Tying a DEADLY Jig

This realistic jig is amazing for crappie, panfish, bass, walleye, etc.
Head: 1/16 oz freestyle head
Paint: Pink ProTec powder paint
Hook: Size #4 sickle
Eyes: 5mm Blue 3D eyes
Thread: Chartreuse Unifloss 280 denier
Body: Peacock Chocklett's Live Gummy Skin
Tail: Pink marabou

You might knock the paint off, finally lose the marabou but that jig aint going nowhere unless you lose it. I cant see how it would ever wewr out. The hook will rust through before that jig fails. I have been using UV for many years now and it is fantastic stuff. Great job Mustache. Glad to see you back. If you arent paying attention it almost looks like one of those gummy jigs where you use plastic and feathers.

Hi just found your channel & love kit. Simple Jigs & you explain how to tie them perfectly 👍. Looks like you tie most of your Jigs with a 1/16 ounce jig, I mostly Fly Fish, what size jig would you recommend for Fly Fishing? Thanks , also how about The Pink Flossy 👍

I like it! For fly fishing, lighter is better in my opinion. So I just use a small brass or tungsten bead as the head and use whatever jig hook you like.

Do you have any recommendations for a top coat over the UV resin ? They occasionally get sticky on me . Thanks, you are definitely inspiring and honestly the best at presenting the craft .

Solarez is what I use. It cures rock-hard in seconds!

solarez bone dry ultra thin uv resin is what i ordered last night . Have Riverruns and also Solarrez medium . Should work for top coat ?

Nah, I just hit it with the UV light for 30 seconds. It’s rock-hard and non-tacky.
