I appreciate that you guys show the mishaps and miscalculations that naturally happen when one is making a new recipe. This is encouraging to people who are intimidated by cooking and think that everything always goes smoothly and has to be perfect in order for a dish to come out alright. Great episode.
@@hio.hinomaru21 no, he uses his other senses when blindfolded, apparently he can 'see' science, things we need tools to observe are very easy for him to see which makes him lose his humanity? or something like that.
_Zunda_ (sweet _Edamame_ paste) is a part of northeastern _Honshu's_ (the main island of Japan) local cuisine. 4:25~ _Shiratama-ko_ and _mochi-ko_ are made from the same, glutinous rice. The difference is when the rice is ground: _shiratama-ko_ is made by grinding the rice with water (usually the water that was used to wash the rice), while _mochi-ko_ is made from rice that has been dried prior to grinding.
Now that is confusing, I heard "glutinous rice" and was wondering how could that be since rice doesn't contain gluten, turns out the word doesn't actually come from gluten, TIL.
I saw mochi in the title and, briefly living in a world where space/time limitations didn’t exist, was super excited to see you beat glutinous rice into flour with a giant mallet. Your way makes more sense.
This video does the music right! It's there but you're not overwhelmed by it, you're not even really aware of it most of the time but if it was gone you'd definitely know. Perfect.
How does Babish create a channel where everyone involved is so infectiously lovely to watch? Alvin is a gem and I love listening to him make content I know I’ll never make myself.
How about anything from Demon Slayer? I’m thinking the Yam Udon Noodles (Unwavering Resolve Arc) the lunch box bento set (Mugen Train Arc), or the sweet rice balls (Entertainment District Arc).
there's a lot of food in Jojolion (makes sense considering it's plot revolves around a fruit), thus making for some excellent candidates for this series
For early or late St. Patrick's Day, make any green food like these for example: Green Eggs and Ham cartoon: Ham-Egg-Edon Hotel Transylvania 3- Garlic Guacamole The Simpsons- Wasabi Wings
I've gotta say, I'm surprised at the lack of any One Piece dishes, considering Sanji's status as a master chef. The "Crew Basket" so-to-speak from Whole Cake Island would be perfect.
OMFG ALVIN!!!!! I POPPED OFF SO HARD WHEN I SAW THIS ON MY RUclips FEED!!!! I LOVE JJK AND THIS CHANNEL, I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD SEE THE DAY AAAAAAAAAAAA :')
Idk if you have done anime foods before but the fact your doing jujutsu kaisen is amazing I love it man you’re definitely the favorite RUclips chef and I’m definitely gonna have to make this !!!
Loving the anime with Alvin series !!!! I e started watching when you made the sea salt ice cream from kingdom hearts !! Ever since then I’ve been a fan
5:00 xD i like to think that Alvin just walks in the kitchen and starts making videos and Andrew and the rest just are accepting it by now and rolling with what ever he does
Alvin feels like the most natural addition to the BCU. I mean Kendall does too but Alvin follows the same format as babish. I didn’t care as much for the BA folks. No offense to them
It all looks masterpiece! The whole cooking process and all this is a unique masterpiece and a real miracle! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe with us, Alvin! You're the best!!! 💜
I love the recipes I’ve seen from alvin, and I’m gonna try this one soon as I have some time to spend a day working out the perfect recipe. BUT WHERE IS OUR BEAUTIFUL BABISH!!
How about on the day after Valentine's day, you make Homer Simpson's' Valentine breakfast from, "I Love Lisa", episode Even if it's just Bacon and Eggs
Can't wait for alvin to make pudding's/sanji's wedding cake : ) On a totally unrelated note, the mochi alvin is saying is katakuri's devil prower right? I haven't seen mochi in real life
Alvin should find his own style. I like him and the foods, but an imitation of Babish's act doesn't fit. Maybe something that lets him emote more (like with a visible face on camera)?
He actually has his own channel on RUclips! The recipes he makes are completely different and he puts a lot more personality into the audio, visuals, and editing. It’s completely captions, so no voiceovers, and I think he does it really well. Definitely check him out!
the shop mentioned in the show is real! and they actually came out with a jjk collaboration
Wow that’s so cool!
what shop is it called?
@@elnova7873 kikusuian
Smart business there, they saw that opportunity for marketing, and took it.
now i'm just waiting for a jjk X jennifer lawrence collab
What’s your favorite food from Jujutsu Kaisen? Mine is miwa-

Hey Alvin!! Love your content man! :)

Now imagine cooking all of this blindfolded like Gojo
What do you mean blindfolded? He could see, just don't want to get the studio pay more for his beautiful details eyes
Hello
Gojo just bought the mochi though.

Thank you for the clarification! This was very informative.
I aint readin allat, but we up🔥🔥🔥
Alvin is such a delightful host! very Bob Ross-esque in his narration, I never get tired of it! so happy to see another episode with him!
He is awesome and so chill.
I agree! Some of his narration's are unintentional ASMR gold!
That's it. Alvin has officially become my besto friendo.

I like that Alvin talks quite slowly and takes time with his words, makes the vid super relaxing and calm
Waking up to the sound of Gojou Sensei’s voice AND a Babish video?? Unreal
I’m a simple person I see jujutsu kaisen in the title and I SPRINT
This is a MUST eat as a fan of Gojo Satoru.
How about anything from Demon Slayer? I’m thinking the Yam Udon Noodles (Unwavering Resolve Arc) the lunch box bento set (Mugen Train Arc), or the sweet rice balls (Entertainment District Arc).
The train bento from the Mugen Train Arc gets my vote! Would love to see Rengoku saying うまい! over and over again in the intro lol
On the day after Valentine's Day, you make Pizza Heart from The Loud House episode, "Missed Connection"
Ah yes, my favorite anime
Aw that’d be sweet!

I'm really happy y'all show the mistakes, and how they're fixable and not the end of the world :)
I need to give making mochi a try myself and I think this would be a perfect start
Nice to see JJK here. Hoping a future ep does Nanami's casse-croûte next!
Next. Itadori's Chicken Ginger Meatballs.
"I like to put salt in my sweets for flavor" I feel that my family does this with some stuff too I'll still say hold the salt for my mochi please
It's just a pinch, but don't worry, it really doesn't seem like it has salt in it when you taste it.
地元の名物をこの人がやってくれるなんてマジで思わなかった
Now I want to see Alvin wearing a Gojo cosplay. I feel like it works well with him.
This video is further proof that Kendall is the only reason the BCU can function regularly.
Me: * just finished reading chapter 172*
* sees notification *
* throws everything aside to watch this *
Completely unrelated but the ost in the background of the clip is one of my favourites in all of anime. The name is "The Scariest" if anyone wants :D
I still wanna see Jojolion's parfait tackled one day
If not that, then the food from Restaurant To Another World is a GOLDMINE
I think about the Jojolion parfait all the time
There's also the sesame dumplings that Gappy ate. Idk about Kaato's stew because "Inca no Mezame" are only sold in Japan

Ive been waiting for this one!! Mochi is my favorite treat and when I saw this scene, I was hoping you guys would recreate it!! Fantastic!
I love the subtitles at the beginning
I don't know but I can imagine Gojo appearing behind Alvin and stealing the mochi lol
