Bad acne my entire life - finally figured out how to cure it - just eat well. This means nothing that comes in a package. No idea what's in all that stuff, but I just stopped eating it, and no more pimples. Over the last 20+ years I've tested this theory from time to time by re-introducing some junk, and sure enough, the next day I have pimples. It's really helped me stay on a good diet, since my body clearly communicates when it doesn't like something - I just have to listen! BTW, I have no problem with meat, potatoes, cheese, yogurt, any vegetable, coconut, avocados, but I avoid all sugar, and all packaged foods, snacks, etc. As Jack Lalanne said, "If it's made by man, don't eat it!"
Truth. I had bad skin too. I took it soda and it helped a lot but it's linked to sugars and high saturated fat foods what have Omega 6 as well. *Cut soda*. No candy unless it's like 80% and above dark chocolate. Sugary garbage cereals eventually just getting out of 99% of cereals because of how bad they are. Stick more with cruciferous veggies (kale, collard greens, brussel sprouts etc.) and consume more fish (preferably non-farmed and I did more tuna, salmon, cod, and halibut). IF you do eat nuts stick with pecans, and macadamia nuts. Try to cut down bread & pasta...I cut out bread completely and I love pasta so I compromised and do an organic red lentil pasta or chick pea based pasta. More olive oil. Coffee is hard for me but at most 2 cups of drip but if espresso 2 shots max per day. Try to use olive oil and butter is good but I do clarified (ghee) grass fed. Red meats need to be consumed less but if you do make sure it's grass fed (organic as possible) and I won't anything under 85% lean for ground beef and stick to cuts like porterhouse, ribeye, filet mignon, top sirloin. Bone marrow is awesome. Consume more water. Green tea is great. Try to add turmeric and ginger to your diet. Try to be outside in the sun for at least 20 mins. Try to do 3-4x a week of strenuous exercise you will feel in a few days still. Sleep is absolutely critical at 7-8 hours a night.

I've changed what oils we cook with at home for the last year. I am disabled due to extreme pain with RA and fibromialgia. I helped a friend at her gas station and she has a hot bar where everything is cooked with a seed oil. Now I've not eaten anything until yesterday. I just couldn't resist the chili cheese burrito any longer. Then ofcourse that set off a "ok today I'll just eat a few things with carbs." Let me tell you I am in so much pain this morning I almost wish I'd never been born. Lesson learned, I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT CHEAT EVER!!! Thanks Dr Berg, great advice 👍
I guess its important to note that arachidonic and Linoleic acid are the omega 6 fats that are considered the most inflammatory of the omega 6's, people should avoid corn oil (vegetable oil) and animals that feed on corn and grain. GLA (some people can convert linoleic acid to this chain far better than others) is actually considered anti-inflammatory and is found in seeds like hemp (though they recommend oils). Conjugated linoleic acid found in animals that eat grass fed animals also have a weight loss/muscle building effect
Dr. Berg been on your diet for five months lost total 20 pounds and suddenly I reached plateau for a month nothing comes off anymore until you made videos on ketosis diet consuming way too much fat, taking your advise of course so OMG, lost four more pounds in a week so thank thank you for all your powerful RUclips videos. Dr. Berg, according to the label on the Barlean's brand of flax oil with lignan's, the omega 6 (inflammatory) is 1900mg. However, the omega 3 is 7640. I think you need to put the flax oil on the other side of your column....

Yes I would like to know more about plant-based omega 3 options. I have a major allergy to all meat, eggs, and seafood. I’m not allergic to white fish but I do not want to consume flesh meats. Please help!
Growing up in the Caribbean my mom gave us spoonfuls of cod liver oil daily and an aloe cleanse every month. She would cut the aloe plant scrap and boil it and we’d have that as a tea. We’d be on the toilet all weekend but we were so healthy.
We like to deep fry fish every now and again. What oil would you recommend for that. Also, would like to know where you stand with peanut and grape seed oil. If anyone can help, that would be most helpful. Thank you!
Thank for encouraging the use of cod liver oil. I think I have a fear of getting too much vitamin A by taking this oil, but following the recommended dosage on the bottle, should keep it in a safe range.
Thank you. I learn something new from your videos every day. I am shopping for extra virgin cod liver oil today. I also love swordfish steaks but sadly swordfish has been overfished.

I notice Olive Oil is not on either of your lists. Could you explain why? Also, what oil would you recommend for cooking. I don't fry much but my husband does like his fried eggs :(
You can't compare Linoleic acid with EPA and DHA. Like alpha-Linolenic acid, Linoleic acid must be converted into the more active form (Arachidonic acid). So in the end you have to compare the amount of Linoleic acid and alpha-Linolenic acid and the amount of Arachidonic acid with EPA and DHA.
I've eating rice and vegetable oil as a part of my plate my entire life and this also explains why my chronic sinusitis has gotten up to a level where it is literally unbearable.

I just have a question, I hope someone can help me understand this: Flax seed oil is listed as a source of Omega 6 associated inflammation here. I looked up the ratio of omega 3 to Omega 6 in Flax seed oil and have found varying figures (on the bottle and on other bottles) all in a ratio of roughly 3:1. Meaning there are three times more Omega 3 than Omega 6 fatty acids in the oil. Taking the information of this videos, it sounds like the anti-inflammatory Omega 3 balances out omega 6 ( I can immagine, it would not be in a 1 on 1 ratio though). Does anyone know, why Dr. Berg groups flax seed oil into the predominantly Omega 6 rich oils group in this video? Cheers
Thanks for the video. I have been consciously trying to increase my Omega 3. Flax seed to yogurt or shakes, but can you speak to your Vegan subscribers so we can do what is right without involving animals in the process.
I love the video, but I am allergic to fish and eggs. So what would you recommend for those of us with allergies to the sources you list here for Omega 3. I also tried Algal oil, allergic to that too.
Fish has purines in it. Purines and cholesterol can lead to a condition called gout. A painful arthritis affecting mainly feet and knees. High cholesterol, uric acid, and saturated fat also flare up arthritic conditions.
Drink parsley tea and eat tart cherries and lemon water to keep it away. Uric acid crystals are dissolved with tart cherry. Calcium phosphate crystals will disintegrate with vit K2 and eating little or no fruit. Been there done that.
Probably higher OMEGA 3 ALA aka the shitty version of EPA. So its up to the person on how well the body converts. If your body converts very little or none at all, congrats now the omega 3 is useless and its all omega 6.
