    Depends on the kind of traveling you do, I personally think International travel in Business/First you get the most bang. I have the CSP and Chase United card and booked a trip to Tanzania Business class. It was operated by United Partner Ethiopian Airlines and I was able to get 5.4cents PPV. I would have had to sell one of my kidneys to afford that ticket in cash lol..Great vid as always Chase 💥

    Reminder when calculating CPP, you must deduct the cash price minus the taxes/fees that come with booking with points to get a more accurate CPP. Example, (1818-5.6)/50,000 * 100. In this case, taxes/fees were low enough to not make a difference. But overall, great job on the video.

    Awesome video, Chase. I just found your channel a few weeks ago and have been learning a lot. Thanks for doing these. How do the points transfer from the partner to one of their partners - or is it just a matter of booking on the partner airline's website? For example, from Virgin Atlantic to Delta or Korean Air?

    • @SonnyChanhvongsak
      @SonnyChanhvongsak Год назад +2

      Just a matter of booking on the partner airline website. I regularly use Virgin Atlantic points to book delta flights from the virgin website

    The concept is correct, but your information in the United example is wrong.
    United award prices are ONE-WAY, not round trip.

    • @ChaseYokoyama
      @ChaseYokoyama  Год назад +1

      You are 100% right. I misspoke on that example and it would be 60k for that one way Business flight from LAX - JFK at the 3.6 cpp. I was just trying to show the one way prices.

    • @ChaseYokoyama
      @ChaseYokoyama  Год назад +2

      If it makes sense for you, go for it. You dont always have to get the most Cent per point value. At the end of the day, you will get the most value from your points when you use it for something that you need 👍🏽 I hope that made sense lol

    So you can't transfer the miles from the Chase United cards to the actual airline without the Saphire preferred, Reserve, Ink Business Preferred?

      Actually the United Chase cards earn United miles on their own. The United cards do not earn Chase points. You would only need the Sapphire preferred, Reserve, Ink Business Preferred for cards that earn Chase Points.

    So...unfortunately his breakdown on United is..wrong.
    United shows cash fares for round-trip and awards fares one way. That 50k is only half the trip.
    This means his redemption value (if he can find return that cheap, by no means guaranteed) is only 1.8 cents.

    This is helpful! I just planned a trip and although I got a better deal using points for United but American airlines was cheaper airfare so I had a better deal using the chase portal with 1.5 and got my trip for free but it would of been so much better if American was a transfer partner 😒
    Edit: I had a better deal with points if I went with united when it was points vs cash.
