The Suntour suspension seatpost ($80) with the standard spring works just fine for me and I'm much taller and heavier than you at 6'6'' 245. I have it set to the max setting. Don't believe the marketing, it handles well over what is advertised. It does NOT compress at all when I sit on it. Only when I hit bumps. I ride the RAD Expand 5 folding bike with 20" tires. Also, just FYI, you kept saying "Electric seatpost" but the brand name is "Lectric".
Very helpful videos as I am 6'2", and the Lectric comfy package seatpost did not work for me. I did order the Kinkekt and am excited that it should work well for my height, thank you
It looks like when you sit on the seat the spring bottoms out. Have adjusted it where it doesn’t bottom out? Would you recommend getting the 200-240 Ibs for someone at 185 lbs. Are you still happy with it? I’ve got the Lectric suspension seat post but my lower back aches from riding hoping this would resolve that issue.
I need to to tighten it a bit as it does bounce an inch or so when i sit on it, still very happy with. I guess just stick with your weight range, assume they just put on slightly different spring as you go up in weight class
@@ChrisCrossed thanks Chris. Guess their website says add 20 lbs to the range they list if you are purchasing an ebike. Good thing is if whatever you choose doesn’t workout you can return it.

This suspension is a problem for those vertically challenged and elder like myself, once you get on the saddle it drops, thus messing up the correct knee extension when you are riding. I suppose when you're younger and taller, you can just raise up the post even more, but that would create an issue for me when I mount or dismount.
just bought one of these but the seatpost i bought as a replacement is only 350mm. Way too short for me at 6'1 and 280. Any other options out there? How are you liking this one?
Many of these after market posts have short stems, you have to hunt around and see if the offer longer options. See also RedShift, Thudbuster or Suntour
@@ChrisCrossed Suntour is the only one that gets close really with a 400mm. I might have to try it. I just sent back their 350mm one. The Kinect is definitely the closest at 420mm but $250 is nuts
Been thinking about the Kinekt seat post. I'm 202lbs and probably get the 150-200lb post. Wondering if it can be put on with the springs forward to get the seat a couple inches more toward the handle bars?
These type seat posts are designed to move inline with the motion of the bike when it hits a bump. It doesn’t move vertically but in an arcing motion. Turning the post 180 deg will totally ruin the function of the post as it will be moving with the bike not opposite.
I'm seeing some options that have similar action for substantially less money tube length seems to be the difficult part so far.. I don't think a 350mm tube is really the right length I'm 5'10" and have the XP step through 2.0 .. I suppose sending things back to bezos isn't hard if it doesn't fit
Chris on your Kinekt seat post how many inches from the minimum insertion mark on the Kinekt tube to the bottom of tube. Will you be doing a follow up video on this product?

Hi, Permitex makes a product called Loc Tite. Comes in a tube. A drop on the threads will stop that. Get the Blue.
Excellent seat post. Great info!🚴
Use a socket extension for the Lectric seat post.
You beat me to it . Your correct a 1/2 extension will solve his problem..

Yeah I tried the Lectric post but it sucked the Kinekt is awesome.
@@ChrisCrossed it doesn't have any past 250lb and I'm 300
The Electric seat post is actually 31.8 diameter (which is a very odd size). Any issues with the Kinect 31.6 post coming loose ?
No works great

Yeah ive already raised it once but just an inch, being tall helps with dismounting.
Zoom makes a "Dropper post. I use one on my MTB ebike. There fantastic.

great video...I'm 6'4" will this give me enough leg extension
without being cramped?
What do you recommend I get as this was 2 years ago do you think I should get this seat post

Yes the seat can be moved forward on the rails a few inches

Does it get in the way of a rear bike rack?
No just need to position it to your liking

Nah, you can easily adjust the firmness to your liking
