Absolutely fascinating! I love to see how other cultures prepare their food, and what an honour to be invited into their village to see how they do things! Usually I watch these and think how lucky I would be to have Gordon cater my meals, but for this episode I can’t help but feel how lucky it would be to be Gordon having a meal with this tribe. What a cool job he has!

To be fair, the shitty restaurants are on shows like Kitchen Nightmares for a reason. There are countless highly regarded restaurants in the US. Also, if he was served their food in a restaurant setting, I'm sure he wouldn't be so polite as he is here. He wouldn't say "You guys have strong stomachs". He would say "That's fucking disgusting. Yeah, sides of red meat like beef(buffalo in this case) are usually hung and aged for some days after slaughter so that the fibers relax and it becomes more tender. Those chunks were still in rigor mortis lmfao
