This was one of my all time favourite adventures of yours. I mean how many other vanlifers do Japan in the middle of winter going as north as they can in all that snow AND then do the Australian outback in the height of summer when even us locals wouldn’t do that! 😂 I guess it’s one way of making sure you don’t have to deal with overcrowded places in the peak of tourist season and have plenty of time to yourselves! 😂 Philly and Keely “bringing the EXTREME to the vanlife scene”. Omg the hot chocolate section, i was worried about the curtains getting chocolate on them & then i thought the curtains where going to catch alight by the burner or the candles. Beautiful throw back in time & never had Japan on my goto list, but you guys have shown that there's so much more to see & the natural environment is just beautiful!

Philly & Keely finally reaching the furthest point of Northern Japan travelling through heavy snow, daily and finally reaching the Northern furthest point, to see the Japanese most northern point, to see, the sea....... It was very, very incredible Amazing achievement !!!!!!!!!! Travelling in, "Alen" the Japanese hired van, was just so brilliant. Glad you both enjoyed many exhilarating tranquil relaxing Japanese natural hot baths travelling along your winter travel adventure in winter wonderland magical beauty of Japan.
Thanks so much for posting this! I hadn't seen any of the Japan trip before and needed something good to watch. I finished my road trip out to California and back to Minnesota and am now trying to secure an apartment. A bit stressed, being homeless, but being entertained by Philly and Keely helps smooth the edges. You guys were brave going to Japan in winter and were amply rewarded! How fun to see the snow monkeys enjoying the hot springs. Glad you guys did too. Your wee camper Alen looked so cute and made a nice travel home. Just curious what it cost to rent? I wept for the spilled hot chocolate and laughed out loud at the semolina pancakes. But Keely, did Philly ever get that snowball in the back of the head? EMWTK... 😘
So glad you got to experience Japan with us, this is the exact reason we made a compilation as we knew lots of our Audience hadn't seen it and it is such a special country to us. Depending on size of van £50- £100 a day to rent, I think 3 weeks of Alen is like £2k but we've heard from others when they told Tokyo campers they found them through our channel they got a discount, so worth trying 😂😂

Seeing you cold in the van reminded us of our trip in NZ, with a little Toyota Camper ‘Happy Camper’. Freezing 🥶, until we spent 200 dollars on 2 sleeping bags 😂. Great movie! ATB
Japan has a ton of Conbini (Convinience stores) they sell ALOT of winter stuff, like hgeating pads, hand warmers, space heaters, and so on and so on. Japan aint good at having central heating in their houses (only in newer ones more or less) and as a result they have specific winter stuff for people to buy to keep warm at home thats made for small spaces :) It's good to know for later adventures
Love this video! You are so cute. This amount of snow is a normal Norwegian winter so if you should ever miss snow come to Norway december to april☺️. Japan is for sure a place on my list😍

Hey guys! The last time I was there was over 20yrs ago! My mom and I went there! Visited family in Okinawa and also on the mainland! I do miss seeing them! First time meeting my Japanese cousins as well and a few other Aunts and Uncles I never met or don’t remember since I was about 2yrs old when I saw them! I was 20something when we went back!
Would you consider going back again? Such an incredible place 🥰🥰 you could do a roadtrip to visit them all, Okinawa island has campervan rental company we think when we go back again next time we might do a wee trip on it ❤️ how special you have family there
@ I would love to go back again now with my mom but she’s not in good traveling shape! If I could win the lottery I would take her back in a heart beat to see her family one last time! She turned 90 last September and has a hard time getting around unless I help her!! Okinawa is like Hawaii in a way! If you go back go in April! We went I think the middle of April to avoid the typhoon season!
@ thanks I need all the prayers for that! That will definitely take care of everything for the trip! When we went back she said it was the last time she would fly that long! It’s a 20hr flight from where we are in the states! If I do do the flight again I would fly out to California have a layover for the day then fly out! It’s not as long then!
I so wish I had known you were coming to Japan. I could have given you a space to stop and chill in Osaka - with me and my cats and my rooftop garden. And a washing machine and kitchen! Next time please come and stay in Osaka with me.
Trent the Traveler will be going to Japan in February and the end of this year 2025 he'll be going to Iceland. Maybe you guys could join the iceland trip. I very much enjoyed watching this video. You should try Michigan, USA some winter. They can get up to 20 feet of snow.

Japan has a ton of Conbini (Convinience stores) they sell ALOT of winter stuff, like hgeating pads, hand warmers, space heaters, and so on and so on. Japan aint good at having central heating in their houses (only in newer ones more or less) and as a result they have specific winter stuff for people to buy to keep warm at home thats made for small spaces :) It's good to know for later adventures

Hey guys! The last time I was there was over 20yrs ago! My mom and I went there! Visited family in Okinawa and also on the mainland! I do miss seeing them! First time meeting my Japanese cousins as well and a few other Aunts and Uncles I never met or don’t remember since I was about 2yrs old when I saw them! I was 20something when we went back!
Would you consider going back again? Such an incredible place 🥰🥰 you could do a roadtrip to visit them all, Okinawa island has campervan rental company we think when we go back again next time we might do a wee trip on it ❤️ how special you have family there
@ I would love to go back again now with my mom but she’s not in good traveling shape! If I could win the lottery I would take her back in a heart beat to see her family one last time! She turned 90 last September and has a hard time getting around unless I help her!!
Okinawa is like Hawaii in a way! If you go back go in April! We went I think the middle of April to avoid the typhoon season!

@ thanks I need all the prayers for that! That will definitely take care of everything for the trip! When we went back she said it was the last time she would fly that long! It’s a 20hr flight from where we are in the states! If I do do the flight again I would fly out to California have a layover for the day then fly out! It’s not as long then!

Trent the Traveler will be going to Japan in February and the end of this year 2025 he'll be going to Iceland. Maybe you guys could join the iceland trip. I very much enjoyed watching this video. You should try Michigan, USA some winter. They can get up to 20 feet of snow.
