I paid £27 for mine - on 2m it produces 4.5W and 24.5W. On 70cm a little less than that. I haven't had it on the bench yet, so haven't measured signal purity, though I had a local ham check the spectrum scope on his 705 and reckoned it's clean. The manual is actually written in English and the the thing has a cast alloy case. You couldn't buy the box for £27. I find the rx audio a bit flat, but on TX I switched between my 9700 and the IC-980Pro on the sly during a couple of contacts and no one commented. So the transmitted audio must be reasonable.

I use mine for portable outings with my club where less experienced operators will be using it. Simple to use, no complex controls, works well for what it is. I did install the optional filter FL222, purchased used off eBay since it does not seem to be in production any longer.

Having a look at this for a friend and found it won't accept a 5 digit decimal place frequency. Works absolutely fine with a 4 digit decimal frequency. Have I missed a function in the software that will enable this at all? Any help appreciated. Thanks

The Qodosen DX-286 is the same great radio as the SR-286 but cheaper on the wallet with easier & more simpler operation!

I bought one. According to Baofeng they do not support it as it was made by them for an individual retailer. So far i have been unable to find any CPS to be able to progrmme it from a computer. Not even the one Baofeng suggested actually worked with the radio so yes, be very very wary, If you can get it with a lead and CPS software disc, you might be on a winner. Mine just came as a basic radio set.

I've had an XHDATA D-808 for a number of years now. Initially bought for an aborted trip to Dubai for airband. Knowing how hot they are with scanners, this is an wolf in sheep's clothing so to speak. Found that it's excellent on all bands, not tried LW to be honest. Listening to HF was surprised to pick up Gander controller coming through loud and clear on 5649mhz one morning a month ago. Compatible with my old Sony 2001D and somewhat more portable. The airband is pretty good which is primarily why I bought it for.

DM-860 and DM-1801 is the same HT? What is different of those radio? Need information of it, pleasw

Internet over FM will work like HD Radio protocol , is not gonna be very fast but enough for internet radio and other stuff over internet because many people still using 56Kbt dial-Up internet and it is enough for them .

I have a problem with my bf dr1801, I do the programming process, I go to print out the device to program it in the device and after restarting, the radio station itself still has channels and frequencies that are factory ones, does anyone know what the problem is? it does everything as it should, without any error, but it simply doesn't have those frequencies that I typed in and wanted to transfer to the station.

I got my Dx-286 this week and am blown away by the search sensitivity and the sound of the speaker when on FM. It’s teeny weeney tiny but packed full of features. I’ve come across one or two glitches in the software but I’m not as yet confident to call them out publicly. I wonder if it’s undateable through that microphone usb? One clear winner in your comparison…the DX-286 👍

The pronunciation of Qodosen (according to another website) is Chudosen or Choodosen. Oh,well. I bought the Dx 286 on July 5, 2024 for $80.00 USD. Online reviews from Jay Allen and Todderbert convinced me to buy it. It's rather amazing to hear the improvement using the automotive chip, given all of the adjustable settings. Great video.
