Thanks! This worked great, but I had to hit the reset to actually get the unit to come back on when I was done. I spent like 10 minutes thinking that it wasn't going to turn on. Then I held the reset for 12 seconds and turned it on...

Very good. I used this and the disassembly video to fix my grandson's tablet. I bought the digitizer for under $7 on Amazon with free shipping from China. I did add a set of plastic pry tools for a couple of buck (also Amazon) and a heat gun and suction cup for about $12 HFT. Works fine.

I have a Proscan that appearsidentical to this RCA. I purchased a digital glass for my particular model from china for $20 off ebay and plan on fixing mine myself. Thank you for this great video. It's a little intimidating, but I'm pretty handy and since I bought another tablet recently, I can take my time fixing it. Thanks!

This is pretty interesting. What would I do if my pro10 edition screen is a lot less saturated than when I got it?
I noticed that the color was off when I woke up one day, and started tapping the back. When I did this, there were stripes of flickering the color it was supposed to. Yesterday it dropped, and later on that day out of nowhere, the color was just fine... For like a minute. I don't know how to describe the issue Amy better.

how do get a dead pixel of the screen?
Is there a way to transfer an intact screen from a dead tablet to a live tablet with a cracked screen?

So touch is controlled by the new glass you installed. Check the ribbon cable connection to the logic board. It could be you have a faulty piece of replacement glass.
I think I may have crimped a single metallic strip on the tape when putting it back together. Could that have done it?

Im going to replace my rca cambio 2 in 1 digitizer. Is there anything different with this one because of the keyboard factor? I have yet to work on a tablet with detachable keyboard. Im worried about multiple ribbons and if i disassemble it wrong messing something up.
could you fix mine? i just recently had mine drop on the ground by accident. I need the screen fixed but i don't have the tools to fix the screen i believe the only thing broke is the screen in one place and not the led screen.
mine is cracked on one half of the screen and it won't respond to touch on the cracked side and I don't even know what happened

Is that a Screen with the Lcd and Digitizer
It does not have the LCD just the glass and digitizer.
Does all this apply equally to the RCT6773W22 ? It looks identical but want to make sure before trying it. Have you tried repairing the RCT6773W22 ?

On this tablet when the glass broke the digitizer stopped working, So yes it did not work until I installed the new glass.
wait... I thought I only ..? okay so, do I have to disassemble all of this just to replace thenbroken digitizer?
+Jonathan Adams If not replacing the LCD you can take the back off and just remove the glass.

hey .... I need to replace my screen too. I was looking on ebay for a new screen and it doesn't have the same model # as mine, does that actually matter ? or is any RCA 7" tablet going to work?
Topher 20 It does matter you want to but the exact model or it may not be compatible with the touch chip, also the camera may be in a different location.

Not bad on showing how to replace the tablet, but did you even bother looking at your video's after you made them?? If you had then you would have seen how terrible the lighting was when you was at first separating the screen and also you would have noticed how low your audio was, could not hear you too well. Maybe you should have done a voice over after making the video.
Virgil Gross yes I do look at my videos after and spot check them. To me the video volume is good all the way through maybe you need better speakers?? You are the first to bring this up in 10,000 views and this is voiced over. As for the lighting this video is filmed with my note 3 and I am not a professional just a guy trying to help others out. Loved your criticism maybe you should try making videos and see how you do before calling out others.
