20:00 ... This is the only demonstration I've seen for the Tonex One that explains how to access the whole 20 captures on the pedal without the need to use the laptop to go into the library. Yes, it's a hassle to memorise the colour sequence, however a mobile phone camera comes in handy for that.
Degan, you are such a fantastic and enthusiastic player. The closest I've ever come to not enjoying one of your videos was simply it if concern when you were recovering from illness and having a bit of trouble catching your breath.
Isn't it funny how our guitar heroes are mostly on RUclips now and I'm glad its being kept alive. Daagans actually performing for 1000's of people every time they upload one of these videos
Dagan's enthusiasm just makes my day. I don't care how bad my day has been. When you look at his gleeful face, you just have a change of mood. Very similar to Eddie's smile on stage, it lifted moods!
What are we hearing you play through? A capture from a DAW on your laptop, or out through a PA system or an Amp cabinet ... what? what would this sound like through headphones on a laptop/PC and what are the basic system requirements for it to sound good on a PC?
I mention that I'm going straight into a PA System and running a line out of that into a dest to capture the recording in the video, and it sounds great straight out the box. Same if you were going to run it direct into an Audio Interface or straight into your computer via USB. You don't have to tweak or adjust any settings, you get that tone direct, no matter what.
@@PMTVUK I wonder what PA speaker it was? I tried going direct into my Headrush 12", but it sounds pants 😞. I guess that's just the fault of the Headrush?
Does it feel digital? when you let the notes ring and fade to nothing are they notchy right at the end , a bit like what a noise gate does? or ring smoothly to nothing, you now this is an important question , like is it nearly a tube amp to the fingers or still a bit dry?
You still need to amplify though. Ok for home through studio monitors if you have them and if they are powerful enough. Through a FR cab if you have one. Rely on every venue having stage monitors and a good engineer. A great bit of kit and great value but not a total solution.
sounds amazing, but do all those amps come with the default package, or are you expected to fork out on additional models? I got caught like that with the UA Apollo interface!
I’m not sure about the specific profiles he used but there are a lot of preloaded tones. A lot of people love the default ones but in general they’re not perfect. There are thousands of models that others have captured available for free and that’s all I’ve been messing with. A good place to start would be Jason Sadites captures. He offers a bunch of premium ($$) packages but there’s also free ones from each pack that you can try out. They’ve all been good in my experience. If you have any more questions let me know.
Where is the sound coming out from in this video? I have a stupid question: if you’re connected to an actual amp at your place, will it not change the sound of the presets you select on the app?
It will change the sound. Ideally you’d plug this pedal into the effects return on your amp. On the pedal you’d disable the cab simulation since the signal would be going through a real cab instead. So the change in sound is coming from the “change in cabs” just like you’d normally experience when trying out different cabs.
So, please forgive my ignorance, I can't turn off the IR in this pedal and use just the amp sim by running it directly to the fx return on an actual amp and bypassing the preamp section?
You can do that. You just need to load an amp head that is already modeled without the IR or disable the IR in the software on the model that you want and load it onto the pedal. Then plug into the effects loop or however you get to a traditional cab.
Thank you very much. I could have done a better job of posing the question but you got it. This is a very interesting piece of gear, I'm going to give it a try.
An idea for a video, compare a fender strat to the other look alike guitars. Like the Kramer in this one, but not if they look more like an Ibanez RG. So show the differences in body shape and neck shape. Seems like Kramer, ESP, Jackson, Fender, Schecter, and Sire would all be good examples.
We was broke and hungry on a summer day They sent the sheriff down to try and drive us away We was sittin' ducks for the policeman They found a dirty-faced kid in a garbage can, ah-ha, oooh

Dagan Is love, dagan is life
I live for these videos, keep it up dagan
Dagen once took a loose hair from my wifes hairbrush and played the entire Van Halen catalog flawlessly.
dagan is a guitar treasure must be protected at all costs
We must protect all those who Rock while the world is still sadly being pulverized by poser who gesture and tak to a beat
Isn't it funny how our guitar heroes are mostly on RUclips now and I'm glad its being kept alive. Daagans actually performing for 1000's of people every time they upload one of these videos
Absolutely agree dagan is a beast lol

I find his overacted posing quite annoying and he mumbles and speaks too fast.
Incredible! You just sold me on this and I ordered an open box on eBay because I’m an old cheap bastard! 😊
The best overview of this pedal i have seen thank you Dagan.
DOA opener, love that song!!
Great Video man! You answered the questions I’d had. Thanks a bunch!
Watched a few reviews so far on this pedal and thought err no my mind will melt But that was a great explanation and now thinking 🤔 maybe 👍👏😎
This is an amazing demo thanks for this aweosme demo man

There is also a tuner in the pedal 😉

Nice guitar playing Russell Brand
Don't insult Dagan like that. Brand is a shameless hack and sexual predator. Dagan shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as that loser.
lol, you beat me to it...first thing I thought
sounds awesome. i'm dagan it. \m/.
That should be on the backs of their t-shirts!
I use it for Bluesharp...so cool

Man please tell us which tones you’re using!
They’re absolutely wicked and exactly what I’ve been trying to find
does the dumble ods preset come with tonex one itself or did you bought it?
hi! to use at home what do you recommend? frfr or some studio monitors?
What exactly are we listening to here? Is there a mic in the room picking up the PA speaker you are fed into?
A friend told me that he loves modelling because on the screen, the picture is identical to a tube amp...
"Profiler" was the word I think.
Which is the Tonex Mac software? theres is like 8 options there... what the heck.....
So, please forgive my ignorance, I can't turn off the IR in this pedal and use just the amp sim by running it directly to the fx return on an actual amp and bypassing the preamp section?

They dont tell u it's a absolute headache trying to set it up
This is probably one of the best devices ever made lol fr. This is coming from a RP1000 user.
Did you have a pint before shooting a video bro . . . lol?
That's how he is

It's no doubt very impressive, but I wouldn't pay AUD$359 for it 😱
179dollar
How do you connect a delay pedal?
Either mono or stereo using a TRS jack to two mono jacks after the pedal.
you could just use a multifx pedal and bypass the amps and cabs from that and put this pedal in Pre and then put the multifx as Post.

They sent the sheriff down to try and drive us away
We was sittin' ducks for the policeman
