This tablet interior shit started with 2004 audi a8 and is still here today with us. Also to add, there is no microfibre lining inside doorbins so there will be rattle in doors

6.9 on highway is way too high. I have a 1.4 dsg on my golf and it gives around 5 to 5.5 on highways. Btw how do you compare the suspension and driving manners compared to a golf comfortline.

I had the chance to test this car, good good, but some stupid things (air direction only selectable from touchscreen e.x.) and the driving's unnatural feelings does not makes me buy this, but in general very good, so big spaces, and not that much bad interior quality
The Ford focus has upped it's game, I wonder how it compares in quality, economy, safety, technology and practicality? Without the skoda badge I would have guessed that this was an audi.
I dont understand the Type C connectors. Phones don't come with C connectors on both ends of their charging cables. They came with A on the other end. If you wanted to charge via the Type C ports in the car, you'd need to buy another cable.
Seems a huge leap forward over the previous Rapid model, both in looks and ride quality. Let us hope in the UK that it is sensibly priced - the Rapid was more expensive than the Octavia in most equivalent models, which was crazy and bound to end in failure
In the back it doesn't seems bigger than Golf at all. Headroom seems really limited on the sides - he is 170cm, so I with 186cm would have had problem. Also legroom wise not really good. I don't think it's bigger than Golf for passengers.
Definitely a very good offer by value, functionality and looks, but on the other hand when I look at interior it's not difficult to recognize even Golf IV... And interior is where you always are in and see it. It spoils me the impression the most in this car. That's why new Mazdas are my probably the most favorable cars now. Anyway, lets wait for ne Golf...

@@ThePANDA1885 my first test drive of Scala back in 2019 was 1.0 tsi with manual gearbox and I love it (driving at that moment Fabia 1.2 tsi DSG). So last year my pick was 4cyl, 1.5 tsi for many reasons....better engine sound, much more power and better "marriage" with DSG. Right now I am testing brand new bi-colour orange Fabia 1.0 tsi DSG, and I must say, 1.5 is much better engine.
there is basically no real world difference in consumption between the 1.0 and 1.5. if you can get a good offer on the 1.5 (insurance is more expensive though) i would always gravitate towards that. the 1.0 is quick enough for basically anything but the 1.5 feels much more grown up. and if you want DSG i would always get the 1.5 cause the 1.0 can feel strained (often downshifting on highway inclines etc.).
Can it display Apple map on virtual cockpit or at least its turn directions? The new RenaultClio can do Apple turn directions....so i’ve heard a rumour....
Great camera wrk but some odd engaging being used. Tomas, we miss you in from of the camera. Another VAG white goods but in bae spec would make sense for a load lugger or family holdall.
Had a Octavia 12 years ago.The quality in the end was not what the eyes first perceived.Skoda are good at making a good feeling of quality.Mine was all but....after a half year the catalyst had to be replaced.On warranty thank God.Two years after...I had to replace all the spark plugs. A year later the AC broke.Then it started to rust and I had enough.So no more Skoda for me anymore.
Have 12 year old skoda , never had any problems, also have 2 year old octavia ... also no problems whatsoever. But these cars along with vw and Audi's you buy only diesel , do regular maintenance and it will last long... buy only 2.0 or 1.6 tdi... The old 1.9 was a workhorse!
Why only green and blue car in every review? I know that there were black, gray, white and silver metalic and one braun car and we can not see that "in live"!!!
We dont just have blue and green cars. However depending on the occasion u gotta pick one car, and its about engine, color and interior or sometimes just coincidence
The entry price for a Golf is lower. But when u spec the cars, the Scala is a couple of thousand cheaper. So it is like they intended: Polo platform, more space than the Golf, but cheaper than the Golf
@@autogefuehl ok but with Scala is the same thing.. nobody get the basic model so when it is spec on higher close to top optional than is better to have a mid spec Golf.. anyway many who are interested should wait a bit in my opinion at least up until next year since Volkswagen will switch soon to the Golf 9th generation.. ;0)

It needs roof bars to look right and the slope of the roof seems to be a feature to add some style..not necessary. A level roof = more room inside.
My personal choice is Brian, but AJ does it quite well 8)

@@amsteensberg1653 Nope, no issues as yet. On the SE-L trim model’s, the front seats have an adjustable lumbar support so that may help.

Practicality means a little boxy designs. Majority will opt for it rather than flashy designs with horrible interior space. They have to sell right?
Maybe I am getting older, but I was waiting this model, it is practial, and spacious, and IMO, looks fresh (with a 0,29 Cw). 'bit expensive though.

I did use the configurator and configured Scala and Golf quite high, Scala was about 2 k cheaper. I guess thats also the strategy
