    The Notorious Lift Radix is the latest barefoot shoe on the scene designed for recreational lifting and powerifting.
    After reviewing models like the 1HUND Aerolux Barefoot, which is a shoe in a similar performance vertical, I was excited to put the Radix to the test and compare them to other barefoot shoes built for powerlifters/lifters. These almost remind me of a brainchild between the Apex Power and Aerolux.
    In my Notorious Lift Radix first impressions video, I'll cover some first thoughts on this shoe, sizing tips, and compare them to the Aerolux.

    3:48 Sizing Advice
    4:24 Radix vs 1HUND Aerolux
    8:04 Final Thoughts
    Honestly, for $100, the Notorious Lift Radix has been a pretty strong shoe for my first workouts and days wearing them.
    Is it going to be the best barefoot shoe for training and dressing up? Not necessarily, but they can hold their own pretty dang well for what it's worth. Plus, their super minimalist feel will be a hit for some.
    My full review will come out in the next few weeks, but if you have questions in the meantime, drop a comment below or reach out via Instagram!

      Following. I have the Tolos 2.0 and mostly love them but find the grip lacking at times, which is crucial for heavy weight lifting, particularly on an incline bench.

    • @thatfitfriend
      @thatfitfriend  4 месяца назад +1

      In the gym, if you're a powerlifter or rec lifter who is needing grip as the MAIN factor for your performance, then the Radix deliver.
      They bite a smidge more than the Tolos for bench and on turf, imo!
      Tolos are awesome for tugs/leg days and for casual wear. Rocked the Radix out this weekend and they looked good with jeans, too!
      and thank you!

    Bought the Tolos Archetype 2.0 a couple months ago on your rec and it has been mostly great. I love the flexibility, lightness, and snug fit, but the one problem I have is when on an incline bench my feet slip and I slide down the bench. So, i either have to brace my feet against the bench or risk arching my back and sliding a bit with each rep. I even have a rubberized mat underneath the bench but the Tolos fail every time.
    I need something with the flexibility I love for calf raises but won't have me sliding with heavy weight on inclines. Are these the answer or is something else perhaps more ideal?
    Thanks! Your videos are phenomenal.

      These or the AVANCUS APEX Power would be my two suggestions in this context!

    I use Hoka Mach 5s for my running shoes, but I'm looking into another pair of shoes to take with me for compound exercises that ideally cover all bases (squat/deadlift/bench) and saw the Radix's. Would you recommend them as good all-rounders?

    • @thatfitfriend
      @thatfitfriend  4 месяца назад

    How would this two compare to something like the New Tolos or Avancus for lifting?considering that the price between this models are all pretty similar

    • @thatfitfriend
      @thatfitfriend  4 месяца назад +4

      All great - but here's how I view each.
      Tolos - if you need something that you can dress up AND train in
      Notorious - if you want a lifting-optimized shoe but like to cross-train, too, and wear for some casual use
      AVANCUS - pure lifting focused individuals/powerlifters, not the best for casual use/cross-training, imo

    Are these decent looking mate? I am size 12uk and I am trying to find some barefoots that I can wear out and about that don’t look like clowny shoes. Do you think these will be a good option? Any other recommendations?

      I think so! I wore them out to the bar the other night with the lads and I didn't feel out of place. These or Tolos would be my suggestions

    I saw someone in the gym with these and they looked cool in all white. Would you suggest these over the primus lite 3? They look possible more durable, and they have more grip. Also... if you wear a 10 in primus all weathers and they fit perfectly with little room left infront of the toes..... what size would be best in the radix?

    • @thatfitfriend
      @thatfitfriend  2 дня назад +1

      I'd go 10.5 in these to play it safe - Worth a try, imo!
      They're solid for lifting and the outsole has help up pretty well even though I've played pickleball a bunch in them

      I do not believe they’re worth the price tag on them though.
