Poly-Seal Hybrid Polymer Spray Sealant offers a long lasting protective film to most auto surfaces; paint, trim, chrome and glass! It will not turn moldings white. Poly-Seal’s unique application method is much easier to apply and remove (one step) than conventional paint sealant products! JUST SPRAY AND WIPE!
Directions: Shake well. Spray surface with Showroom Elegance or water. Completely soak a microfiber towel with water and wring excess water from towel and fold towel into a usable size. Spray Poly-Seal evenly onto the wet towel; NOT the vehicle. Rub towel evenly into surface being treated until it disappears. Remove any residual product using another clean, dry microfiber towel.

Brian, is it just me or are the gloss measurements flip flopped? The initial readings had the HCW with the 86.5, but is then different later in the video.
Pete Friesen I accidentally spilled Poly in the Megs section... had to swap places when application began.
How would you compare these latest spray on sealants to traditional wipe on buff off sealants such as Powerlock, Wolfgang, etc. Can you use the spray on sealants in place of the traditional ones or in addition to as a drying aid/topper. I'm a little bit north of you in Pennsylvania and as you know the winters are brutal to the cars finish with the salt, brine, sand and cinders.
@@Jack102498 I still use Powerlock...and love it. The new ones are quicker to apply...but powerlock is 💪
Thanks for introducing me to Poly-Seal, Brian...I am very interested in it as a result. Question...can it be used as a topper for a wax/sealant like Collinite 845, or is it meant to be used as more of a standalone type sealant?
EDIT: I called Xtreme Solutions and spoke with someone who answered my question. The answer is YES, it CAN be used as a topper for a wax/sealant or can be used as a stand-alone product.

I live on Long Island and the winter is terrible with the road salt 🧂 I keep my Camaro SS off the road and covered up.I have a alternate vehicle that I just purchased. I really am having a great time with paint correction and messing around with my options for a coating. I have my Camaro ceramic coated it’s my baby 🤷🏼♂️I learned from your videos Brian Thanks ✊

Excellent review and great explanation in the beginning in reference to these tests vs. real world conditions.
I always loved HCW for the ease of application along with the insane hydrophobics. After being topped with Beadmaker it was my #1 go to product combo that resulted in good durability, hydrophobics, gloss and slickness... but man the PolySeal definitely single handedly gives you the same properties along with a bump in durability. This may become my new #1 go to product! (Now if only I can find a way to get around those shipping costs...) 😨

Do a dry application of the meguiar's hcw. Durability and hydrophobic is better.

When the performance is that close, the biggest factor for me is ease of purchase.
I can have HCW in my hands in minutes from Walmart or Autozone but have to order the other. Huge benefit for me at least.

HCW did not work at all for me. Took hours to apply that first and second coat due to streaking and spotting. I used the bare minimum (3 to 4 sprays for the hood). Could not make it disappear into the paint with the application towel due to water on the paint. Had to use additional towels to remove all the standing water. 99% dry left streaking, so had to re-wet and do a total 100% dry. Second coat was applied and washed off, and a blower was used to dry the car. Same spotting/streaking as first time. Had to re-wet and towel dry again :(

Excellent follow-up to your previous Poly Seal video. Love the straight forward and genuine content. I'm seriously considering this as a replacement for Powerlock-- do you know if this is safe to use on PPF? Also does it provide any UV protection?
It is perfectly safe for PPF.
BRIAN.... would you ever consider getting items such as Mckee's Hydro Blue or Wolfgang Sio2 sealant spray? Curious how those 2 hold compare to what you've been reviewing.

I like the hybrid ceramic wax, but the bottle doesn't go far and it streaks pretty bad on black cars.
It's streaking because you're using too much, and coincidentally that will solve your issue of your bottle not going far
On my gloss black roof I've found that the streaks disappear with the application of a second coat, manually, not spray on and rinse off.
Try the dry method with the meguires.. It doesn't take that much longer. You barely use any at all. The protection is unbelievable. I have a black car and really need to be washed. It poured rain and the car looked great after.
I've been using a product lately that seems almost identical to Poly Seal, it's by Technicians Choice called TEC426 Aqua Glow. I bought a bottle of it and the first thing you notice is a strong chemical smell which I am sure is not good to breath in, but I applied it to my car and got amazing results. I tried applying it to my car just after a wash to cut the drying time and I also applied it to my car while dry. Either way, it was very easy to use, next to impossible to leave any streaks and the gloss was fantastic. It left a very uniform and glossy finish. As for durability, it seems pretty good so far. It's very similar to Poly Seal and I was wondering if you had heard anything about this product or perhaps you have used it in the past? Any feedback would be appreciated. Keep up the great work with the informative videos!

I'm mixed first Meguiars was on the left and PolySeal on the right during the gloss test. When he came back to start applying the products they were reversed. What did I miss?
Megs it’s still hard to beat for the price! where I live it’s 13 bucks at Walmart. Do you plan to make a video or elaborate on your soft water system? I installed a water softener at my shop but it just doesn’t do the job, can’t keep up with the amount of water used.
I am not quite satisfied myself. When I get it straightened out...I will do a video.
I feel like I've just entered a new world. I have a 2015 beetle turbo gas. It's metallic toffee brown. And I just want to keep it looking OK. I'm not so crazy that I need to spend hours on it. But with the pandemic maybe that's not such a bad idea. So I'm trying to decide which I should try. Cost could be a factor for sure. I looked at the torque stuff and it just seems so expensive for what it was.. it was the first video that I watched.
Why did the GU of the Poly Seal drop in this test versus the GU test you did with PolySeal by itslef?
I've used meguiars hybrid durability its ok I like the product but I've used mostly meguiars shine as you wax or turtle ice products

Hi Brian, I want to remove Meguiars hybrid spray wax, can I use Mothers pure Polish to hand polish this product off my paint and then apply Mothers CMX?
not a fan of meguairs hybrid ceramic wax. i tried it last summer and i was let down big time.
Check out Renew Protect RP.11. Curious how it hold up against some of the other spray detailers.

I have the rupes yellow wool pad haven't opened them yet LOL love the uro fiber pads especially with Pinnicle jewling wax. Best AIO I've ever used tbh

i don't understand what people mean by availability. We live in the age of the internet, everything is available to us. I'd honestly rather buy from amazon than walk into a walmart and most of the people my age do to. Is it a generational thing? I see this sentiment on the internet detailing community and find it so strange.
@@AK-ck1bz can't find it on Amazon, auto geeks. autopia autozone o'Reilly's etc... you have to go to thier website.... that's the problem... poly seal technicians choice products are not easy to get...unless, I'm mistaken. let me know.... what is easy to get is meguiars... I can buy it almost anywhere and Amazon will delivery to my house in a day... if something is wrong Amazon will fix it...

Poly Seal ends up being $80 with shipping for a gallon. At $13 per 26 ounce bottle, Megs HCW comes out to $65 a gallon.
@@amazed6161 That's a good point, but I was assuming we weren't talking about price, but availability. Some detailing products I like to buy are only available through buying them at their store and so I have to pay shipping but it's worth it if the shipping is cheap and they are worth the extra expense. If you factor in having to pay shipping into the availability idea I see your point. I was also thinking more generally about it not just this specific product.
