with any new brand of shoes. I seem to get it wrong every time myself.
Did they go out of business? Nothing on there social media, out of stock what gives ?

The site is locked before launches. The site is only locked when they don’t have inventory available.
What’s the expected price for these shoes? The all whites and red color ways r hard
I’m expecting $99
Hello! Thanks for the great video!
I’m definitely wanting to try the shoes.
For the Benchpress, would you recommend taking insoles off?
You should always remove the insoles, but it matters the least on bench.
