      To be honest with you I've always use Menzerna products for correction. They just flat-out work right the first time. And their latest 2 for 1 and 3 for 1 products are even better. Use a Lake Country polishing with the flex 3401, or even the max shine 15 mm Pro or Torx 22d a polisher.

    Love how conscious you are about health and safety. I've cringed many times seeing people open a bottle of product and putting it right to their nose for a smell test.
    Protecting skin, eyes, lungs & such from these products is very important.
    Love the sandblasting cabinet for the pad blowout.

      see this guy is unreal nice to meet a successful business owner who hasn't let capitalism ruin his moral compass. Hey Bryan are u ready for the Angelwax Coating line releasing soon? I guess John their head chemist has been working on a graphene Infused coating. And do u have any interest in show casing Tac Total One Essential because that is like Perfect polish with SiO2 in it can be a primer or 1 year stand alone that's crazy. I love it personally finally something that has filling capabilities but won't get in the way of the covalent bond the coating makes with the paint actually supplies anchor points for it like steal reinforced concrete.

    Thank you Bryan for another great one! Let me tell you two things. First of all I have saved so much money because of your treasure trove of information your vast catalog of videos has provided for me. I don't have to guess at what products will give me the results I am looking for. You can go off of these companies advertisements or product descriptions only. I am comfortable and confident enough with my skills and arsenal of products to tell customers that I can give as much or more gloss than anyone here in Southern California with compromising their oem or aftermarket paint. I was watching a certain RUclips detail channel that is fairly popular with 100k subs and the guy is supposedly that big and that professional but doesn't own a pai t depth gauge. Now I might sound like a pompous a*s but I can't imagine how much that little thing has helped me become a better paint correction specialist! To know exactly what u are working with depth wise allows you confidence in what you are doing and how far you can go after imperfections. I've even added a service where I will wet sand down the imperfection and then either use my paint gun to apply so euro 2k clear, spray max 2k glamour clear, Optimum clear coat restorer, or airbrush 2 or 3 mils of clear back on top. The trick is blending it into the other clear so get yourself a spot blender clear or use Optimus clear coat restorer that blends awesome as well. And that brings me to the second point. Not only have you saved me money and helped me to have the best products in my opinion but I'm a better Detailer because of all your hard work and time you have spent making your content. I feel as if I am in your debt Bryan and will feel that way for a great while. I don't care if this sounds cheesy or if I have a man crush or what ever comments might arise. The point is someone has bettered me as a professional and as a person and I want to Thank them. It not like I'm here watching Paul Logan or Poopy Pie's channel this is a content provider whos only gain is the reward he gets from a thank you. Bryan if the world were filled with like minded individuals the only issue we would all have is where to keep the new product UPS just delivered. Not a bad problem to have. Your son is a lucky young man to have you as a father. I know he knows that already but I want you to know that some of us see that too. Okay the star pupil will stop and shut up now here is your apple teach!
    Okay let's give Bryan a nickname like "The One" or "Obi One" not Wan but for 3D One get it? "Gloss Master" "Mr. Clean" sorry Bryan I had to get a bald joke in there after your how u get it so shiny joke the other day. I personally like "Obi One" or "50/50" for his favorite pad. So let me hear so ideas come on don't be shy I think I got you started enough show the man some love... let's try and get him 10k or 20k likes on this video too. If you have learned something by watching Mr. Apex's channel here then give him a like and put a term of endearment in the comment section. Thanks team Apex! Dang my phone keeps changing Apex to Alex for God sakes.... add to dictionary already!

    Looks like LVR503 is more aggressive of a cut specked at P1200-P1500 sand paper. vs 3D One's P1500. Seems like 503 finishes down way better then most compounds that can cut P1200.

    I have became a huge fan of 3D products. Their products tends to be better than advertise. I tend to cheat with 3D One. I will do two cutting passes with a cutting pad and switch to a finishing pad, then wipe off residue. First hand experience, I would choose 3D One over Presta's two step. I would love to see 3D Speed vs P&S Playmaker, I usually use Playmaker for a hand polish and a little extra pop. The one product I can't wait for in the new year is Meg's M27 Hybrid Ceramic Sealant and their Surface prep.

      The sun coming through the window didnt help much either. It was close...but for me...it is still 3D One.

    Great video as always. What's better 3d One or 3D Speed?

      3d speed leaves a protection behind which you would not want to do if you are ceramic coating the vehicle. It depends on your needs.

    What is the paint depth on 2018/2019 VW's? Does it lean towards soft, medium or hard? Thanks for sharing your knowledge Brian! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.

    • @apexdetail85
      @apexdetail85  4 года назад

      Moderate...you should be getting readings of 4.3 to 5.1 as a whole.

      I have found VW to lean toward the hard side. Found I had to step up the compound stage to 3D ACA 500 to get rid of heavy swirls and scratches.

    I found 3D1 in the 8-oz but yet to try it. But as good as it performs for you, when do you pick something different as the finish polish?

    Brian, how would you compare or where would you use LVR 403 vs LVR 503? ...again just trying to get a better handle on whether I need to buy both or one of them.. Thanks for your help.

    • @apexdetail85
      @apexdetail85  4 года назад

      I would use 403 on softer...darker finishes.

  • @ssoffshore5111
    @ssoffshore5111 4 года назад

    So the LYR 503 is their "cutting" compound that can be also be used as a one step depending on the pad and the LVR 403 is their lighter version that can be used as a one step, but is designed as a polishing glaze? So I'm assuming 3D One is somewhere in between? I noticed the Xtreme Solutions products are about 1/2 the price as the 3D One product, so you could buy the 503 and the 403 for about the same price as 3D One and have twice as much product... and possibly use each as the application(s) dictates.

    • @ssoffshore5111
      @ssoffshore5111 4 года назад

      Also, if I'm correct, and you're going to do the correction as a two step process as in this video, wouldn't you be better off with the two XS products anyway?

    • @ssoffshore5111
      @ssoffshore5111 4 года назад

      Just noticed the 503 is a little more expensive, the 403 is significantly cheaper though.

    • @apexdetail85
      @apexdetail85  4 года назад

      You are correct...503 has a little more bite. I would use 403 on softer clear.

    Are NON-body shop safe compounds and polishes, in general, more user friendly as well as glossier and slicker? Should DIY's even bother with the designated body shop safe products? Thanks Brian.

      DIY do not have to worry about it.

    Great video well explained can I ask1 question what’s the difference between cutting with a microfibre pad and a cutting foam pad is there more aggression with the MF pad or does it just do the job quicker because it generates heat faster

    • @danlc95
      @danlc95 4 года назад

      The massive surface area of microfiber, combined with how the fibers are "tuned" give it the cut over foam.

    Brain, applying a ceramic (average consumer grade) how often would you recommend a 1step?

    • @apexdetail85
      @apexdetail85  4 года назад +1

      Just one time before applying the coating.
