What I like about Gordon is that he's a good actor. He acts tough on shows that require toughness, and gentle on shows where his normal energy suffices. He's also very good with kids. This is why he can appear on any show and leave a mark.
Very true. He yells n stuff for his shows, but his reputation is that he's actually a very fun nice guy
true
Oh yeah and he’s also the best chef on the planet probably helps too on a show about chefs
American reality shows love confrontations.
He's very compassionate with poor people.@@avatarroku7955
I am from the USA and married to a Peruvian. I am blessed to have experienced many of these wonderful treats Peru has to offer. We return to Peru twice a year and try to experience the food of a different region on each trip. Gordon thank you for showing the world a bit of my second country-Rick and David
I know what peruvian dish is your favorite 😅
you like hamster?
@@maya4good No but Guinea pig (Cuy) is incredible,
I’m blessed to be married to a Peruvian who’s family makes Peruvian dishes on a daily basis !!!
Nobody asked
@@stellviahohenheimSo what?
Education. Very malcriado
That’s wonderful; Peru 🇵🇪 is such A Beautiful Country with great cuisine .
@@0706101 A ti tampoco!!!
As a Peruvian who has been to Cusco several times, I can tell you that if you stay a couple of days in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, you will feel its energy, its natural flavors and you will disconnect from the modern world. I hope it continues like this for a long time.
Having spent some time travelling Peru recently, I can tell you their food is extremely unique, hearty and beyond delicious. The organic and freshness that country enjoys and how they utilize what they have available to them is jaw dropping. Thanks for the video, the views and triggering some great memories!
No one cares about you. We care about Gordan.
Are you related to danny devito
None of the food, soups made me thirsty or had artificial sweetener, so it's organic to me.
depends where you visit .
How much did you got paid for this!?? nobody believes that marketing, ridiculous wannabe youtuber.
Peru is h o r r i b l e!
That sacred valley place almost made me want to cry, it was so gorgeous. It looks like the Hobbit Village.
Living in southern California with a couple Peruvian joints around, they def have their own cusine to hold up against some of the other Central and South American cultures.
Don't forget how some amazing ingredients originated in Peru, like potatoes.
easily the best in south ameirca. no comparison whatsover. Mexican up north is very good but Peruvian beats it. Peruvian ceviche is the original and the best.
The way that he understands the culture and food is so respectful he's a legend
I just love how respectful he can be, awesome human being and the best chef we have ever seen 🔥
I love seeing Gordon out of his element! You know he was expected a full on chefs kitchen 😂 What a beautiful place! I bet the food was incredible!
I love the part where Gordon said he cooked before Martinez was even born. Funny part Martinez is only 10 years younger than Gordon.
Gordon probably thought Martinez was somewhere in his 30s since he looked so young.
No shot he's only 10 years younger, fr?
I’m from the Himalayas and I loved every part of this video, so many things I related to even though we are thousands of miles apart 👍👍
The hard part is Gordon tends to cook meat medium rare , whereas majority of these folk cook their meat fully cooked. They're not used to the medium rare meat.
Exactly what my mother said saying they not used to eating meat like that needs to be fully cooked that why it got rated last💀
I remember watching this episode years ago. I love how Chef Ramsay respects the culture, the families and the people. I wish this series would continue. This episode makes me miss Bolivia where I volunteered my medical service and taught for 1.5 years. Chu ño and chocló are my favorite as Bolivia (and Peru) have many, many species of potato and corn (with bigger kernels) than where you would see or eat anywhere else in the world.
Gordon Ramsay on National Geographic? It's a treat! 👌
Peru, 🇵🇪 also known as the millennial country of CULTURAL DIVERSITY and 5,000 flavors. It is the only country in the world with at least 8 types of cuisine: Creole, Marine, Andean, Amazonian, Nikkei, Chifa, Vegetarian and Haute cuisine. And CEVICHE is part of the Marine cuisine of Peru. According to the Guines Record, Peru has the record of 491 typical dishes, thus becoming the country with the largest number of typical dishes in the world. It also has 2,500 native soups, 250 desserts and more than 3,000 varieties of potatoes. We can feel proud that God has blessed us with a gastronomy that is unique in the world. 🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪
The country with the best food in terms of variety and taste, hands down.
@@gonzalojose9255bros never been to Asia
@@marktheshark5733 I have, cope my dude.
@@gonzalojose9255 Asia is insanely diverse every country has very different cuisines and flavors un comparable to South America. You probably had a lay over in Japan and called it travel or something
@@marktheshark5733 Actually I've traveled to 9 Asian countries in a course of 7 weeks, so as I said, keep coping my dude. If you ever have the chance to actually get out of your bubbly suburb illusion, you are more than welcome to taste the greatness in Latin American cuisine, especially peruvian cuisine. But you do you pal, make sure of touching some grass first cause you clearly seem to desperately need it
It's so fun to see Gordon being a good sport even when the locals are doing little pranks with him. He really respects the cultures and values of people he has never met before.
I love Gordon! Right when I was missing Bourdain’s shows this comes up! 😊
he really is living the life. he sees so much and combines it with not only his hobby and passion, but also his job. i mean he is living the dream.
Dos Genios no tienen barreras en comunicarse .Mundo pongan AAAtencion Estos Sres Vanba Salvar al Mundo.....atencion India , China , Rusia , Africa .....❤ Peru Top Mundial
It would have been amazing to see them make strawberry wine! I love fruits and will now have to add Peru to my list of countries to visit! Beautiful country!
Watching Gordon eases my anxiety. Thank you for uploading this on here for everyone to watch and enjoy.
I'm so excited to have joined you all on this journey through the Peru Sacred Valley.
I wonder if Gordon found a way to import those colored potatoes. That would help the family tremendously as well as boost the sales in his restaurants.
Even here in the capital is difficult to get that type of potatos
I’ve asked for chu ño even here in Southern California and from a family that’s from Bolivia but they are so hard to find. 😭
As I grew up in the mountains of Nepal, I can say that the main flavors come from the wood fire and those mud-stone ovens. And, of course, all the ingredients from the high altitudes grow very slowly. It’s always the slow process that gives the better taste.
Awh, Gordon and local citizens are so nice and humble! The show is wonderful! Thank you, greetings from Kazakhstan!
I was like “oh this guinea pigs are so cute!”… was not expecting expecting to see what I saw next… 😭😂
Me too!!!! D:
They're part pigs though
that's what happens when society shield you so much to reality
Those poor guinea pigs have seen some stuff😢. I think that's the only animal I'm sad to see get made into dinner
It’s Part of their Cuisine in the Sacred Valley ; they’re very tasty like Chicken😋😋!!!
Dude only got awarded with the best restaurant in the world.. what a boss
Virgilio, you're the best chef!
GORDON'S really a showman hes talent as chef evolves and got a twist in a show what a talent so brilliant go go IDOL GORDON
I've done over 1200 half marathons around the world and Mr Gordon has given it a tremendous try. It's very difficult at different sea levels, I myself have only finished 3 of those 1200 half marathons because I didn't understand the altitude and because most of those I ran the wrong way and ended up finishing at the start line.
It takes a lot of training and i'm proud of mr gorden.
Wow! I am one those lucky ones who got a portrait photos of these two amazing men individually for the cover of our magazines.
Gordaaaan remseyyyyy. Is this really national geographic?
No, this is Notional Geographic.
I think he's trying to be the next Anthony Bourdain
Hahaha
Nah its your mum
KEEEEVIIINNNNNNNN RRASAMMMMMMMMAAAAGE
Nat Geo beeping everytime Gordan swears, God, half of the time I kept hearing a beep! 🤣🤣🤣
That market looks like heaven. I’ve been to Ecuador but the trip was much too short and I want to visit Peru, along with other South American countries.
Enjoyed this. Ramsay is looking better here in high altitude beautiful Peru!
One of South America best chef? That dude owns and runs the best restaurant in the world according to many critiques and Virgilio recently got a second Michelin star for his restaurant on Japan.
Nice to see Peruvian dishes on display. I love the seafood and various potatoes while visiting this beautiful country with its rich heritage and kind people. I was not a big fan of the roasted guinea pig though- too tough and to be honest kind of tasteless.
It's a good thing Gordon's an athlete too, so he's up for challenges like climbing cliffs.
I love to watch Cheff Ramsay I had learn so much from him, I also would like to thank you nationa geographic and our Peruvian brothers and sister for this incredible cookout patronage, and also for the two world best chefs for this incredible culinary journey, Ramsay then for coming to South America
Quiero probar el choclo (I want to taste the corn) ..... IT'S RAWWWW jajajaajajaja finally someone told Gordon his phrase
Watching 👀 from Brazil 🇧🇷
Eu também!
Nobody care
You gotta love chef Ramsey. He shows us first worlders how the majority of the rest of the world eat and cook. Such simplicity in technique and ingredients
Why is Gordon always in a hurry. I would not leave that place as soon as I heard the verdict😂. Amazing video❤
I always watched Gordon's show.. very interesting, educational - cultural shoe ❤❤
I only wish to have a nat geo bag and accessories. Nat geo inspired me to be a seafarer and visit countries that I only see in TV when I was young
Welcome to Peru, the best food in the world
The "I was cooking before you were born" part sends chill down my spine for no reasons...
The mountain potatos are new for me! Looks delicious!
Love peru culture and the farming!
My God, the view around that valley looks magical
Terrific video, absolutely gorgeous valley, insight into the culture and of course Chef Ramsey💕
What a magnificent view. I’m so jealous that Chef gets to travel to such exotic places and meet these warm people and cook outside surrounded by this incredible Gods beauty. I didn’t realize Peru was so breathtakingly beautiful.
i miss peru.
Lol my grandfather use to drive at the edge of cliffs for fun while heading to our farms . Miss that guy ❤️
❤❤❤
If you are going to have Gordon Ramsay as host, then let him be. Let him curse! A Gordon Ramsay without cursing is a stiff burnt steak. Every time you bleep him, it reminds the viewer that he's on a leash, and whatever he's doing had been completely mapped out.
Chef Gordon thanks for pass a few days in our beautiful country Peru 🇵🇪 👍👍👍👍👍🙏🏼🙏🏼🇺🇸🇵🇪
Loving the mountains
With these series i have learned so many skills just by watching this, great job!

I really enjoyed this episode. Thanks geographic and gordon...❤
I've been there and the altitude is no joke! The people are delightful!❤
love this show... please keep this up... it gives me that lonely planet vibes
Guy: you must be a chef
Gordon: thank you
Great show. It was so hard because of altitude. Low oxigen.
Gordon is the best.
Wow thanks Gordon for these videos they are breathtaking I've never seen nothing like this only pictures and stories this is beautiful the country and the sites are breathtaking 🙏👍
As a Peruvian that’s mother part of Cusco and father from kiabamba I can %100 confirm they still live like this but live happily! I went to my father’s land he has every kind fruit it’s amazing. My father has a HUGE tea farm it’s insane
He said go get me the fruit “Tarzan”😂😂😂
Genial buen chico Perú te quiere bendiciones Perú feliz
MUCHO Respect to Gordon @44:04 or 44:03 “these farmers are THE HARDEST customers in the planet…why THEY ARE THE SALT OF THE EARTH” ummm meaning everything WE are NOT… pure uncontaminated taste buds- maybe because of the quality of food they harvest….
Peruvian food is sadly not recognized in Europe, especially the UK. Having lived in peru for over tne years I can tell you it is the most varied and one of the best in the world.
The view is breathtaking!
I love Gordan Ramsay and it makes me happy seeing him at my country Peru ❤️
Makes me want to move to Peru and just have a farm lol
Wow! Love you in those extreme action😅. Brilliant
He must be kind, humble, gentle and respectful in front of such greatness and majestic landscapes, people, ingredients and food, the Andes are a sacred and magical place.
When is the next Nat Geo expedition to Nepal?🇳🇵😊

Love this! Officially a fan of Uncharted!
This guy is like a demon hunter in the way that he channels being British into mostly harmless fun.
I don't know how I got here but I'm hooked 😂
