As an Imperial Fists player I am flabbergasted how good your characters are! We don't have anything near them. As for story playing against these I played vs a Discolord of Slaanesh and BOI DID HE HURT. Dreadnought and Chaptermaster (buffed Captain with powersword) shot and charged him (Fists turn 1 so extra AP and extra damage) and just got him down, well, mmortal wounds and fight on death, your Warlord chaptermaster is now gone.. I recently found your channel and look forward to future content!
Cool ideas here Dean, Here's some more. I may have told you the Night Lords one before (it's not my own). Chaos Lord in Terminator - Emperor's Children. Power Sword upgraded to Blade of the Relentless Warlord Trait: Hatred Incarnate. 8 Attacks (6 + 1 for Hatred + 1 for Blade of the Relentless) where 6's To hit do 2 Mortal Wounds with full re-roll's to hit. Murderous Perfection strategem allows you to flip a dice To Hit to a 6 guarantee'ing at least 2 Mortal Wounds. Combine with Diabolic Strength for shenanigans of 10 attacks with full re-rolls, allowing you to milk the mortal wounds. Failing that; you're still striking at S8 with AP4 and if in wanton massacre; your mortal wound hits are producing additional normal hits at s8. Just to show off, any 6's To Wound with this sword is -5. Combine with a combi-weapon of choice, especially a combi melta for more fun, guaranteeing 2 hits with a Murderous Perferfection meltagun. BUT: you can also upgrade with another relic of Fatal Sonancy, allowing you to do up to 6 MW in the *movement* phase as well, and best of all, allows you to snipe at characters if in range (as it isn't a shooting profile) and because of a fairly unique out of phase damage mechanic, helps to get around damage caps as well. Master of Execution - Night Lords Warlord Trait: Night Haunter's Curse Warp Malice relic. Mark of Slaanesh We all know how dangerous a master of executions is in melee combat, but between Murderous Perfection & Night Haunter's Curse you can guarantee 4 mortal wounds in the shooting phase (Pistol 2, each 6 to hit does 2 Mortal Wounds, both Murderous Perfection and Night Haunters allows you to flip a dice to a 6). Wanton Slaughter/Massacre Allows this pistol to become a Pistol 4 weapon and obviously allows additional shots for rolling 6's to Hit. And then of course you hit the enemy with the Master of Executions in combat, guaranteeing another 4 mortal wounds. If you wanted to try for 2 relics there is of course Misery of the Meek for more attacks (and of course more chances for mortal wounds). Of course, the Master of Executions can be target for all sorts of the same shenanigans such as Abaddon/Diabolic Strength too.
@@beerbatreps3861 I personally prefer Hatred Incarnate and Blade of Relentlessness. This way you still hit on 2+ with full rerolls, get 9 attacks instead of 7 and 6s to HIT do 2 mortals. The EC lord has the Flame of Spite War Lord Trait for the re-roll wounds, with wound rolls of 6 causing a mortal wound + an extra -1 AP due to being a Emperor’s Children…. Lord discordant, MoT, flames of spite and gorget of eternal hate does wonders in my iron warriors list. He's survived so much and then killed them back for fun and when the opponent does take him down by swarming him, free mortal wounds 😀
Hi Dean, It’s pure theory but I think that a Chaos Lord or Master of Execution in a Iron Warrior army can more or less easily destroy a Knight with a lot of mortal wounds (+ normal damages) with the following upgrades and buffs : Mark of Khorne 2 Iron Warrior relics : Insidium and the Axe of the Forgemaster Trait : Flame of spite Than you cast 2 powers from the Master of Possession : Infernal Strength on your character (he becomes Demonial with Insidium) and Marked by the Warp on the target He will have 6 attacks (or 8 with Diabolic Strength) hitting on 2s with 6 to hit autonatically wounding and counting as a 6 to wound (maybe reroll to hit fron Abaddon); wounding on 2 even a Endurance of 8 (Strength 9 and +1 to wound) with full reroll to wound and a 6 to wound with the Axe cause 1 additional MW (3 MW if the target is a vehicle) +1 MW with Flame of Spite. So all the sixes to wound cause 2 additional MW or 4 if the target is a vehicle and with the rerolls to hit and to wound you can have a lot of 6 to wound and then you have also the normal damages AP -3 D 2 (maybe 6 or even 8 saves with all the rerolls)
Kinda curious why you went Slaanesh on the Disco being he’s got a 5+ FNP. Did I/you miss something? Nurgle/Tzeentch make would certainly add to his durability. Or were you thinking added durability from the free interrupt he’ll get in combat with the Slaanesh mark? 🤔
Here are 3 options. #1. Deans DA with EFC&EP & Omen vs terminators will have a 33% success at damage with AP -2(-1 vs AoC) But will be better vs higher toughness non monster or vehicles or vs non AoC units. also in ongoing fights with MoS. #2. DA with AC MoK and epistle will have a 50% successful damage rate vs T4 terminators -3AP(-2 vs AoC) but harder tim😮e Vrs higher Toughness units but will be able to Cast Illusory supplication also on a unit. #3. DA with AC Omen and Flames of Spite (you lose 2”M, +1A,+1W) but you hit 8A at 2+ wound Toughness 3< 2+ and Toughness 4-6 on 3+ with re rolls of wounds. This gives 7/8 wounds with Ap-3(-2AoC)with chances of rolling a 6 for MW. Giving the DA 6-8 damage with possible MW. EFC will do 9 damage and AC will do 8 damage. All in all even though I love the concept of a DA damage dealer, he is not the best choice for WB out of any of those options. A side note for Exalted possession is that yiu count as a daemon and daemonkin so a Master of Possession can target the DA also. At end of day I think there is a stronger choice for the damage dealer for WB (Daemon Prince) and the DA if you want can be a secondary damage dealer. With epistle omen and illusory.
I love the things you've highlighted here. And I'm glad you included a Chaos Lord because I think he gets overlooked. Unyielding Mettle is such an excellent warlord trait, especially combined with flesh metal exoskeleton or the Insidium.
My addition, based on the request above: Iron Warriors Warpsmith with Techno-Venomous Mechatendrils and the Hatred Incarnate Warlord Trait. 10 attacks, can re-roll all of them, and any hit causes a mortal wound automatically. Mark of Slaanesh to fight first.
So I am confused. If I'm playing a black legion army I can choose which legion that they are from? It’s pure theory but I think that a Chaos Lord or Master of Execution in a Iron Warrior army can more or less easily destroy a Knight with a lot of mortal wounds (+ normal damages) with the following upgrades and buffs :
Mark of Khorne
2 Iron Warrior relics : Insidium and the Axe of the Forgemaster
Trait : Flame of spite
Than you cast 2 powers from the Master of Possession : Infernal Strength on your character (he becomes Demonial with Insidium) and Marked by the Warp on the target
He will have 6 attacks (or 8 with Diabolic Strength) hitting on 2s with 6 to hit autonatically wounding and counting as a 6 to wound (maybe reroll to hit fron Abaddon);
wounding on 2 even a Endurance of 8 (Strength 9 and +1 to wound) with full reroll to wound and a 6 to wound with the Axe cause 1 additional MW (3 MW if the target is a vehicle) +1 MW with Flame of Spite.
So all the sixes to wound cause 2 additional MW or 4 if the target is a vehicle and with the rerolls to hit and to wound you can have a lot of 6 to wound
