yes, there is a denim patch inside that measures approximately 6 x 6 inches. Its always important to have a patch that is larger than the area you are repairing because the fibres are weakened around the tear.
Important question on the inside patch, is it an iron on patch, is there one you recommend? Thank you in advance I’m enjoying your needle walk. Have you ever tried using embroidery thread 🪡 , and if so does it not work as well, if so why? Do you know if I can buy shaskiko needle and thread online? This is the first I’ve heard of it so great;y appreciate your info. Your work is beautiful. I just never heard the term shashiko before so now I’m so excited to try this technique. Thank you. Hi Martha. I use a scrap of denim for the patch. I prefer using scraps because I have a feeling that the adhesive of an iron on patch may make it difficult to stitch through. I use sashiko thread (specially designed for mending) because embroidery thread because it doesn't have the same strength. If you were stitching a decorative panel, then you can use embroidery thread.
I can’t see the patch on the inside…hopefully I just missed it, it must be there, It’s so beautiful you just started a new hobby for me.
