Hi Jake, the avancus v2 is coming out tomorrow. In regards to sizing, I have a E size foot (wide) and have a foot thar measures exactly at 25cm (us 8). I recently bought the new notorius lift radix at at size of eu 40 (25cm) and found them to be short as my toe was squashed by the end of the shoe even with in soles taken out so I gave them away. I want to get a pair of avancus tomorrow but am struggling to decide whether to get another size eu 40 (25.2cm) because i heard they run long or size eu 41 (25.9cm) because of the size reccomendation. I always take in soles off to feel the ground better. What do you think I should pick? Thank you 😁
I wear a 10-10.5 depending on sneaker brand ie 10 in hokas and 10.5 new balance and asics and got their 10-10.5 (44) and they fit like a glove with the insole. To me they fit very true to size for american size, but based on eu size theyre a size small.
Yeah, the Radix run short, I just commented on that in my first impressions and in a Short. Those are def a shoe to size up a .5-1 full size in. For the Apex Power, I think you'd be fine with either option, imo. I have a bunch of room at the end of my pair, which I'm hit or miss on. That said, think you're safe with either option, but since you like taking the insole out the 40 likely wouldn't feel snug for you; however, if you want more space to be safe going with a 41 wouldn't be a bad call, imo! Think you're fine either war and I'd go based on your fit preferences.
Can I wear them for Olympic lifts. I need to find a shoe that works for wide slash flat feet . I get alot of arch pain and actual weightlifting shoes hurts my feet.
@@thatfitfriend The 1.0s didn’t suit me well. Even going a half size up. I may want to give the 2.0s a shot or hopefully the highs Woolson wears will come out soon!
I just can't with those mid shin pause pulls haha. great review and it seems to be a pretty good shoe! gents, please comment here to help my dude with the algo!
Hey Jake, I am deciding on these (Avancus 1.5 or upcoming V2), Tolos 2.0, or the Notorious Lift Radix? I mainly do powerlifting and bodybuilding, so this would be a dedicated shoe - main problem is that the Avancus are sold out right now. Any suggestions for a good generalist shoe as well? I saw you mentioned that there are better generalist options and wondering what you recommend. Looks and breathability are important to me. Thanks!
@@thatfitfriend I love the Avancus V2, wow. Makes me realize how narrow the toe boxes are on a majority of my shoes, or just how wide my feet are. Lol.
Whatever you prefer, tbh! If your gym isn't down with socks then these, but otherwise, it's whatever you like tuggin' in. I wouldn't overthink it unless you're having slip issues in socks or your gym is yelling at you.
Been waiting on this review!!!
Ayy let’s go!!
Can't wait for the 2.0s launching next week... 😁
Yeeeeet!
Can we please take all the minimalist/barefoot momentum to get new balance to rewind to the first few minimus models
Yesssss! That would be freaking sick

@thatfitfriend okay, thank you! i reached to avancus and recommended eu 41 so hopefully it works out!

Yep! I rock these, Tolos Arch 2, and Motus Strength for cleans often.
How do these fit compared to first model? Have you tried the 2.0s yet?
I have! Similar(ish) fit. Will have more details soon in a video with a visual comparison

Price aside are you choosing these or the vivo motus strengths?
How do you train? If it’s at all with a versatile bias, I’d go Motus!

They’ll keep you honest…that’s for sure 😂
Thank you, dood!!
Can you please review flux adapt trainer for us?
I have! It's on the channel :)
I should do an updated video, tbh

In that case, I'd go Tolos 2 or the 1HUND Aerolux. They're both sick and walk that generalist line really well.
@@thatfitfriend The 1HUND's look great, I appreciate the help! I probably will grab those and the Avancus V2!

@@kageofspades prob a blend of both 😂 stoked you like em!
How do you rate them for squats?
They're great! Grippy and wide
These or barefoot socks for conventional deadlifts ?

Is tyr barefoot shoe a good everything type of shoe?
It can be, I just don’t dig the straps for casual use/running but that’s a personal preference thing!
