turtle wax shine and seal or www.turtlewax.com/our-products/quick-and-easy/turtle-wax-wax-dry-spray-wax/
where can i grab this here in australia?
I wonder why they say don’t use on front windshield?
@@tobyhigginbotham2564 cause of the wax that can streak ?
Maybe against Turtlewax Seal and Shine and/or Eagle One and/or Meg's HCW. Those types and wipe the chems in during the durability tests. The gloss alone on this one is pretty amazing! The price isn't the cheapest, but it's not outrageous either. I wonder how it will be on hot panels for those of us in the south or the mobile guys considering the car has to be/stay wet for application.
I just bought this on my C7 Corvette Grand Sport in Long Beach Red. I put it on over a 2 month old Titanium coating. First let me say that I followed the manufacturer's instruction to the letter. I used the dry car application with a damp microfiber cloth application. The Poly-Seal goes on very and wipes off very easily. It actually added to the depth of color and shine of the ceramic coating. You will need to apply at least 2 coats to really see and feel the effectiveness. After two coats the slickness and gloss improvement is amazing. Time will tell about durability. I highly recommend this product. It's the best spray-on sealant I've ever used.
However, you will used a lot more on the first coat than advertised. I used about 3-4 ounces on the coat, but only about half that amount on the second.
Wow. This stuff seems to have TW seal and shine durability with Beadmaker shine and slickness. Crazy how strong spray sealants are nowadays. Put this up against TAC Moonlight.
I know this is an old video and you've longed moved on to other product reviews, but I'd love to see this up against Griot's Garage Ceramic 3-in-1 Spray Wax. Both of them have a blend of carnauba, sio2, and polymers. Would be very interesting!
Technicians Choice! I started using it diluted 1:1 to stretch it out and it’s still pretty dang tough. Undiluted it’s tougher than a 2 dollar steak. I use to swear by Carpro hydro2 lite but TC is more user friendly requires no water to activate it and more cost effective. Plus no streaks! Durability is also much greater than Hydro 2 lite.
I liked HydrO2 but found it did not last very long at all. Worked great for about a week but after 10 days or so it was pretty weak. For the cost I didn't find it was worth it, though credit where credit's due, it's easy as hell to apply in a coin wash if you're in that situation as I was. Decent protection for winter as long as you have dollars.
How about comparing to Jescar Powerlock Plus!
Their store is only about 30 minutes from me, might have to take a trip down there! Thanks for always branching out and testing stuff most people don't know about, it's the small guys who deserve the attention, especially when they are making good products :-)
Stop by...tell them I said hello!🙂
Dittos in Bellmawr NJ
Thank you Brian for another amazing video ;-)
Looks promising. Looking forward to more testing. thanks Brian
I just tried applying this today, holy crap it streaks so bad in the sun. you really gotta wait for a cloudy or cool day you will streak the crap out of your paint if you use this in the sun. lesson learned
How about a “Gloss Off”? Brian, you have one of the most honest channels out there. I really appreciate you calling it like you see it vs trying to keep manufacturers/ venders happy. What I really care about is gloss. How about you pick four or so of what you believe are the best candidates and use one panel. Before and after gloss readings in the same spots. Hit it with heat and read again then let it sit outside for a week and do a final reading. Personally a week or two would be fine by me.... it’s all about the gloss and not beading or durability. A week or two of the highest gloss is my end game. Thanks for the consideration of my idea.
I am trying to find the highest gloss out there for you guys. Stay tuned.🙂
being that I've been following your channel and trust your prep work, I skip to the chase. I fast forward to the application process and testing phase. :) Good stuff.
It is repetitive...however I show it for those just getting into detailing so they understand how important it is.
@@apexdetail85 i understand. Then you get the other end of the spectrum. The doubters. Lol Great work as always.
I love see Tac System products! With this impressive coating / sealant I believe liquid X would make great comparison ! Thanks
Good looking product! Opti Seal and/or Bead Maker would be interesting match-ups! As always, Thanks, Brian!
We have already seen P&S beadmaker being great for a topper to bump up shine and slickness but not being able to fight chemicals for very long before being exhausted. I would rather see Technician's Choice Ceramic Detail Spray TEC582 and/or Jescar Powerlock Plus and/or Liquid X Shock Ceramic Spray and/or Torque mirror shine and/or Concours Nova Jet spray coating from the land down under. Although Power lock plus has been around a while, the others seem to be up and coming choices for at least the weekend warrior(s). Throw in the turtle S&S and you've got some great comparison battles ahead. Sign me up for those vids!! Thanks Brian.
How about you pick this time ? You have used these products and I'd like to rely on your judgement... BTW another good video.. really enjoying them
Looking forward to more comparisons. Have you notice any products that deal better with dust compared to others? After washing my black car, it doesn't take too long for dust to accumulate on the car.
I’m buying this! Thanks for the video!
This is my favorite product. Easy to use great shine. Easy to maintain
That gloss is to die for. Can you bring back the salty brime they use on the roads in the northeast during winter. That has to be the best real world chemical scenario.
Turtle wax and eagle1 and technicians choice ceramic sealants have the best bang for buck interms of prection.
It is used extensively in the Midwest, too. Stuff is a nightmare during the winter when you cannot clean your car on a regular basis because of the sub-freezing temps for weeks on end.
Good find B!
another great video again buddy. tw seal and shine would b interesting 2c
Oh damn! I've heard of this but haven't pulled the trigger on it yet... guess I need to go scoop up a gallon!
Interesting product. Application reminds me of the old Prima Hydro Seal.
Great video. I appreciate how you’ll test products that aren’t very mainstream or don’t have the visibility they may deserve. It sets this channel apart from others who are testing the same old things over and over. I like the idea of finding the diamonds in the rough. With that being the case, I really recommend you try out some products from The Gloss Shop. They’ve been flying under the radar for years, but I’ve found their performance to be outstanding. Maybe check out Hydrophobe, an sio2-based spray and rinse sealant, and CeramicGuard shampoo. Both of these I’ve found to be surprisingly good considering I never hear them talked about. Looking forward to the next video.
They have a coating as well. Never heard of them until you mentioned. I will snoop around their website. Thanks!
@Apex Detail I use their coating as well. I didn’t mention it because I didn’t find it better or worse than some other standard coatings out there. Slightly easier to apply, IMO. The Gloss Shop’s competitive advantage seems to be the high amounts of sio2 in their products compared to others. Would love to hear your thoughts on them if you get the chance.
Thanks for these great reviews on these products. With the gloss levels so high and the ease of application, I would be willing to trade off on durability. I think it would be interesting to compare this product to TW's Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Sealant. My guess is that the TW would have a lower gloss level but might be more durable.
Nice video Brian! Let’s see it up against the newest products to hit the market in the last few months or year.
-Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Wax
-Turtle Wax Seal N Shine
-Mothers CMX Ceramic
-Bead Maker
I use there tire dressing and after a thorough tire cleaning it lasts threw several washings. I will definitely be getting some poly seal.
We may have a contender for Turtle-wax Seal and Shine
You could have some serious fun with this. Take 2 more spray on sealants that have tested among the best. Then take 2 or 3 conventional sealants like power lock plus and test them. I do think that in some ways would be comparing apples to oranges though. I think it would still make for an interesting comparison video.
Great find, Brian. Thx again for such great info. Since prep is always key and a quick polish involved, how does this and other top quality spray sealants go up against an AIO like Enigma? That’s a comparison I’m most interested in.
Beadmaker my vote! Great work Brian.
Looks amazing. This just might make me switch from bead maker. If it's got really good sickness, Im sold.
How did it compare to bead maker. How long does it last?
Great video as usual. Basically I have been totally hooked on Technicians Choice Ceramic Spray. I love it as a quick detailer and the gloss and durability are great. I would like to see how it does against Xtreme Solutions Jersey Devil. Thanks Brian.
Would love to see head to head between, Poly, Dry applied HCW(Sandro - Car Craft Auto Detailing - use his method), and CarPro Reload. Sandro clamors about Nova Jet. Maybe Include that as well?
Hey Brian, Lets put this to the test next to our Dry and Seal! :) I believe its the absolute best bang for the buck paint protector on the market, applied dry or wet.
Hi!
Awesome video by the way!
I see you using ONT ofter and wonder if you ever tried Wolfgang uber rinseless wash? Could do a comparison video with onr!
Great video and product. Would like to see it against Tac System Moonlight :)
Looks good. Maybe you can try at test it against seal and shin and Technicians choice ceramic spray.
Test against beadmaker for gloss? Would love to see that. Looks promising
Thanks for another great video! I’d love to see this up against Technicians Choice TEC582
Very impresive bump up in the gloss readings!
How about a new version of a product you used to use some before? Angelwax Enigma family has grown to include AW Enigma Corona which I suggest do a comparison with this. And also AW Enigma Elixir which is like Carpro PERL now and AW Enigma Interno which is an interior protectant.
One product that is available in the US now at Esoteric is Herrenfarth Sprühglanz. It's a Si+ based glossenhancer. I have used limeted editions version of this and is my absolutely favorite at the moment. Gloss and slickness is high and also the protection. Last summer it lasted me 4 months but maybe a month lower with the original version. Also comes in the awesome Flairosol fine mist spray bottle which only that is worth some. Would put up Sprühglanz against a QD or spray wax like maybe the Eagle One.
I'd like to see this up against Turtlewax Seal and Shine. I think the TW would beat it in durability, but probably not gloss.
Just so you know.....you STOLE my request, lol.
This time of year it’s hot, dry and dusty in many parts of the country. I suggest adding DUST as another category to use when comparing these products. Leave the panel outside for a week and look at the amount of dust that’s collected on the paint surface. Also how easily the dust is released by blowing it off with a leaf blower or air hose attached to a compressor at 90psi? This is important for those of us with dark colored vehicles.
I love these videos. Could you please compare this or turtle wax or eagle to the Wolfgang spray sealant for gloss.
Does poly sealant have a top coat? Luv the channel great information/guide
would love for you to test carpro's cquartz lite coating!
Have you ever tested Formula 303 Aerospace Protectant on a vehicle? If not, I would sure love hear what your thoughts are on using it.
Great video, how about putting it up against Ultima paint guard plus.
The obvious choices are TW S&S and E1 Wipe & Shine.
But I'm thinking something we don't see a lot of, maybe Polish Angel High Gloss. But it is kind of a unique product, so maybe put it against something a little unique itself, like Sonax BSD. Well I obviously can't decide on one.. 🤔😧
The Last Coat just released a new formula. It would be interesting to see how it stacks up.
Looks great product balance between both glass and durability...so which product u going to test it further
hi brian thanks for this review , like to see poly seal xtrem solution vs mother s cmx , thanks
Brian,
I would like to Poly Seal tested against: The Last Coat, DPC and Masterson's Shield Paint Sealant. Thank you
Wow this looks like a really good product! I would say test it against McGuire's hybrid, and Turtle Wax has sealant shine! If it can beat those two products and still give me a deep gloss shine I'll buy it! Did you mention what the price of it was???
@Brian, of course you know your going to have to put this up against Liquid X Ceramic Spray, but I'm pretty sure you already know which one delivers a deeper shine ????
I want to try this
Vs turtle wax seal n shine or bead maker...which one adds more gloss, protectiion and slickness
I love this product but I also use a similar product by Technicians Choice called Aqua Glow. I would love to see a comparison of polyseal and Aqua Glow.
Put it against turtle wax seal n shine. Also can you show how it acts with a dry panel spray on and buff off application? Just curious if it’s any different
I would like to see it against Turtle wax ICE seal & shine
You should compare it to The Last Coat, it has great reviews, great gloss and supposedly last up to.5 months
Absolutely. Then TOPPER
I would like to see how it holds against blackfire si02 and hydro2.
All it has to do is outlast Chemical Guys new ceramic spray and it’s worth the cash . It’s in that gloss reading area high 90’s
Won't the Krud Kutter Prepaint soften the paint or something? It preps paint for adhesion of another paint. Just curious as to how effective it is when used to prep the paint for polishing.
could always compare the adams ceramic spray coating... would like to see how good it really is for the price
How does this hold up against Fusso Coat. I used Fusso Coat on my 2013 Ford Taurus SHO (red color) and it worked great. I am looking for a product that holds up against all the crazy salt and stuff that they put on roads here in Missouri. So far Fusso Coat is holding up and the beading is outstanding. Is this product almost like that as in protection.
I would like to see that Polly seal go up against Meguiars M27 sealant and Ardex gold Supreme
How would this compare against NV Luster?
I'd like to see it go up against Turtle Wax Ice Seal and Shine
Is there a alternative for clay ,I have a bad shoulder and would not be able for the rubbing.
I would like to see it against Meguires Ultimate Fast Finish, looks like it could save me some time going straight on after the post shampoo pressure wash. Do they have a UK retailer? If it's not an unfair test you could try it against a hybrid Sio2 option like Infinity Wax Turbo6 or TAC Systems One Step Master.
Daniel Croteau Ultimate Fast Finish has easily lastested over 6 months for me (2 coats) so far with the car being washed every 2 or 3 weeks. It's the best product I have used for gloss appart from Bouncers Done & Dusted Si Edition which I got recently. Great quick detailer to try if they sell it in your area.
I'd like to see how it stacks up to the defacto... Turtle wax Hybrid ceramic seal coat. Shine, durability, ease of application. How long does the Poly Seal last?
Turtle wax or last coat test, keep up the good work
3 way text of poly seal, meguiars synthetic express spray wax and shiney wax?
New to car sealing and waxing. Find your videos informative and thank you for that. Quick question though, would you recommend items such as this poly seal on vinyl as well as car paint?
Have a 2016 Challenger with custom vinyl work that I would like to keep protected as well as prohibiting water spotting on it. Thanks
Nm. Was on mobile and didn't see comment about plastic til after posting. Thank you!
Hey Bryan,. Which one is better Sonic, Perfect Finish or Menzerna or Rupes Uno
Great video and great channel! It would be helpful to know how much you paid for the products you review, and maybe even which stores or online retailers you're aware of that carry it. Not that you should run all over town checking every store or scouring the web for it, just a general idea of how easy it is to pick up. Thanks!
The same as your self. I rarely get free stuff as many companies stay away from me. They know I will expose any weakness in their product. Not all are like that and actually look forward to the feedback.
How does that level of gloss/protection compare to traditional liquid or paste wax? Just as much or just pretty good considering the ease of application?
do you need to have a base layer coating/wax for the poly seal or can it be applied on its own? cheers
Love this stuff that’s what I have on my car and it’s still going strong, I applied it April
I’ve tried 35+ products, & NOTHING is/feels slicker on the paint than Poly Seal. It’s the GoldenChild of slickness.
Can you do a video on Sonax BSD // Briliant Shine Detailer and talk about where the product shines the most among competitors.
He did a video on that already
Definately a jump in gloss no doubt but I feel like you gave a low base number for gloss without protection. Most the measurements were around 93 with the last few being outliers. I would conservatively say the jump was probably closer to 3-4 gloss units from what you showed. But that’s still good!
Since Ech2o serves as a rinseless wash as well as a sealant and is your choice when cleaning a coated vehicle, as it is mine, I would love to see a head to head.
How about comparing it to Polish Angel High Gloss? I'm trying to find a cheaper alternative but Im having trouble finding something with comparable gloss and water behavior.
If you haven't already, try out soft99 fusso coat black tin.
I'd like to see it against Optimum Opti-seal as that seems the most comparable product I have.
Did they take this off the market? I can't seem to find it anywhere.
seems like a good candidate to go against adams H2O guard n gloss! which i love for its ease of use like a modified drying aid that adds great shine and protection! maybe even add in QP-ON 2.0 to the mix being a water activated product
Is guard n gloss a si02 sealant?
@@markshane2686 it wasn't but the new formula does have si02 in it
I'd like to see it up against Opti-Seal/OCW. Also, does it work as well with the ONR left on the surface after an ONR wash?
Brian,
Can you test Xtreme Polyseal against The Last Coat 2 Spray and the new Turtle Wax Ceramic Spray Sealant ? Thank you.
Put this up to a ceramic spray coating 💪🏼✊
How many uses do you think I could get out of a quart. I have a 2018 nissan versa. Just debating if I want one or 2 bottles
Seal & Shine, or Meguiars HCW
How is it compared to bead maker?
I’m still waiting on seal and shine against 1year ceramic coatings. (DPC and Cquartz) throw this in there for good measure
I was thinking Dpc and TAC Moonlight....sound good?
@@apexdetail85
Sounds good to me! 👍
Can you compare with auto finesse aqua coat?
