Two of the members of Switch were the older brothers of Debarge. Tommy Debarge was the bass player and Bobby Debarge was the lead singer. Bobby's falsetto was probably higher than El's. A very talented, but addictive family.
I have to blame the ladies for that. They aren't built like the ladies of the 90s and all generations prior. As men, we are visual when it comes to having our minds blown by a woman, followed by their attitude at first meet. Basically, the ladies have been too accepting of trash-ass dudes without gentlemanly qualities. They have stooped to letting men trick their money on them for a few nights of clubbin', a few dinners out somewhere and getting high. A lotta dudes took that opening because they saw it didn't require sustained work, just money spent. The ladies lulled themselves to sleep by not making the men work for their time, affections and a future. That started the de-evolution of Black self-respect and love in the young.
