I think he did a great thing this is the second Latino musical pretty much since West side story that's a big deal and instead of enjoying it people are complaining. What good is complaining going to do it's like when a different country has a problem and somebody makes a Facebook post about it they don't donate they don't rally they don't create they Don't really contribute to try to fix the issue because it's easy to complain isn't it? So, I didn't know Daphne and so I read up on her and she appears to be a Broadway person but I'd never come across her. I thought Daphne's voice was not that great. I know they don't always choose the Broadway belter for the movies but I really wanted ANDREA BURNS to play Daniela. She was my favourite character in the musical -- I thought she had a much stronger voice and the comedic timing and the sassiness I am not sure why they chose Daphne over Andrea.

i was sad to not see a colombian or peruvian flag, but i felt the support and love to all of us man 🙌loved it
I grew up with majority Hispanics as my best friends and they treat me like family so I relate to a lot of these songs. Also we have like similar cultures that I can also relate to :)
@@PaeloWhatsNext me as well, i love ith sm for that reason, like the support just feels there like it’s all just a huge party ☺️
They did have a section in this with cali colombians dancing cali salsa and the colombian flag was flying in the back ♥️
I love that you're a fan! You already knew all the lyrics hahaha
Thank you!! I love In The Heights lol
So glad to see the Peruvian flag 😭❤️
alza la bandera!
If I recall, Usnavi and Vanessa end up married and one of the kids turns out to be his daughter!
It's supposed to be a happy song......but i cried every time i heard it.
SAAAMMEE!!!
let me know when you're done watching In The Heights as I found a video that u might wanna watch,I'm down to recommend it to you after you watch it though
Recommend away! I love finding new videos everyday!
@@PaeloWhatsNext K, you should react to *TOP 50 HAMILTON Easter Eggs & Sizzling Details From IN THE HEIGHTS!* by the channel Flicks And The City but after you watch In The Heights as I'm pretty sure it includes spoilers
in the movie nobody knew that abuella won the lotto, usnavi only found out on moving day(I think)
I liked the movie. we watched it one day.
They did change it a bit and shortened the song in some parts I think it’s cuz they only had one day to shoot that scene and they hadn’t found out that abuela claudia won the lottery
The way you react to all of the songs it seems like you have seen this already I don’t know if I’m tripping but it’s just like your giving away that you have seen it if you have
Well he's most likely already seen the musical so it makes sense that he knows what's going on lol
@@moonchild9578 I mean ok maybe I’m tripping but if it was so obvious idk why he is crying to all this songs as if it’s that deep but whatever
@@l.t.kjupiterrr6771 it is deep though. A song about minorities being powerful in a place where they're being kicked out of their homes and being seen as less than? This whole song and movie is about that and maybe its not deep to you but it is to others. Especially to those who can relate.
Yea like what moonchild said, I already saw the stage production years ago. There isn't a lot of differences from the movie and musical
Amen to that moonchild!
Coquito is like puertorican eggnog
Oooh thank you for the fun fact!
Aaa I wish we could see ur movie reaction !!
A lot of people have been asking too so maybe I can do something about that ❤️ :)
can you share the link of the music video 🙃
im so sad media is giving lin a hard time over this movie. he tried to do a good thing and the movie was great but people are so woke all they can do is find reasons to pout. glad people in the comments section here liked in the heights.
@@maddiefisher287 I'm adopted and disabled so it's not like I don't understand at all but thanks for assuming that I have no hardships in my life or something. He did a great thing and people are complaining he didn't do enough. Would the world rather he didn't make anything? If people want more representation they are welcome to create. I think it beats the hell out of whining. Making it a racial issue with me I don't think so.
@@maddiefisher287 it's just like people whining about friends being all white or game of thrones being predominantly white a lot of good whining is going to do. They made him feel bad for Hamilton too I fucking love Hamilton. Is he just supposed to check off all the boxes all the time?
@@maddiefisher287 my roommate is from Trinidad and she is black and I hear about what she goes through everyday so acting like I don't understand is inaccurate. People are going to whine until he stops making things because he can't possibly check all the boxes. Everything needs to be woke and super duper inclusive. I might not have to deal with racism but people act like I'm less than human because I walk differently so tell me I don't get it
@@maddiefisher287 okay faceless person online it's just like the Tom Hanks thing he has supported lgbtq and various charities but people are acting like he didn't do enough if there had been afro-latino representation and in the heights they would figure out something else to zone in on that he didn't do right it takes away from all the work he did. I think lin did the best he could and he is probably going to be burnt out catering to everyone in the future.
@@maddiefisher287 it's just always like this I mean I'm half Irish and Irish were slaves am I supposed to whine that Irish people weren't front and center? People are going to burn out a good man for doing a good thing because everyone is always going to find a reason to dislike something he does
wait i haven't seen the original or this movie, where did abuela go?
I suggest watching it :) don't want to spoil a great movie
Where can I watch the video for Carnval Del Barrio?
Unfortunately only either in Theaters or HBO Max for now!
In the movie theater?
Carnaval Del Barrio
So, I didn't know Daphne and so I read up on her and she appears to be a Broadway person but I'd never come across her. I thought Daphne's voice was not that great. I know they don't always choose the Broadway belter for the movies but I really wanted ANDREA BURNS to play Daniela. She was my favourite character in the musical -- I thought she had a much stronger voice and the comedic timing and the sassiness I am not sure why they chose Daphne over Andrea.
Andrea Burns was amazing and I had to stop comparing myself. Yes Daphne was Mimi in Rent, but I got to liking her performance for the movie
Also some scenes, I hope they said it like Andrea Burns especially during the No Me Diga scene. That was one of my favorites in the stage production
I never understand why they had her pass away so early
drive the story faster
Sadly my flag isn’t in there
I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully you feel represented somehow :)
What's your flag?
God bless you Jesus loves you. We gotta repent and come to christ, believe on his name and what he did for you and accept him as your lord and savior. He is coming back soon so we gotta repent for the kingdom of God is at hand
Do you have to sing along though😒😒😒😒
Yes we all do! It's how you celebrate its ingenuity and uniqueness! We need to be heard!
Your singing along ruined the reaction. We don’t care about your bad voice. It was distracting to the max
