I've been 9 years doing van life. There aren't many places I haven't visited throughout Australia. Watching your videos, makes me regret not documenting many of the incredible places I've seen and experienced. My next journey will take me to Serbia then throughout Europe. My plan was to ship my 4×4 van to Asia just before this pandemic occurred and drive to Europe, but now I'm measuring out my possibilities. Nevertheless, it's a great lifestyle to explore the lands like this and I'm planning to continue this way on every continent. I might just start documenting soon. Great videos btw and happy travels aye !!!
Wow that sounds like it would have been an awesome trip from Australia through Asia to Europe, it sounds like our dream trip in reverse. Before pandemic we would have loved to do the same trip to Asia and then to Oz, but we all have to adjust our plans accordingly eh! I hope you do start documenting it, we would absolutely love to follow your adventures
Oh wow I bet that was freezing. But totally get why sometimes you just have to get into water when you haven't had access to a shower or just need a swim! The cold is bad, but it does feel so good afterwards. Some good laughs in this vid!!
For the second week in a row i have found myself opting to watch your Sunday videos before i watch other 'famous' vanlifers in Morocco who are also in my feed. Love the videos!!
6:00 Zlatibor=Goldenpine. Bor=pine from Proto-Indo-European bhor- (coniferous forest). Indo-European cognates include Proto-Germanic barwaz (coniferous forest; pinewood), Old Norse: borr (a kind of tree) Noun
I just love your accent, it sounds adorable! 🥰 Zlatobor actually gets its name from those pine trees and it means “golden pine”. For some reason I skip downhill just like you when I visit, there’s just something in the air that makes you wanna do that. 😅 I just don’t like how urbanized the mountain is getting, my grandma used to take me there every spring when I was a kid and it used to be mostly beautiful old wooden houses and kiosks and endless pats for hiking, but of course, because over the last decade or so it became very popular with both domestic and foreign tourists many new and big buildings have been erected, but what can you do, that’s a common thing in touristic places everywhere. I don’t know if you eat honey, but the pine honey that is sold at those kiosks is very good quality and is healthy, mostly for your lungs, but it’s tasty as well! 😋 I’m glad you enjoyed our country, I in turn enjoyed your video and will definitely check out more! 🥰
Thanks so much for watching, so glad you enjoyed the video. We loved Serbia a lot during our time there. Such kind welcoming people and beautiful nature. Never heard of pine honey, sounds yum!
Thanks for the beautiful video 🧡🧡🧡Oh I'm missed you two soooo much. I can't help but laugh when you are so silly 🤣 I feel so blooming cold just watching you pair of absolute nutters 🥶
Jeeezus I swim in the Sava, in Belgrade but that's summer til October, it must be baltic in there. Did you go on the golden gondola ? We spent Xmas there skiing.
omg looks stunning! that cave was sooo crazy and the market looked so pretty! I'm so jealous of your adventure :) Jake would have 100% gone in that water.. I wouldn't haha! Also Jake said you cooked the gnocchi wrong hahahahah :) He'll cook you it one day and change your mind about it :) Looking forward to seeing what you get up to in the next video :D
Awww thanks so much, Jake please give us some yum gnocchi, I am happy to be proven wrong haha. I've had it in fancy restaraunts too and still feel like it tastes like potato paste haha. When we all meet up we will be dragging you into the Water Beth!!!
Yes, those pools in Stopicha cave are natural, formed by minerals from the water, and up to 7 meters deep. During the summer there is a guide who waits for a group to form (not long, there are actually a lot of tourists, no additional fee) that he leads and explains everything to.
That would have been lovely to hear a guided tour, I am sure the guy at the ticket booth would have answered our questions, he was very friendly, but we are just too shy in person to ask things haha, we need to get better at talking to locals face to face ☺️☺️
@@phillyandkeely I've noticed it. :-) When in Serbia, don't be shy to talk or ask for advice from anyone. In cities, most people know English enough to direct you, and are very friendly.
That's a good question 😂 I mean we just assumed there were no deadly animals and the current wasn't too fast, but we are idiots and have nearly died in rivers before, so prob not best examples haha

You must've ordered so called "domestic coffee" in that cafe. It usually tastes horrible to all who are not used to it. More and more Serbs enjoy Italian coffees instead nowadays. Including myself, I've never liked the "domestic". If you say just "coffee" when ordering, you get it. Instead you should be specific which you'd like - espresso, capuccino, americano ...

@@phillyandkeely Exactly! Another thing. In Serbia you get all coffees without sugar. Sugar is found in small paper bags on the tables, brown and white, or, rarely, in a shaker. Your "domestic coffee" might've tasted slightly better if sweetened. Now I see that you even got turkish delights (in the transparent cellophane bags) with your coffee. That was properly served! The coffee shop is not to blame. You cannot expect to just go into a cafe, even nominally an Irish one, say coffee and get what you had on your mind. You're in a different country.
