Oh yes, you call it snail, here it's the duck. And duck hunting was a very popular hobby on the Autobahn in the 80s. A girl friend had one and even the French hated her car driving on their motorways (she studied in Paris). It never reached the 60s and was overtaken even by lorries😂. But there was at least one pro. The cheapest convertibel (or so) ever produced. But I believe this was made for transporting long things. Great video👍

Well what do you know..... Plan an indoor session, and the sun comes out..... go figure! 😂 I do quite like the look of these little chassis, I have a Mini on this platform yet to be built. Not the hugest fan of the 2cv....but it's certainly quirky, and did look good on the village hall dance floor. Love the colour! These things always remind me of that James bond film where they used one in a chase scene..... as well as our old French teacher at school. She was a horrid little French lady that used to wear dresses that looked like eighties deck chairs! On the last day of term, myself and a few of the other lads may have accidentally lifted her Citroën 2cv 'dolly' up and left it on its side! 😬 It's unbelievable how light those cars are!! I feel a bit bad looking back now..... But, she was a really horrible teacher, and she had hairy legs! 😂 👍 👍 👍
I think it was ‘For Your Eyes Only’ back when Bond wasn’t conforming to the woke ideals of today. My primary school Headmistress had a 2CV in a horrible white and green colour, looked like a tennis shoe, my French teacher had a bike, but she was really weird 🤔😂👍
@@RCsoandso Yes mate..... let's just hope the production management of James Bond learnt a lesson from Doctor Who! 30 years ago the very idea of a female character becoming a 'James' would have seemed ludicrous, but in these modern messed up times who knows what will happen..... we could even end up with one of those trans-former types!! 🤷♂️ 😂 As for the French teachers, I can see patterns forming here, and the 2cv certainly seems to fit a school teachers character profile kind of well! I remember the tennis shoe colour scheme, our French teachers 2cv Dolly was maroon and cream two tone.... but, even that looked far nicer than these modern bland electric cars! 👍 👍 👍
Strangely, our headmistress had a husband who had the maroon and cream one, looked like an afterthought of the art deco movement. In the subject on 007 I’m worried that Diane Abbott will get the gig at this rate 😐
@@RCsoandso My God..... could you imagine her driving the Aston?..... or would it potentially be a Tesla these days instead which is 'allegedly' greener?! 😉 Where will it all end?! Have a great weekend guys! 👍 👍 👍
It’s a great color on the RC. At least the sun provided good light for the indoor session. I do enjoy sliding a RC around polished concrete. It’s like driving in the rain without the cleanup. 👍🏼😊
That’s true, the amount of dust and dirt these things attract is unreal. We were discussing how every screw head on the Konghead has gone rusty, but they are meant to be used 🤔👍
I like the little Citroen, I think the blue and black make it much more appealing then the yellow and black it normally is. I do agree it is an odd one for sure! It does look like fun running around in the hall!
Hey what a treat to have an indoor RC session. The 2CV was quite an awful real car but has a certain charm as a 1/10 RC. If only it leaned over like the real one. Good stuff guys 👍👍
Great video once again! Love the paint job on it! I’d say it was the most unique body on a Tamiya car until their latest release…which maybe now takes #1?
It does make me think how they pick the cars they are going to turn into models. There are some fantastic cars out there to pick from, but they always go with some left field 🤔👍
Still going with the “Now then-“ intro, eh? I was surprised when I first heard it. I’m even more surprised you kept it going in this post-SaVILE world…. :) :)

Funnily enough I do know of someone that was able to fit a motorbike inside one, long story but it fitted in 👍😂

Lovely drive! Not sure about the 2CV though. Brings back memories of holding the canvas roof together in the rain!!
I think the chassis does well but I can’t stand the body 🤢
That body shell is incredible beautiful 😍 🤩 👌

The floor was ideal, and because it was covered in scratches we didn’t worry about mishaps. I’m still not a fan of this 2CV 😂👍
That town hall is actually a secret entrance for the Kingsmen.
I have to say the issue with that is I prefer Brogues over Oxfords 🤔👍

It might be worth putting weights on one side and cram a French stick in it for the future runs, it was nice and toastie being inside 🤣😂👍

Wow that is a lovely shade of blue...what tamiya blue is that?
I think it was PS30 Brilliant Blue, but it’s not been backed with another colour! 👍
