Yeah it works. I connected the extender router with my pc with ethernet. My pc has working internet now via wired connection with the extender router. I turned off the ssid broadcasting of my extender. I have only one use for this extender.

No with this method you can connect it wirelessly

Because your DHCP is disabled.
Enable DHCP and your problem solved. Do not disabled DHCP.

Only the latest Version14 (V14) can be set as a repeater (range extender). Previous versions support AP mode only
If your Router Settings is green that mean you router is old and cant support extender mode but you can use WDS which will be similar extender mode
