Not DJ scratchin. That's him wiping the guitar strings with his guitar pick. The strings have a texture, which makes that sound.
I'm kind of an old fk, but it's awesome seeing newer generations getting into Sublime. They were the voice of my teenage years.
I feel ya on that.
Sublime are so good! Love the reggae/ska beat. Please also do their song "Smoke Two Joints." R.I.P. Bradley Nowell
This is my favorite Sublime song! thank you for reacting to it!
Sublime gotta dope catalog, best ska/reggae/hip hop band ever ❤️
Unfortunately Bradley Noel died before sublime really blew up he is one of the most talented front man of all time heckuva boys his own style and he was also the lead guitar player for anyone that’s ever played music or sang or both you know how hard that is to play lead and be the lead singer that is a very short list lol like I don’t know five people I can think of
This is my favorite sublime song ever written
This and seed are my fav
@@Wellhelll yea seed is a really good one too I agree
Love Sublime! One of my favorite tracks ❤
It's Bradley style that scratchyness. He was their lead singer and guitarist Bradley Nowell grew up between SoCal and Jamaica with his daddy
All I'm saying this song is awesome🙌 cannot say it enough
This is an iteration of a song by the most notable Bob Marley, bunny wailer, and also a lesser known band called mighty diamonds the bunny wailer version is by far the best of the 3
Bradley was a very pure creative soul. He was always about experimenting different sounds that typical people wouldn't have even tried, and he made it work.
You should check out Robbin the hood album and challenge your ears and mind to what's all going on in that album lol. Be sure to listen to the whole album 😉
Creative but he sure took a lot of liberties when it came to borrowing, riffs, lyrics, sayings, grooves, song structure. I'm not talking about the sampling and by the way i like the band.
Just imagine what he would have done…..
@@anthonyv6962dude was literally at the very beginning of his career and trying to make some crazy punk/reggae/rap/ska fusion. Dude was absolutely a visionary when it comes to music being intersectional and beautiful
Just listen to all sublime songs there isn't a bad one... some of my favorites same in the end, what happened, and caress me down
I say this all the time I have listened to every song multiple times and they all slap.
I seriously haven’t found a bad one with Bradley
my favorite songs, Sick reaction!! its a Bob Marley and Wailers song!
Thanks 4 the sublime deep cut.
It was a remake of bob marley’s jailhouse … just Bradley’s version. He was dope way above his time. Rip
This joint has a nice feel to it...more my speed music wise.
New Edition- Mr Telephone Man (video)...
Sublime had a great rock/reggae/rap/ska sound. Check out Romeo and 5446 That’s My Number/Ball and Chain.
Sublime “April 26, 1992”
it was guitar scratches a la tom morello blud
Check out slow ride
Listen to the 1st song on the album 40oz to Freedom. Waiting for my Ruca, it's a dope track

brad nowell forever b
thats my fam got questions???
Yep, that’s DJ scratchin’…
You get lost in the guitar in this song, it is not the lyrics, it is that great guitar.
heroin makes for some great music but a shorter life YMMV
