Wait do you know what Gordon said after ladies cook and what norm said when he’s like “I’ll tell you one thing I’m not eating this” or something? I’ve always been curious lol
Wow. Congrats
the way Norm backs up at 2:29 like he was threatened by Conans gesture fills me with joy
I believe he's received some splash damage in his past journeys. :{
Nah, not threatened, just shocked (and delighted) that Conan would mimic such an obscene gesture.

wow norm can't hide how much fun he's having. that's rare
Norm's follow-up joke on what was being cooked was a bit too sly but had me laughing ( 3:45 ). As he wraps the fish Norm: "I hope he's a magician"
"This will never be seen by anybody!"

Pay close attention to Norm at 1:27 miming to cut up the orange. I've seen this countless times, and I just noticed that he actually didn't cut it at all which makes me love him even more.
Excellent observation!!
And then he puts the orange he was pretending to cut away, show's Gordon's own orange to him, and then tells him that he segmented it and threw away the piece he removed.

@@KRPTV and who did they choose as their opponent the 2nd time....that's right, THE WORLD

@@chrisofstars Well Norm is bad, but Hitler was way worse.

Norm is such an Angel, I love how endlessly calm he always is. Manages to deconstruct everything Gordon says and still get a genuine laugh out of him.
He is indeed an angel now.
The moment at the end when he put his arm around Gordon and then shook his hand was incredibly heartwarming and was a window into how sweet he actually is.
I can’t believe he’s gone. Rest In Peace you legend, Norm.
T-T I thought you were one of those trolls. I really hoped that was true.
Norm will be missed.
I love that he's completely convinced that this segment will never be seen. And now it's a timeless classic.
Fun fact: this is just a staple joke for late night hosts. He never thought it wouldn't air.

Yeah, and then when Gordon turns to him again he shows him his own segmented orange and says: I segmented another one. Lol, he's playing a bored kindergarten kid. It's amazing.
Could you tell what he said when they bleeped out the cuss word after Ramsey corrected the way he was cutting??
“Look what Norm did.” Absolutely killed me.
The best part of all this is that Norm knows exactly what he's doing. Gordon is trying to walk Conan through everything and he just throws in a little diversion here and distraction there totally derailing everyone.
The only miss by Norm was having a big knife, slicing things, and not making an OJ joke.
I love how Norm could simultaneously drive Conan into laughing fits, and drive him insane with meandering/nonconformity. He was the perfect pick to contrast with Gordon Ramsey, who's so high energy and high standards. Polar opposites.
When Gordon said, “Ladies cook,” watch how comedic genius Norm suddenly pauses and appears to be waiting for the audience’s certain blowback. He KNEW it was coming.
Well duh
@@kristelpi652 No, most ppl would expect laughs from the audience. Norm knew it would cause them to boo.

Norm was a showman, made for TV.
Even someone with a notoriously bad temper as Gordon Ramsay could not get genuinely angry with Norm.
His temper is an act on his shows he's actually a cool guy irl
@@echidna60 It is not an act, it just depends on the circumstances.
If he is working in a real restaurant environment with regular employees, then he will not act like he does on a chat show and/or around other celebrities.
@@seanscanlon9067 No, it is an act, or an exaggeration for the cameras. I'm sure him cooking off camera he gets frustrated here and in there, but i hope you're not that naive not to know how reality show works.
gordon only gets mad when it comes to "professional cooks" and when it is time to work. but when it's chilling time, he's very goofy and makes lots of jokes lol. if u see one episode of kitchen nightmares UK and then one episode of kitchen nightmares US, u would understand that american producers only want yelling and drama, so gordon has to dial it up a tone.

I love Norm's delighted expression after Gordon's "ladies cook!" lol
Each of these guys are normally so in control, and with each other none of them are in control, and it’s beautiful.
If rock paper scissors was a group.
Norm’s always thinking on a higher level… he knows that, comedically, the worst thing that could happen would be a smooth cooking segment… “you’re not teaching, you’re just showing off” Gordon ignored the comment and kept going because he knew how right Norm was. Good stuff
Gordon played his role as the straight man here to perfection.
He was clearly laughing when he said that
Norm subtly pretending to do the orange when Gordon's back was turned was gold lol
What I like the most about Norm is his warmth. Some comedians sacrifice goodwill for the joke but you can always see Norm directing a friendly smile at them when he is messing with people.
My favourite part of this is every single time Norm is told to do something and Gordon just does it, and he stands there with his hands slightly raised with an "I thought I get to do it now" look
Norm McDonald interacting with Gordon Ramsay is THE greatest thing I’ve ever seen! This may be the best late-night segment ever.

Norm's clap at 4:46 is so adorable. Like a little kid.
