I think vr plus the creativity and solid making of Nintendo games would be a big win. Also it would be a logical step, since this technology has been the least Nintendo tried in their past, but already started to gather experience with. As much as I love the Switch I hope for them to make something new and exciting, like back in the days
They ALWAYS gotta do something new with their systems, it’s the Nintendo way. Even after the Wii’s massive success, they tried something completely different for their next system. Granted it carried the same namesake, but the point remains; they’ll have something fresh up their sleeve
I think for it to succeed, they would have to beef up the hardware, which is something that Nintendo is not known for. Also, it would be a big battery drain
There was a big investor meeting not too long ago in which Nintendo stated they were no longer chasing dated hardwear and are now putting resources into cutting edge tech so maybe they will.
Idea, I love the idea of a console that can play on handheld, vr, and handheld but not every would want all three options which would drive up the price so why not have the base model be the handheld and the docking port, vr headset sold as accessories for the switch. For the vr joycons problem like the switch make the joycons slide in another controller so its cheaper for the customer and you dont have to buy a new controller for each accessories. This would also make it a lot cheaper.
This is a pretty poor analysis. Contrary to the Switch, that can be outdated in the hardware department, VR doesn't work like that. Without the proper hardware, resolution and refresh rate, it can be a very poor experience, it can make you feel sick, etc. Nintendo is about having fun and a poor VR experience isn't fun, for sure. There is a reason VR combo is expensive and Nintendo won't be releasing a $500+ hardware like that. A high-end hardware would be expensive, not to mention the need to be plugged in a power outlet, there is a reason Apple chose a big a$$ powerbank and even that doesn't have enough juice - and that costs $3500. None of that sounds like Nintendo. It's very hard to predict what Nintendo will actually do because they can go in such unexpected path and although I do think they would like to explore VR, I can't see that being their main focus.
The current switch has vr...not good vr but It has it. So if Nintendo does the same format as the swich for a switch 2 I could see the switch 2 been just like that pi max thing
it was about making something cheap and accessible that parents can get for their kids that won’t break the bank Idk how yall don’t get that I mean there’s a reason VR headsets are 600 bucks For what it offers it’s not that bad it’s decent enough
The thing is meta sells their headsets at a huge loss in order to get it that cheap but Nintendo always likes to make money on the hardware, and the games.
@@toututu2993 yeah, I'm saying it would be impossible for Nintendo to make something better or even at the same level as the quest 2 with the way they currently make and sell stuff. Also, even if they did make something similar to the quest 2 or 3 it would still be very under powered. the technology isn't really there for good cheap vr.
What are u talking About HD RUMBLE was revolutionary even PlayStation and Xbox added hd rumble And a lot of people still have amiibos and a lot of games still have the functionality
yeah no, i do believe nintendo will try VR again, but those theories definitely won't come true. higher resolution on a powerful handheld device drains the battery faster and nintendo definitely don't want to limit the player's handheld gaming session anymore than necessary, and supporting VR games are probably not deemed necessary. PSVR had 1080p resolution so i believe that's the max resolution they're going with.
The switch screen shouldn’t be what makes the image, it should go on a dock that sits on your backs and that dock connects to a headset, it woikd provide full wireless. You can throw a camera or two on the back for full controller tracking, and it woikd allow the goggles to be properly specialized
Nah, keep it simple... throw away the switch console entirely out the window Make a vr headset... add backwards combat slot for the switch cartridges to go in... slap in switch ui /w the eshop and call it the Virtual Game-Boy... ba dum tss...
Nintendo will have a headset but it won’t be part of the switch line and it will have its own processor and built in storage judging by all the patents this year it’s almost certain that this will happen apparently there are test a headset right now as we speak
The facts are that Nintendo will not market a family system for £500 because it prices out so many households. nintendo aren't competing apples against apples in this market because they're going in thie own direction. they dont care about having something that rivals the PS5. They're bringing to market something that showcases their strongest creative and technical attributes thats affordable for every (or as many as possible) household available.
Nintendo have recently patented this technology and it also has a Soc in the patents and I think the new switch will not be portable but a home console with super advanced remote play features as Nintendo keeps on updating this same patent and they have also patented nintendogs in vr and Metroid prime would be the stand out game and Arms is already adapted to VR all they would have to do is map the camera to the headset so you could look around
Hd rumble is entirely necessary. I’ve closely watched different people have wildly different takes on hd rumble. I feel some people have a diminished tactile sensation comparatively speaking.

I could see Nintendo copying Sony again by adopting the PSTV model, in which they release a home tv only unit, that takes switch cartridges, but also has better internal specs. That’s way they can still sell the portable units while have a new console all in the same ecosystem. They also would save on producing screens and the battery.

I agree, it needs to be WAY more powerful, the switch was underpowered in 2017
@JeremymKlinger Nintendo has done this for years, especially with hand helds

Iron Man VR is awesome and Quest 2 has a lot of fun games if you actually try to look.
