I am new to cycads and have a particular fondness for our Florida coontie, we now have 7 mature plants but I don't know if we have the specific beetle types that are the natural pollinators of these cycads so I will be using this technique to try to get fertile seeds to propagate this important historical plant.

I've read that you can freeze pollen to use elsewhere in some species. I don't know if it applies to all plants. They are just trying to make sure the female gets pollenated. So it doesn't matter if you inject once or everyday for the period. If you have the pollen you can try as many times as you can as long as the female is receptive
