I'm just constantly waiting for a braking zone and it's not arriving. Yeah it's fast. But fast is not always good.
But in this case it's good, because in the last decades the governors of the sport were obsessed with slow tracks, so now we have more variety.
@@mateagoston8145 yeah i feel like slow tracks are kinda better for racing... But still I'd like more balanced ones like Baku and Singapore
@@brm3175 What makes a track good for racing relays on many factors. Eg Bahrain's first couple of corners and Austin's section after the long backstraight are very good for racing and they mostly contain slow corners. But on the other hand Abu-Dhabi's slow corners came across as bad yet.

I just really hope that the walls are gonna be further from the track
I hope this track at least provides a watchable race. It is a sick track to do a lap around but in dirty air and with speeds like this...
I don't know about current-regulation cars, but next-gen Saudi Arabian GP should be one of the best races of the season.
Or, at least, that's what they're selling us...
Rights out and away we go here in Saudi Arabia!
I don't know why, but when the lap finished I was like...
"Is that it? Did they miss an entire section or something?"
I counted two overtaking opportunities, one into turn 1, the other into the final hairpin. Elevation changes are completely foreign. From turn 2 to the second last corner is a dirty-air nightmare. A scary fast circuit where any sort of incident would likely bring out an inevitable safety car, particularly hard on tires too. Fingers crossed they don't run this during the day as I would imagine it would destroy the tires extra quick.
I'm worried about this...
I felt that too.
Got to love how this track has 27 corners, yet only a quarter of them are actual braking zones.
Those signs and that flag made me laugh and cry at the same time.. Great work!
Better lap than the official F1 channel’s lap
Error 404: overtaking opportunities not found
I can see this is a challenging track for all racers including the best ones. Risk-taking at high speed corners & of course, _curvy._
This track has Vietnam and Baku vibes
Another high speed track with limited overtaking. Thanks for the upload.
It's rights out and away we go
Driving this track on Assetto Corsa, it feels more “IMO” like an endurance race circuit, for LMP machinery, sure f1 cars can go flat out in most of these corners which makes it a great spectacle to watch.

It’s asif the designer for the track just wrote loads of swiggly lines and said we’re done
Seeing the track like this I think there will be some overtaking opportunities compared to what F1 showed early on which made the track look very narrow
Where? I only see one potential (BIG questionmark) overtaking opportunity. The rest is all high speed corners with no run off. Overtaking will be nigh impossible. Looks cool, I grant you that, but as a racing-circuit it is horrible.

I could see all overtaking done at the first chicane, the front and back straights and the last hairpin.
I hope the safety measures will be different than in this video cause it looks super dangerous. High speed circuit with almost 0 run off area
I don't care about overtaking spots that much, what worries me is that the track looks like a timebomb for a big accident. God forbid but if a car has a brake failure, a spin, a puncture, or a touch between two cars the walls are so close, and in almost every part of the track the cars go over 200 kph, so I must say I'm really afraid of this race.
Yet it isn't a problem in Baku
I don’t think F1 would be building a track that is not safe
@@vandkanonen Did you watch Baku this year? It’s a problem there as well. Lol
@@andrewyoung1140 that wasn’t a problem with the track, but a problem with Pirelli. A tyre exploding will always be dangerous
@@vandkanonen First, the tracks “job” from a safety perspective is to be the final layer of safety when any another variable fails, I.e. driver misses turn, wheels blow off under braking, tires explode, etc. Baku, the track, did very little to deescalate the accidents. Stroll was bounced back into the racing line at the exit of a blind turn. If Gasley was any closer to Stroll that would have ended very badly. Sure the tire exploding caused the incident but the track did not improve the problem it compounded it. Secondly, drivers have been complaining since they started going to Baku about the pit wall on the straight, if someone were to hit it they would certainly die. It would act just like a jousting lance. Max, by pure luck happened to spin into the right wall when his tires blew had he spun left he’s probably dead, watch the replay. Go watch Nico’s video on his channel about Baku. He explains the severity of this problem. He actually said it might be the most terrifying part of track on the entire calendar. Fact is a narrow track and high speeds is dangerous and Saudi Arabia and Baku have that in common.
Well that was quick.

I wish there was more elevation.
I do too. I’ve seen a lot of people saying that it’s too thin of a track and will be like a long Monaco but if I remember correctly I read somewhere that it’s about a wide as Singapore or Baku so I don’t think there will be a huge problem for overtaking. Also in the real version there is actual elevation change. I think it will be a good race and I hope it doesn’t turn out like Sochi or Paul Ricard lol.

Holy KEK the billboards.
looks like it's a mercedes track where only mercedes can overtake because there is this long ass straight on the start/finish line. no chance to overtake as a fast-cornering car like red bull
That’s not a long straight at all lol - the final 3 races could see the races won in qualifying, especially if Abu Dhabi’s changes don’t help that much. Qatar doesn’t look great either.
Difficult to say what was in the mind of the designers, apart from the salary given to them for this "work". Virtually 2 overtaking places in total, and with these speeds one small error might create a massive crash in these sweapers. It will be a challenge to drive here, but i am unsure how good the quality of racing will be.
