Couple of quick corrections, most of what is covered in this video works as shown with the following exceptions. 1. You cannot use the Ritual dagger to do mortal wounds on the Bikers as it is infantry locked. However you can still use Pact of Flesh to Resurrect a Biker model. 2. In order to use the Hounds of Huron on a Biker unit, that unit must have fought. If their target survives and you are still engaged you can fall back, otherwise you may make a normal move. But you must have fought to use the strategem. Huge thank you to those who pointed out these corrections and apologies for any misunderstanding caused. Game is complex as fuck so I'm glad we have a kick arse community here that work together on understanding these rules interactions etc.
Three thoughts 1) bloody brilliant stuff 2)I fucking hope you weren’t hoping to be monetised with all the swearing 3)please put this shit in a playlist for red Corsair only.
Just jumped on to the Red Corsairs with the new codex (iron warriors before). Really excited to see what else is coming. I loved your rhino tutorial I have used one with rubrics with flamers and then popped a second unit in. Big fan !
Keep in mind Mark of Nurgle has clunky wording - You actually only need a S7 weapon (S8 if stacking with psychic) to wound on 3+ (but it will prevent being wounded on 2+ for S12-14+ weapons)
Dark Raider can't combo with Hounds of Huron. It's not like Devout Push, which happens "at the start of the Fight phase;" it needs to be popped after the unit "has fought," and that biker unit is not eligible to fight, as it's not going to be within Engagement Range of an enemy nor did it make a charge move (it cannot, because of Dark Raider). The purpose of the "Normal Move" part of the rule is for if you wiped the squad you swung at or your opponent picked up models to take themselves out of Engagement Range of the bike unit (and you couldn't/didn't consolidate into them), and therefore the unit cannot Fall Back. It's still solid as an either/or, but you can't triple-move a unit of bikers like that. Well, technically you can, if your opponent heroically intervenes into them. But that requires your opponent to help you do it, and because neither of you charged, the heroic intervener swings first.
They are actually up there, the mobility is crazy. Black Legion being able to get their legion trait for one turn with a strat (when needed) is what's "holding them back", people play black legion to get the most out of Abaddon and get the advance and charge legion trait for one round when they need it. CoB is also super strong atm and they have an advance and charge strat for core units. That also included plague marines, who are cult marines who don't benefit from legion traits.
problem with this like with alot of DEATH GUARD stuff mortal wounds, and man, there are so many these days but this is solid, great video as always much thanks.
Thanks mate. Yeah if you watch my red corsairs masterclass I address this by switching Mark of Nurgle for Mark of Slaanesh. Delightful agonies is critical to solve the mortal wound problem
You can not stack the -1 to wound from black rune of damnation and the mark of nurgle. The mark of nurgle with tougness 5 had no sense because there are not a lot of weapons with S 5 or 6 (maybe 5 against necrons and for that you already have the spell to make them T6 and with the black rune be wounded on 6+. The real combo here is that you can send them with the black mace as a yo-yo. Every turn drive throught everything, charge and consolidate back to your deployment zone, so the answer ist mark of khorne and blood for the blood god!
Hey, I dont see the masterclass series on Word Bearers, where is it? Besides that Great to see breakdown of the legions. Also would buying your for sale stuff be better
As a Red Corsairs player this is very helpful...can wait to see the other coming videos👍...one question how many Bikers do you need (minimum or maximum) do you need to make this "tactics" work properly??
When in doubt, Max it out. If you have the points for a fully maxxed out squad then that is what you want, especially when stacking so many CP on strats etc
I will eventually, I did a Battle Report with Black Legion and plan to do some combo's and a masterclass on them. But there is so much ground to cover it is going to take time
It's not throwing it away if it shuts down the entire enemy Army from moving. It is a huge investment and you could probably do more or less the same with one less character
Yes, maybe instead of focusing on fancy on paper moves when all goes well, i.e we play first, we get no cast denies, etc you advise on normal gameplay?
@@johnchiotis4323 Dont be silly. If you run this stupid combo, you will always go first, and your opponents will never screen. You also get to set up the terrain in a super advantageous way.
I have to agree with Daniel.... just don't go second. Trick is, you ask your opponent if they are happy to "play by intent" and then when they agree you tell then you intend to win.... so now they must just give you the win! Jokes aside, one key is having a unit deployed in such a way that if you go first you can capitalise on that, but if you go second, the rest of your army is deployed defensively for a strong counter response

Please make another one of these when 10th drops for Corsairs 🙌
Will do

I'm just getting into 40k and the Space Pirates on Motorcycles speaks to me lol

Sounds like those bikers really boomeranged on ya
Cowboy time!

Good spot mate, thank you.
ayyy Red Corsairs! my legion. really excited for the next couple vids about them
I have some spicy stuff coming
I think red corsairs are the most underrated (legion) in the book

Yep, but works when enemies has +1 to wound against you. Them not being infantry for MoP is a bummer tho
Meta Tau armies seem to have almost no weapons of less than S5.
Yeah I also really like the Mark of Khorne black mace combo, although I think it is better in Creations of Bile

I did a Battle Report with them, masterclass is coming soon

Wow, a massive play undone by a single psychic phase.
Never question a man in a shirt like that.
Most armies do not have the damage output to kill this unit in one Psychic phase... nids usually do, but others don't really
@@BlogForTheBloodGod Or you know. Could just charge them with chaff every turn and make this limp noodle busy the whole game.
@@BlogForTheBloodGod my 3 Farseer, 3 warlock and 1 Wraithseer list says otherwise 😂
Are you going to do a black legion combo, im really struggling the legion at the moment
I will eventually, I did a Battle Report with Black Legion and plan to do some combo's and a masterclass on them. But there is so much ground to cover it is going to take time
Love the Corsairs, run a Demon Engine list. Just started adding demon allies, fun stuff
I kinda think this is asking a lot to make this particular series of combos viable. Means a lot of support is needed to work without a hitch.
Agreed. That's a really quick way to throw away 270 points at minimum.
It's not throwing it away if it shuts down the entire enemy Army from moving. It is a huge investment and you could probably do more or less the same with one less character
Chaos Knights Herpetrax Rampager with 'bow to none' WLT and Knight Diabolus WLT kills that unit in one turn alone.
Sacrificial dagger is infantry only
also that was a strange way to deploy then after move after combat as if you remove a model you would lose coherency check, no?
Shit... good spot.
Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it mate
What if you go second?
Easy. Just don't

I like the combo, but I that the amount of investment is a little too high. Not something I would bank on personally
Yeah, you probably don't need all of it, but when doing these combo videos I like to take it to the extreme
I was thinking it was going to be a run in shoot with meltas flamers bolters etc and run back out away from everything like hit and run
That is another viable use.
Tak!
Thank you kind sir! I appreciate the support!
Love the combo 😍🇩🇰🇩🇰
Thank you!
Seems great against a lot of stuff. Id hate to have this kind of combo and run into 1ksons or tzeentch daemons though.
Yeah as with lots of CSM combo's, Psychic Damage is irs weakness
@@BlogForTheBloodGod Tzeentch daemons might not be the worst matchup... 9 bikers are a legit threat to kill a LoC in combat.
