You have been my idol for years. I got a Tama rockstar kit because of you. You have inspired me to keep playing. Thank you Anup from the bottom of my heart.
Cool, humble, talented, and... has the best sounding kit on RUclips. That snare, bruh... that f- Ing snare! I play me a geetar, but I’d enjoy even more nerdy drum stuffs. Engineering stuffs, mixing stuffs, mastering stuffs. You get it... great post, be well my friend.
Hell yeah man Dales Drum Shop is the go to here in Central PA! Wish I would've known you were there haha !!! BEST DRUM SHOP IN THE COUNTRY !! Sick Drums Anup !!
Dude these drums are absolutely awsome. I love the color and the overall sound you get from them! Hope to see more videos like this in the future. Maybe even show us some of how you mix and master your drums!
Do more videos like this !! Awesome anup. I have Tama Silverstar Birch and 14x8 Big Black Steel. And I bought your old stick Vic Metal....love love hehe. Interesting your new pair Tama Stick's Signatura :D
Dude any neady stuff you think no one would listen to is amazing. Your knowledge and dedication is just amazing and it's just nice to learn thinks that is not so regularly explained.
So awesome, thanks for sharing. Definitely interesting in learning more about how you mix and process your drum tracks. They always sound so friggin crisp.
i think its awesome that you talk about nerd drum and mixing stuff, i'm really interested in your mixing techniques and on your practice routines as well!!
Dude. Super cool too see you taking about this stuff. It allows the less informed to be more so. And that creates a stronger industry. Keep doing awesome work. And keep slapping those skins.
Would be cool if you could do a video listing a few essentials for a good sound whilst using basic recording gear. Maybe there are some common details that people miss or ignore. You're sounding british when your voice is sped up hahaha :)
Love the new found revelation that 22x16 provider’s better low end that that of 18 or 20, 22! Etc. This concept is not new, marketing and certain CA based drum companies pulled a marketing move with the help of some big artist’s. A good engineer, or a “garage engineer” will have this knowledge. A drum is the sound source aka signal source and that shorter depth is much easier to get fast low end punch. Interestingly, I choose 20x18’s and 24x14’s along with my 22x16’s as my fave kick drum sizes! Kudos on a great content.
I love TAMA kits, I've been playing on TAMA for like 20 years now. Honestly I'm kind of dying to try a Sonor SQ2 kit so I might get one if I can ever afford it, but TAMA is just a great company, their hardware is top notch.
For affordable kits that also bring top quality, you can’t beat Tama. Dw is overpriced in every way and the sound and feel is nothing compared to Tama. The only thing dw does well is make their kits look appealing with their finishes and just the aesthetics but the actual feel and sound of an expensive dw collectors doesn’t come close to sound and feel of a Tama starclassic for wsyyy less money. Tama is killing this pro level kit market at an affordable price from the superstar classics to the starclassics and their flagship boutique-like drums with the Tama star for those who want that top top Japanese custom quality. I have a Tama starclassic Birch/Bubinga hyperdrive in the molten brown burst finish and wouldn’t trade my kit for anything.
Would be cool to see a studio tour and if possible how you built your studio. Would love to see what gear you are running and how you go about recording your drums. Cheers legend and keep up the great work, love from Australia.
It would be awesome to here about your creative writing process, i.e. - how you go about composing, conceptualizing, writing, how your process differs from the stereotypical copy and paste method when it comes to metal. There is always a genuine thought process to the tracks you have made ( I've been listening since the beginning!) and there has always been a sort of Periphery-esk process that I hear from your music. How does it come out sounding SO DAMN GOOD!!!
Duuuudeee. I just love hearing you talk about stuff. I used to try and look if you've done some podcasts or interviews just get some insight or really just so we could get to know you more. Love these type of videos dude. And if for whatever reason you decide to make a podcast with anyone or by urself, That would be GREAT
The background music is awesome. I had a W/B and sold it for a Renown because they’re so explosive live. But, my TAMA DNA doesn’t permit me to leave the brand and I’m grabbing another W/B.
Love it love it love it ! Thanks Anup! Love your drumming and groove , this vid was fascinating as well. Must be a nightmare slowing down your vids to make you sound more manly
That would be a sick comparison. Even better if I could maybe eliminate as many variables as possible so you can really tell the differences. I might consider doing this for sure! \m/
Use C414B/ULS mics on the toms instead of the MD421s and you have to do even less processing. The 421s are basically Omni directional above 6KHz and below 300Hz so you get a ton of bleed from them, which forces you to gate a ton. The 414s have some of the tightest cardioid pattern from any mic I’ve ever used. You don’t need to gate them and you can put the mics a little farther off the toms (4”) and bleed still isn’t an issue. And a C414/TLII is amazing on snare. Set it to cardioid and you can position it UNDER the rim of the high rack Tom. You get virtually no Tom bleed in it, and no hi hat bleed.
Dig your work man. Fantastic kit. Real talent. When you mentioned the Finish looking like candy I wondered what you thought of the red-and-white oyster kit?
I really enjoy the content you upload! You have a unique playing style that just blows my mind when I hear it! It was nice to hear you talk! I think the only other time I have heard you talk was for some guitar strings you did an ad for? Keep up the good work! You did a great job with this review and I would like to hear more reviews and commentary from you.
Very cool video ! I would be very interested to see everything you're doing to make these videos. I make some drum videos as well and been doing so for a while but I really think you and Alex Rüdinger are the goats of drumming here. I would love to see how you prepare a session, place your mics, chose your gear, mix, lights setup... I'm gonna stop there because I'd like to see everything about it :') Thanks for the inspiration. You're amazing !
You know, on your intro music, I'm sure Lajon Witherspoon's voice will fit definitely so well !! Love it !
MALAKOCH hell yeah!!!
You have been my idol for years. I got a Tama rockstar kit because of you. You have inspired me to keep playing. Thank you Anup from the bottom of my heart.
Thanks for the kind words, and all the best! \m/

Yep... My Apu preconception went down the drain
@@miguelmf I thought he was English for sone reason.
It's been 12 years and only now do I realize this lmao
Cool, humble, talented, and... has the best sounding kit on RUclips.
That snare, bruh... that f- Ing snare!
I play me a geetar, but I’d enjoy even more nerdy drum stuffs. Engineering stuffs, mixing stuffs, mastering stuffs.
You get it... great post, be well my friend.
\m/ absolutely want to make videos talking about all of that stuffs. \m/
Hell yeah man Dales Drum Shop is the go to here in Central PA! Wish I would've known you were there haha !!! BEST DRUM SHOP IN THE COUNTRY !! Sick Drums Anup !!

This was awesome! I would love to see your approach to tuning drums in a future video!
For sure! Plans to make a video on that. Thanks!
Nice Anup!!. Congratulations for that gorgeus drum set, and thanks so much for the info!
Man those walnut birch kits are MONEY
Recently got the same sizes in a Star Walnut, largely as a result of this video. And yeah…obsessed with the 18” FT. Thanks, mate, from Australia!
That rules! Enjoy the new kit, and congrats! I absolutely love my 18" floor tom. \m/
A Tour of your Studio and Some mixing insights would be awesome to watch!! Love your Sound!
Do more videos like this !! Awesome anup. I have Tama Silverstar Birch and 14x8 Big Black Steel. And I bought your old stick Vic Metal....love love hehe. Interesting your new pair Tama Stick's Signatura :D

Congrats to this cool new kit!
I literally put the Turquoise Pearl 4-piece in my Sweetwater shopping cart a few days ago. Thank you for making this and solidifying my decision.
So awesome, thanks for sharing. Definitely interesting in learning more about how you mix and process your drum tracks. They always sound so friggin crisp.
I absolutely love my 3-piece Walnut/Birch. I got it in the Charcoal Onyx finish which is super sleek
Wow. Congratulations!
Love seeing this kind of video from you!
Some drum production videos would indeed be...nuclearly epic!!
Please Anup, continue to do this types of video! A good looking blue oyster lacker, I must say,
I LOVE Tama drums..!
i think its awesome that you talk about nerd drum and mixing stuff, i'm really interested in your mixing techniques and on your practice routines as well!!
You're the best, Anup! It'd be really cool if you could do some videos about mixing stuff, since you have some of the best drum sounds ever
hilarious video mate, 100% into more of these. videos about mixing or running a writing session in a daw would be dope \m/
OMG Anup love the kit man.....
Studio tour, mixing and recording tips and that sort of thing would be great 👍
Absolutely! Will do. \m/
Dude, you are amazing, keep doing this kind of videos!!
Great video ! Glad you like the kit. It looks great !
Been watching since the red shirt days. So cool to see the progression in your career since then
I remember you from george kollias forum around 10 years ago! Cheers!!
Can I get your hoody samples?
thx
This is awesome, dude! Dig the change in pace. Definitely do more of it! Hope you're all right, man!

This sounds like a great idea. I might make something like this. \m/
Beautiful kit.
NIIICE!! Make more video's like this! Love it!

Studio tour please!, that place looks awesome!!!
can't wait to hear this in action!
good that finish. WOW.
Also, hit subscribe as soon as kitty cat weighed in.
Great stuff!
You should do a mixing video or recording if you can, love your tones and way you edit your guitars, that would be pretty awesome
Your the best Anup! I want to see how you record and edit your guitars... your a monster 🤘
That would be a fun video. I've wanted to do that for a while now. Thanks for the feedback! \m/
Let’s see a pre and post mix of both kits!
Now that’s a sick kit! I have the Starclassic B/B in Dark Stardust Fade. It’s by far my favorite kit! 💕🤘🏽👍🏽💀
The BB kits are amazing. It's unfortunate that bubinga is now an endangered wood. However, there are still plenty of BB's floating around still.
Hey, man. Love your videos. I think it would be great if you do a sort of Q&A video of your origins as a drummer, how you got to where you are now.
please do more studio tours/production videos. I would love to see more of the real eight plug in in action. I use it as well.
More talking videos want to know everithing about getting that amaizing drum sounds , proncipally mixing👀
Absolutely will do \m/
Sick kit!
This was a nice change of pace for this channel.
Would be cool to see a studio tour and if possible how you built your studio. Would love to see what gear you are running and how you go about recording your drums. Cheers legend and keep up the great work, love from Australia.
Beautiful kit man, its got me itching to get some new shells!
beautiful kit.
Damn that finish is beautiful.
This was a dope video
Please do a video showing us your studio space and what some of your gear is!!!
nice video Anup! would love to see a mix process of your drums.
This is the first time I hear Anup speak ... I did not knew he is American, was expecting a thick accent! Anyway great playing and super chill dude!
Wow........You the man
Beautiful kit pal. Would be great to watch a studio walk-through.
I've been drooling over a drumkit like this for some time now and this video basically fueled my GAS. Thanks Anup! Lol

You should edit together a comparison of the B/B and B/W kits with old footage so we can hear the kits compared in your mix!
That would be a sick comparison. Even better if I could maybe eliminate as many variables as possible so you can really tell the differences. I might consider doing this for sure! \m/
Love seeing content like this a rundown on all your gear would be nice but I understand that would probably take forever to film and edit lol
It wouldn't be too bad. I plan to do that for sure. Probably split it up a bit.

hi anup....very nice kit
sick!
Nice!
Would love to see a rundown video of your drum mics setup :D
Anup one of these days could you do a play through of "Stigmata Addiction"? Incredible drumming, keep it up!
I had that EXACT same problem with a B/B 14x14” Tom. It was such a pain to get it to fall into a sound I liked.
Use me as a like button if you giggle when Anup says "BUBINGA"!
wow he speaks! tell us everything anUUUUp! (turns out i was saying your name wrong for years)

i love dales!!!! i shop there a few times a year when i make it up from york.
i love this guy.
Getting it within 2 weeks 🤞🏼🤘🏼
Yes!!! Have fun! Great choice!
Yeah please talk about the gear , why you choose the cymbals? That would be interesting. 😊and please explain a little bit about mixing 😱😱😱😱😱😱
incredible drummer
You should talk about your snares & how you tune them/thoughts on what they do well etc.
@@TwoandaHater Next video will most likely be about my snares and how I mix them for my videos. Thanks for the feedback! \m/
