Hello, I have the same display installed in my FRG-7700, did you somehow notice that the reception is a bit worse as a result, it seems to me that way. All frequencies are displayed correctly except for 80m and 40m, where it shows 13Mhz and 14Mhz, what could be the reason?

Hi! Where did you buy such a frequency meter display? It looks great! I have the same radio receiver, I have already restored a lot and now it works. The problem is in the display - it does not light up. I suspect that the DC-DC converter is faulty. Today I applied 4.5V to the glow of the display and it lit up a little - these are thin horizontal lines. What should be the incandescent voltage? Thanks!
@@JosvanAs I am grateful to you! This display will be installed instead of the regular one. Does the display have a frequency shift of +/-455 khz? How accurate is it below 1 MHz?
@@JosvanAs I bought exactly the same display frequency meter. Unfortunately, it does not measure the frequency below 1 Mhz, so the frequency is not displayed on long and medium waves - this is sad. Do you know how to fix it? Is your instance running below 1 Mhz? I will add that the settings menu is so simple that the instruction is not needed at all.
@@JosvanAs However, today I found a way out of the situation - I connected the frequency meter to the output of the VF2 generator. To do this, I had to subtract from the frequency meter readings by the value of the first + second intermediate frequency, which is 47.6 + 0.455 = 48.055 MHz. Now the frequency meter shows readings below 1 MHz. This method turned out to be the simplest and most reliable. 73 and good luck!
