I just bought one, unfortunately I got the wrong Antenna plug, I needed a PL-259 so got one on order. In the mean time using a long wire but not having much luck, I got a couple of stations but mainly static.

Have you replaced the Electrolytic caps?

No but I had to reflow a few dry solder joints a few years ago
