    You are a great teacher. I have a 20yr old female Sago and had no idea I could do this, or maybe I've gotten older and slowed down long enough to pay attention. Thanks.

    I have a question. This is a totally different process than I have seen before and I have harvested about 70 of these from one of my Sago palms a few months ago. According to the other process, the red outer coating was not removed, but I see the results that you have and I love it! My question is, should I uproot those and rinse them and follow this process or discard them?

    Great Job... I like the part with the seedlings sprouting and explanation of when the foliage starts and of course where. I have Red Sealing wax in a Spaghnum Bag and I just noticed about 1/3 an inch of sprout from the seeds.
    Question... when should I put these sprouted seeds in Soil? Thanks for a wealth of knowledge here.

    4 out of 5 cycads seeds I have, germinated in just one month.
    To speed up the process, remove the hard shell from the seed before planting it.

      So after removing the hard shell did u soak it in water before putting it in the pot.

    • @danniolsen4965
      @danniolsen4965 3 года назад +1

      @@fashionsavvy611 I sowed them directly in the pots. I used cactus mix soil and I made sure to keep the temperature around 25 degrees celsius

    Greetings. I followed your videos and planted 160 seeds exactly your way. Only 30 had germinated after 5 months. 130 are still as they were since 11 months when I plant them same time. Need your advise how to grow the 130 non germinated seeds please?

    I am so glad I watched your videos! I was guessing how to propagate Sagos and I was doing everything wrong! I noticed in one of your videos that you cut all the fronds off a male plant. I was wondering why you did that and if it is something that needs to be done.

    Dear Marius, thank you for this very informative video. I picked up some different species cycad seeds from my local botanical garden. Am I right in assuming that there is nothing different in how you go about preparing and planting the seed for germination? Is there any season which is better? Cheers.

    Thanks for this info. We have a 6 foot Sago tree in the back yard and I just noticed today all the seeds buried down in close to the trunk. I must have 50-60 I would like to plant. I would only do it for profit but I'm not sure what they would be worth. Also you did not mention the step of soaking and pealing off the outer coat first.

    I have a small indoor Bonsai Cycas Revoluta (Sago Palm) with yellowing leaves. I water it one or two times a week. Its tray contains rocks, moss, bark-like wood chips and a little dirt. It is a quick drain tray with holes in the bottom. It gets partial sun via a bathroom window with direct sun for about 3 hours per day (from behind the window). How can i help it? Should i water it more? Should i put it outside? Should i give it plant food?

    Great video and thanks for doing so. My Sago just opened up with many seeds and I will use your method of soil mixture and I have one question. Can or should I use the little "greenhouse" type of container that has about 24 little pots in one container and has a clear plastic cover? Wal-Mart sells them for a few bucks and I don't know if the little seed pots are too small or not. I think they are called seed starters or something similar. Thanks,......Bob in central FL.
