Did you experience the power delay or the feeling of cylinders failing that has plaqued the 1.5 TSI? I own a VW Gold 1.5 Highline DSG7 ACT EVO (sic) and the drivetrain is just rubbish and I'm returning the vehicle before the end of the lease.
Many thanks Brian great video. Special thanks to Autogefuhl, for continuing showing normal, every day cars. Much appreciated.

Thanks Brian! I like this car, not all the small SUVs/crossovers have so much room inside a all these “clever features”. It also seems to have a better build quality and a better styling than the VW T-Cross.
Great fun review of a great little crossover. Agree with Brian on the Yeti comparison and current crazy 35k price for higher spec models - a high spec big engined Yeti with 4x4 was only 25k. 35k is BMW X1 money!
Just ordered this model, but in the Race Blue colour. What sold it for me was how comfortable the sport seats are. I am 181cm and also have a long torso and shorter legs in comparison. My better 1/2 is 165, and she also loves how the seats feel.

Great review. Thank you very much for all the work you've done!
🙏
great review Brian, and someone has to represent us short legged drivers, we're not all long legged like Thomas! 👍 Several of my old Ford Focus's had door edge protectors, bargain for £80 option, and i agree every car should have one (that and a small umbrella slot!)
Very good and detailed review; thank you
Павел Бажнёв yes I agree and the price for top of the range is absurd.if one wits for a 4wheel drive version that would presumably put the price up over 30,000 pounds.
Very enjoyable review. Thank you.
Thanks a lot for the review! I enjoyed it! It was nice to see real usage of fuel (on paper promised around 5-6l per 100km, but practically consuming 8)
Best review I’ve heard in a long time
cheers !
Thanks!... Very good and useful review! ...
come on, don't treat yourself like that, buddy! We love you even if you've got short legs. 😂 nice review though! 👌
😎👍
@@autogefuehl screen gesture control freezing, is not a good look.
Hear, hear... Brian is too hard on himself! Great reviews!! 👍🏻
Very good and useful review! 👌
appreciated !
Great review, I would like to see You more often here...
So would i
Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.
Great review!
Thanks Steve! Feel free to spread the word
Brian, your the best!
Highly appreciated! Please recommend our channel 😎
Do we have a 2023 verion of it reviewed or this is still the latest available? I am about to buy it in Blue, with black
Brilliant review!
🙏
@@autogefuehl Did you experience the power delay or the feeling of cylinders failing that has plaqued the 1.5 TSI? I own a VW Gold 1.5 Highline DSG7 ACT EVO (sic) and the drivetrain is just rubbish and I'm returning the vehicle before the end of the lease. Based on your review I would either pick the 1.0 3-cyl or try the diesel (which is also coming with the DSG).
Love Brian's pronounceation
Definitely the best looking VW group small SUV/crossover.
Beautiful and perfect with the 150hp and DSG.
Very good review and spot-on verdict IMHO. I really like the Kamiq but it's really a joke how much difference there is even between a 115 HP Style with DSG and a fully specced 150HP varaint such as the one in the video. Since this car screams 'reason' any way you look at it I think the 115 HP version is the one to go for, Diesel or petrol.
Honourable mention to Connie the camera man, he knows when to do a close up, good work
🙏🙏
'Praktish, Quadratish, Gut' - great review, great car -wish I could afford it :-/
Odlična prezentacija
Thank You.
Hi! Do you know the weight of the Kamiq in this configuration 1.5 tsi dsg? Thanks
1270 1280 kilograms i think
How much tyre noise?
Very professional.
thanks keep tuning in !
Great car !
I drove the 1.5 DSG Scala for about 1200kms. I found the motor and DSG to be brilliant, indeed. Brakes also very good. But the steering was way to light for me. Almost nerve wrecking light. What did you think of it with the Kamiq? PS. I (also) think the normal mode is much better than the sport mode.
Found an answer to the steering question? Overly light steerings are really annoying, wish he talked about it.
did they fix this 1.5tsi issue or still happening? i think it was kangooroo effect or something like it
SW update heped a little but didn't solve problem for 100%, other said. I don't buy it because of that.
Heeeelp!
Somebody help me!
This guys are using the galtning review machine gun and it is impossible to follow up on this speed 😂😎
😂
AC-knobs, GOOD! No volume button? BOO. I still miss the old seat heater dials with 5 positions.

a fuel consumption of 8.6 liters while driving conservatively is way too much, at least a liter more than the competition (compared with your own reviews of that competition). Can you explain me why you said it was reasonable (I mean, did the driving circumstances warrant that excess fuel consumption)? Of course there's nothing wrong with driving a Skoda, but if the buying price is the same as other more premium brands and the running cost is more (or even the same) as the others, the Skoda badge doesn't seem that interesting to me. Face it, Skoda is supposed to be the 'cheap' VW. For example, if Dacia would get a better build quality and better materials, would anyone pay the same for a Dacia as they would for a comparable Renault? And Renault is far from a premium brand, but neither is Skoda for that matter.
Does the sunroof open? Thank you.
no
Santa Fe DRL
I guess black will suit all the scenarios..
No Sport Mode needed for this Kind of car... No one will use it like this. The Control for the Fans is terrible. and the Price.......... omg... you can get a Hyundai Tucson or Kia Sportage almost full equiped with an strong Diesel Engine for the same Price. Reimport Dealerships give you an full equiped Seat Taracco, Skoda Kodiak or VW Tiguan Allspace for the same amount of money. Nice Video as always , thank you Brian and Camera Mann 😎
👌
The gesture and responsiveness of the infotainment from 16:40 onwards is not really convincing. The gestures seems awfull and the touchscreen seems delayed and slow.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I was mostly pissed when Brian wasnt using automatic wipers and every few seconds clicking them to wipe. Its 1 step up from neutral to turn those on.
As for climate, I have for 25 000km Octavia 3 FL with Climatronic and have used exactly ZERO times fan speed rotary controler. Its pointless in auto climates. Only front/rear defrost, heated/cooled seats, temperature, off button and myb recirculation button is needed. Everything else is redundant in auto climate.
...and I have Golf V with climatronic and I use the fan speed rotary very often, surprised?
Not everybody want's to have AC still ON. Or just to decide the quantity of air flow.
I would say if you live in or regularly travel to hilly places and even mountains, get the bigger engine. Regarding the bella and whistles, i really hate the fact you can double the price of any car now if you tick the right boxes. That’s why I would stay away from the virtual cockpit, sport suspension, electric tailgate, panoramic sunroof ect. Because those extras cost so much extra money and give you no functionality whatsoever in return that it simply makes no sense. People will be buying this car for its practicallity and affordable price not for its luxury features. Also, in 5-10 years a poorly equipt and maxed out car will (nearly) cost the same...
8L per 100km is not a good fuel economy.
this color doesnt match this car, it matches scala perfectly
INDICATORES
Scoda comic 😂
iam3mondoot muhahaha! Good one
its would be briliant with an AWD... edit: OMG 38 000eur?
So right
Aaaand we have a new generation Multipla!
Citroen c4 picasso.
Those highlights always looks like C4 cactus and Picasso. It seems same with Hyundai Kona. But it is ok, skoda done a great job with this car but those consumption (8lt/100km) and price is a bit much.
I am no eco warrior, far from it, but do people realise that SUV s and crossovers belch out in excess of 700 mega tonnes of CO2each year. More than flights and ships combined ! I doubt ,for 99% of owners ,this car will do any more than the Octavia would do .
A Kamiq is not that different from a Scala.
hahahahahahah
Awful color, much nicer in other colors. Great review.
This colour should be called, snot green discharge.... Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. At least it's Christmasy and your legs are Elf sized to stay in the same spirit. ;P ok I owe you a Canadian beer Brian for that last comment...
(Camera geek correction: The flicker is the camera shutter syncing up with the refresh rate of the screen. You can fix it by changing shutter angle or camera speed. We do this all of the time in the film industry.)
Great review with realistic advice. What's not to like?
Thanks pal! Sometimes those screens resist everything...
Excellent review but Skoda cars are boring and ballless junk.
Rubbish
That s a simple car. It has ugly front design and I dont buy it.
ferrrini enjoy your aston martin zagato then
Yeah you are so joyfull boy!! I drive facelift Seat Leon and I love it.
This is the most overpriced Skoda to date.
Sooooooo uglyyyy. They make such a nice octavia and superb, and then this..
