Very nice!!!! On my to-do list!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
Really nice Mustache. Although I have been tying for many years I always enjoy watching you tie. Your techniques are clean and your patterns are very nice. What's great about your patterns is that about 98% of them will work all across the country. In short, you do and awesome job and are excellant as an instructor. Great job Mustache.
Very nice jig!! Simple enough but looks like it’ll be very effective!! Thanks for sharing!!
James.....couldn't have said it better. Don't kid yourself though....Mustache makes it look easy but his clean techniques only come from many hours behind the vise. I look back 20 years and take out some of my old ties and it is embarrassing what they looked like back then compared to what I produce now. SMALLJAW, Mustache, Michael Jenson, SDG and many others make it look easy but in reality it isn't. It took me awhile to produce a jig pattern to the point where people wanted to buy sone from me. Now my phone won't stop ringing and it has gotten out of hand. I started tying as a stress relief and now it has become a second full time job.....some I didn't want it to do!
So happy to see you go for the loop instead of the pinch and place. It almost always makes a better looking dubbing body imo. One of my top leech jigs is the same except I use 2 high quality hackle tips for the tail and looped seal-x in blackberry ice for the body.
Have you tried any materials from fly tyers dungeon out of Missouri? If you haven't, you definitely need to look into them. Very affordable
