- Hola my beautiful familia! ♥️ So today I'm reviewing the brand spankin new at Sephora bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Natural Matte Tinted Moisturizer Mineral SPF 30. I’m doing a full review, first impressions and a 2 day full day wear test of this new tinted moisturizer. I found this worked best for me with no primer applied with my fingers working in sections. So happy they offered a formula for oily skinned gals!
I bought this without watching any reviews and girl same!!! Such a weird consistency but I liked it soooo much. I found the best way is to really rub it in but with your fingertips no brush or sponge and on bare skin!
I used this today for the first time and only used moisturizer with SPF before putting on the Bare Minerals. I put it on with my fingers and only added cream blush, no setting powder and it lasted all day. You have to shake it really good before applying.
This makeup works better when it’s applied directly to the skin, no primer needed. If anything that makes the application and blending worse. I would say it begins to look better with time, I personally think that’s great. As an oily skin girl, my makeup tends to look like a mud slide after a couple hours. The fact that this makeup looks better with the heat and oils from your face means it will look great throughout the day, especially in the summer. It definitely applies better using your fingers or a damp sponge.

I have the same problem with the original not sticking to my nose but I love the way that it makes my face look so I avoid my nose and just use concealer on the nose

Thank you for this! I have oily skin and have been on the hunt for a tinted spf for the summer time because I hate wearing foundation in the summer. I purchased this and tried it and have been struggling trying to make it look nice on my skin. I’m going to try it today with no primer and just skincare! ❤️ I wonder if the Smashbox oil control primer would work….? Also- Bare Minerals has new primers out I wonder if those would pair nicely?!

Great Review! The coverage looks pretty good. Even though I have dry skin matte tinted moisturizer only work if I have an extremely moisturizer underneath. I’m only passing cause you recommend so many amazing one’s last year I’m still wearing. But I’ll definitely keep this one as a maybe💕

Did you try shaking it vigorously first? I saw on Ulta’s website it says to shake to get all the mattifying properties mixed in well. Maybe that’s the issue? I’d love to try this!

Did u shake the matte one? It says to in the directions. I’m gonna get it this week probably. Will try with a few hydrating primers or no primer. Usually with matte foundations u want to use something more hydrating to balance the skin out so I do t over produce more oil.
Good but not great then. My everyday foundation is the Dermablend CC, and i also think it falls in that good but not great category. But its a solid good, and zero breakouts. I guess this would be something like that, i think of bareminerals as a brand mindful of ingredients and sensitive skin types, like Dermablend, physcicians formula, Almay.

I actually experienced the same with the last hydrating complexion rescue gel I bought (on not the ones before that) - the texture and application is super odd.
It does wear beautifully but it’s a bit of a pain to blend it to the skin even without a primer. But I love the feel and look after it dries out and. It has nice coverage. I don’t think it’s buildable as it starts to steak even more.

for that price point idk 🤷♀️ if it can't work with primer and the setting spray was even problematic bare minerals is good but there are better tints
My experience with the product has been it is really wonderful without primer. It doesn't play well with primer for me at all.

I didn't even know they came out with this. I have the original and it plays well with my sensitive skin but it feels too tacky for my liking. This might be a good option.

I believe they are discontinuing the original, gel cream. I read the rereviews of this one on Sephora and the comments are terrible.
