Just picked up the Venture X and pumped to put the Travel Credit in action. Absolutely love the Bilt Card & the travel upside it provides, and tough to beat access to the Chase ecosystem through the CSP. Great video Chase!
I’m new to the credit card game and based on my research this was the exact daily driver setup I came up with. It was nice hearing you reaffirm what I consider a great all around setup. I’m going to add a few chase ink business cards, use the Ink Cash for GCs occasionally then reevaluate a year from now by looking at my travel habits. If I’m traveling more domestic and struggling to maintain a 1.5cpp I’m going to upgrade to the CSR and lock in a simple 1.5 cpp floor for my domestic travel with the portal multiplier. Obviously this will increase my EAF, but for an extra ~$200 and even better travel protection I think it’s easily justified
Nobody ever talks up the 3% “entertainment” on the Savor. Wonder why? Covers you for movies, sports, amusement parks, concert tickets, ticketmaster charges and more. I live in LA and get a lot of use out of that category. Which of these cards is gonna cover gas for you? You’re getting at best 2x on the VX, unless it’s a FF quarterly category.
I'd love to get the Savor One to compliment my Venture X just from being able to get a lot of points from Disney and Universal vacations...unfortunately, I can't ever seem to get approved for the Excellent Credit version with the SUB, only the Good Credit version according to their preapproval tool. I'm not sure I want to stop Churning to waste a card slot for the Savor One for right now if they aren't even going to offer me a bonus.
I currently have the Venture X, and it is my favorite card! I believe it is the best travel card in the game right now. I hope to soon pair the Savor One card with it. That will be a great duo that will cover so many categories. I may like Chase points more, but Captial One cards earn better.
Ayyye just posted the same card list everyone needs for 2024! Great minds think alike 😂 although like you mentioned my flex spot was a hotel keeper card instead of the bilt card. Bilt is great for renters, but since that isn’t useful for everyone I opted to highlight hotel cards. Also that new lighting 👀🔥
If your not a frequent flyer and aren’t looking for the lounge access the The Venture card is a good alternative to the Venture X and the annual fee is $95
Question. Why savor one for dining when your CSP has an effective 3.1% return? You also mentioned that chase points > c1 miles. So it’s a double-win for chase in that regard. I think groceries+entertainment for savor one and dining+travel expenses for CSP unless 5% boosted by FF. Thoughts?
whoa baller alert! 🚨 I actually just got my Venture X in the mail today and im planning on upgrading to the CSR later this year. Im stoked that you can use the lounge at Denver. It looks so nice 👏🏽
First time commenting! Nice video! I actually just got the VX yesterday and am super excited! I was debating if I wanted to upgrade my CSP, especially I'm in NYC, but ended up doing VX since I only fly a few times a year. Plus I have my Savor! I'd like to try the duo and see how they work.
Welcome to the comment section! 🙏🏽thank you very much. congratulations o the Venture x 🥳 the Capital One Duo is solid. I actually just got approved for my VX on Tuesday. I should've waited one more day to match you
Vacasa's also a really decent program too! Imo the best way to use Wyndham Points, and I expect to get a lot of those soon with the Wyndham Business Earner.
You listed benefits that will be expiring on other cards, but Hertz President Status for the VX ends at the end of this year. Other than that, I think this is the setup I’m aiming for! 3/5 completed
I love my Venture X tbh. As long as I’m able to get that annual travel credit and anniversary point bonus, I’ll be a happy camper. The Bilt Mastercard is my favorite credit card on this list. Crazy that I have just about all of these credit cards on your list 😃. Great video Chase!
Agreed. I hope they dont touch this card anymore. They already removed the Priority pass restaurant benefit and are gonna remove the Hertz President's Circle status.
depends on what your goals are for credit cards right now. The cards in this video will complement the freedom unlimited (except maybe the Venture X which would replace it) For example, if you want a dining card then adding the Savor one would help you capture more points than just the CFU.
I can't speak to if the benefits will be the same or similar in a year from now since credit cards are constantly changing. However a credit score of 710 is good enough to get accepted for all of these cards. If you currently have your own credit card, then you should have a high acceptance rate assuming all other factors are solid. If you are only an authorized user then Chase might not accept you. They tend to favor users with a prior credit history.
I don't advise keeping a balance on your credit cards and racking up interest. However there are a few cards with into limited time 0% APR offers such as Citi Custom Cash, Chase Freedom Flex, Chase Freedom Unlimited, and Discover it
Cash back cards are a great place to start. Like Chase Freedom Unlimited, Chase Freedom Flex, Discover It, Capital One Savor One, Citi Double Cash, Wells Fargo Active Cash, Fidelity Rewards Visa, just to name a few to look at.

welcome to the game. it sounds like you are off to a great start.
Love to see 3 $0 AF cards on your list! They are so overlooked!
for sure! There's lots of value in many of these no annual fee cards 🤙🏽 We don't always have to pay to play for every card we own
I really like the two Chase cards and two Capital One cards. They work so well together and earn solid rewards
Agreed. And they have pretty solid point ecosystems as well

facts facts facts 👏🏽 not too many cards have that entertainment category so it really is helpful to have.
Entertainment is what I use the SavorOne for 🫡 good call out

In my case entertainment tends to be big purchases too, game and concert tix more than movies
@Lancun it took me 2yrs to get pre-approved for the Excellent credit version
Venture X, SavorOne, Citi Custom Cash and a hotel card is my perfect combo.
yes yes yes! That is a good lineup indeed. Nice mix of cash back and points

That Cap One duo is nothing to be messed up 😤
All I have to say is
Chase ink cash card 🤐.
6:00 don't forget about the 10% anniversary boost on the CSP
It was the main reason I chose it over the CSR
very true 👏🏽 that 10% can edge out cards with similar reward multipliers
It's just a shame that it's too hard to get the C1VX. Thanks for the video.
Capital One can be sensitive . Just keep checking the pre approval tool and trying to fix whatever reason they may say for the denial. Thank you!
I have this exact setup. I use my Hilton surpass as my gas and hotel card.
that's great to hear 👏🏽 you got a solid AF setup

you are 100% correct. That would be a better idea and I should have communicated that in the video. 👏🏽 I appreciate you bringing this up.
Glad to hear that! Keep up the good work! 🫡

Just got the venture x and the Chase sapphire reserve. I’m super excited about the venture x bc I’m out of Denver

Hey man if you want to apply for the reserve let me send you a link I work for chase and would get credit😅
The bilt credit card is by far the best no annual fee card out there
it's solid 💪🏽
Other than BILT card (I own not rent), I’d swear you’re reading my mail. Great card setup.
😂 😂 I know a guy at Disney giving me all the details

Big time cards!!! Capital one doesn’t have any hitter hotel programs
But I recently saw some great value with Wyndham in Latin America.
Vacasa's also a really decent program too! Imo the best way to use Wyndham Points, and I expect to get a lot of those soon with the Wyndham Business Earner.
100%! and after watching your video I can think of 5 reasons why the Savor One is so good.
You listed benefits that will be expiring on other cards, but Hertz President Status for the VX ends at the end of this year. Other than that, I think this is the setup I’m aiming for! 3/5 completed
you're off to a great start for sure. When do you plan on picking up the final 2 cards?
EVA Air, the bes transpacific crossing airline in the world
This is a good line up, Chase.
thank you my guy 💪🏽

Im just a casual spender and want to gain points for mostly travel but really anything. Even after watching this im still clueless on what to get lol
Do you have any questions that I may be able to answer and help set you in the right direction? Or to start, what cards do you have now?
@@ChaseYokoyama What is a good balanced card with good rewards
Same lol
Good to see you’re still pumping out your namesake 😂

wasssup Chad! 🤙🏽
I have the freedom unlimited do u think I should switch to any of these mentioned in video???

Question: I’ve already got a Quiksilver & SavorOne. Do i have to cancel one before applying for venture x
Capital One’s limit is 4 cards, so you should be good to have all three.
Would the BILT credit card score you points for rent as a small business leasing a building?
technically you would only earn points on residential rent. However, there have been data points where people have earned points on commercial rent.
What type of credit score should I have for approval on these I’m only at 710 right now but just started building it
Also if I am going to get a these cards in about a year will these benefits be the same or similar?
I can't speak to if the benefits will be the same or similar in a year from now since credit cards are constantly changing. However a credit score of 710 is good enough to get accepted for all of these cards. @@ChaseYokoyama yea I have one card with capital one and one with citi but my main credit boost is from being an AU for the history
why promote venture x? After year 2 u have to spend 20K min. (non-10X) just to break even.
That's where the travel credit and anniversary miles come into play to help cut down on that effective annual fee 👍🏽
What is the best card with the lowest APR ?
