Hey there can someone please help me? I am looking to upgrade from Phantom 3A to an Inspire 1 the least expensive way possible. So I already to have the DJI Osmo which we all know is compatible with the I1. What I'm thinking about doing is buying the I1 by itself, no remote, no camera/gimbal and selling my P3 but keeping the remote (if it's compatible with the I1) and using the Osmo and P3A remote. Is the P3A remote compatible or can it be modified to work with the Inspire 1? Thank you in advance for any answers or tips! Cheers, Greg
Christopher S The main track used there is titled "Got A Complex," and was picked up royalty-free from AudioBlocks.com. For that sort of material, they don't usually provide details about the artist or copyright info. Their entire business model is about painless licensing for just this sort of project. If you spot one of their promo deals, it can be worth the ticket price by the time you've got a single project wrapped up. Thanks for stopping by!
Can you be more specific? There are times when the camera used to shoot this video is handheld and being used to track a quickly moving flying object, or being used hand-held with the lens a long focal length that accentuates even minor camera movement, so you might indeed see some of that. Or are you talking about the camera mounted on gimbal on the Inspire? If so, there is a brief moment when - during the transition from landing gear down to up - that the mechanical worm drive on board the machine induces some movement in the airframe, and that in turn causes some pendulum-like movement of the onboard gimbal/camera, which are suspended by vibration-reducing rubber mounts. But you're not likely to be shooting any serious footage during those few seconds anyway, so I don't see that mattering. In other segments, you'll see the pilot deliberately rocking the Inspire to see how responsive it is. Those violent maneuvers also as a lot of the camera mount, not that you'd ever shoot production video while flying like that anyway. But I can't be sure I'm answering your question since I can't quite tell what you're really asking.
Of course a great deal (and in many cases, a lot more) of what you'd look for in the traditional ground station is actually implemented with considerably more sophistication in the Inspire's tablet apps. Have you looked at that yet? I'd expect waypoint features in later versions of the software. The machine is flying on a customized A2 flight controller, and is linked via a fast data connection to smart devices on the ground. We'll see how it goes - it's still very early in the product's life cycle.
Robbie Davis I'm basing my optimism on the fact that people working for DJI say that waypoints are not "CURRENTLY" supported. These are from some very straightforward, honest guys who support the product line, technically. If the word was that the app would NEVER support waypoints, they would simply say that in order to head off a lot of discussion. But they are referring to the absence of that feature as the current (not the permanent) situation. Look at the pilot app on a tablet - you'll see that the level of sophistication there is already huge leaps ahead of their other systems. They're getting basic flight behavior and safety hammered out before they start providing for waypoint flight features. Those priorities make sense to me.
Read the forums partner.. This is a make or break deal for most of the customers interested in the Inspire 1.. I mean can you please tell me what app on the Inspire 1 that would better then achieving autonomous flight? Also, if DJI was planning on having this in the update at some time on the Vision 1, Don't you think that would be a definite answer from them? $3000.00 is a big amount for "maybe?"
VerticalVue True. Which is why is doesn't cost more. Which is why it's not larger, noisier, and more battery-hungry. Have flown one yet? There are times I'd certainly prefer this over a huge, intimidating octo. Different tools for different jobs. Regardless, the complete integration in hardware and software from camera and flight controller to your on the fly choice of pilot/camera-ops configuration and multiple real time HD displays - there's really nothing else even close to it, let alone for the money.
Great video, thumbs up. Cheers from sunny Nelsons DockYard Marina, Antigua in the Caribbean.
That is so stable. Looking forward to receiving mine.
Super le DJI
increíble fantástico buen vídeo
Oooooh! So is there another clip with the footage is has shot?

The camera looks so unstable!
the camera is shaking right?

Super!!😎
When you wake up from your dream, please tell us all how good the video is compared to the new GoPro 4 Black.
sadly i can not afford that
NOTE! NO GROUND STATION OR WAYPOINTS FOR THE INSPIRE!!!!!

how do you expect it, did they say it would be there in future versions? i think not!!! The lesser expensive Phantom2 vision plus has it!

Still only a quad, no redundancy....
